Large party, dietary restrictions, tight budgets, big ambitions and a desire for everything to be *perfect.* Merilee walked us through the entire process with calm professionalism, talking us through options, listening to our ideas and sharing her extensive expertise. We narrowed it down to two equally delicious sounding menus and made the final call after an AWESOME tasting. Every single thing we tried was scrumptious! Like I could drink the sauce if that was an option. He suggested that everyone could make a pizza, then he'd slice it up and we could all try different pizzas. It made it so much fun!!! Our waiter, Andrew, spoke proudly about the impressive restaurants he had previously worked at -- I believe I even heard Nobu mentioned -- which raised our expectations for attentive hospitality. Sadly, that level of experience never really made its way to our table. Simple things like refilling waters, checking in, or asking if we'd like another cocktail never happened after our initial interaction. It genuinely felt like we were forgotten for most of the evening, which was disappointing considering the caliber of restaurant this aims to be. Thankfully, the food itself helped redeem the experience, and the rest of the staff we encountered were warm and pleasant. They don't know they they're getting them in so unless you're ordering a ton, they can't put that in your order. The standouts were the pork ribs and the tri tip.
