When I studied abroad in Sydney, i-Creamy was one of the dessert places on my radar that I knew I would have to try! (And this review is dedicated to all you fellow Americans, as I found out that Australians prefer using Zomato over Yelp. I, for the life of me, could NOT get used to Zomato, so hopefully this'll just be one more review to help you out.) When we went on a weekend afternoon, the wait was actually okay. I've heard that people have waited over an hour just to get their gelato flower, and all I can say to that is YIKES. At the end of the day, it's only pretty looking gelato. It's delicious but not worth a wait longer than 20 minutes in my opinion. Now as for the ever famous gelato flower, they LIMIT what flavors you can order for the flower. They'll have about 20+ flavors in the case that you can order regular scoops of. But if you want the gelato flower, you have to pick your flavor(s) out of a pre-set menu of less than 10 flavors. Their gelato is very creamy, and they do have a bunch of different flavors like black sesame and young coconut! i-Creamy easily served me the prettiest looking gelato I've ever had, but there's definitely better and cheaper gelato places out there in Sydney. Whilst we were in Sydney, we decided to visit I-Creamy after seeing the Instagram craze. They are in a convenient location which can easily be accessed via public transport. We both tried the two flavour flower gelato, which is great value for only $6.90. The flavours we tried were 'Pinky Milky' and 'White Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake'. Both were really tasty and extremely creamy. It is really obvious why this place has become so popular, as they not only serve delicious gelato, but the finished product really does look beautiful! Must Knows: This is inside a food court, so don't circle the block like I did looking for a sign. This place is also cash only. So have between $6-$12 AUD on you to build a proper Gelato Flower. A two color one ran about $6.70. Also, none of the employees spoke English very well and no one could remember the wi-fi password. The flavors were on point though. And they are labeled with little plastic clovers which flavors are for flower building. I did "Fairyfoss" (pink) on the inside, which tasted somewhere between cotton candy and straight colored sugar. Delish. I went with a traditional Mint Chocolate Chip (green) on the outside. Once I was done with my photoshoot I found the best way to actually eat a gelato flower is to lick it into a giant orb. Tucked down the back of sky tower, just past Event cinema you'll see flocks of people patiently waiting for their icecream creation. They have a range of flavours from green tea, Thai milk tea, young coconut, Milo and black sesame however the ones with a green clover picks are used for the flowers. The flavours run out quickly and they don't seem to restock, so you have to get in quick. So for a date forget the roses and give me something I can insta and eat! read more

Hidden in a shopping center, I creamy is definitely worth stopping by! Luckily when I came there was no wait so I sampled a few flavors. The durian was a bit strong for me especially with the odor. The pink fairy flavor was too sweet. The purple taro was nutty and not too sweet so I ended up getting that and the sweet coconut flavor. They delicately scooped each petal and wow it looked beautiful by the end. I was thoroughly impressed for only $6.90! I had to quickly take a few photos before it melted but it was so worth it. The coconut was amazing and would 100% get again. The taro was good too as it was not too overpowering. Overall an excellent flower gelato place in Sydney that I am glad I checked out! read more

Gorgeous and delicious gelato - I got the lime flavor, which was perfect. I honestly had very low expectations for the actual quality of the gelato, and was surprised at how good it was. The only reason I wouldn't give five stars is that not every flavor can be made into the Instagram-worthy flower gelato, for some reason--in fact, less than half of the flavors are available for it. That was a huge bummer for me. It took us two walks around the block to find- it's in a little indoor mall thing/food court, so there's no street signage. Had to try this place while visiting from the states. Such a great idea to scoop the ice cream in the shape of roses. It doesn't seem too difficult to do, but looks absolutely amazing. We just finished dinner until we felt like ice cream was appropriate. We heard that this place was really good so we came here. There was a bit if a queue due to its popularity. We ordered young coconut, mango yogurt, pinky milky, durian, blueberry cheesecake and French vanilla. Must add yhat they ran out of chocolate.We all agreed the winner was pinky milky. It took a few minutes to prepare because they carefully carved the gelato into a flower shape which was really cute. It's perfect add it wasn't too sweet, looks stunning and taste awesome.
