Awesome chocolate shop!!! It reminds me of Harry Potter chocolate shop. They even had chocolate frogs. The building that the shop is in is the QVB Queen Victoria Building. It's got beautiful stained glass. The chocolates are scrumptious and fresh. I like the variety of flavors and options to take home in a box or bag. Great assortment of souvenirs for travelers as well. The girl at the chocolates counter was very attentive and gave great suggestions of chocolates.

Haighs it's beautiful chocky. Not cheap but to be enjoyed and savored. The staff are very friendly and there is a vast selection of chocolate to choose from. Always great for a special gift or treat for yourself or someone special. We are not able to get to Haighs often but when we do it a must to get some to share the love around. A nice little touch for that someone special or to show your appreciation for some that has done you a favor. What more can I say it's chocolate and it's delicious.

#78 for 2018 Established in 1915, Haigh's Chocolates has been serving the Australian continent for over 100 years. They have been consistently on time maintain a high quality of product. With a reputation like that, I had to give them a try. I went to the Queen Victoria location, not far from the Town Hall Station. Located right in the front street level , it was easy to find just by looking where everyone was headed to. A team of 3 staffers ran the counter, answering questions from customers, ringing them up and offering samples. Pretty much everything. As busy as it was you would think there iwould be a line. Howver, there was none. And this on a day when kids were out from school. There were so many selections too it was hard to make a decision. They do offer samples but only of the few basic chocolates. For others I basically asked what they were like just to get an idea and help me make my decision. All around the store hand packaged chocolates layed from milk chocolates to dark. At the counter, in the display case, were the more titillaing favors. Sold by weight unless noted otherwise. Staff was on point offering many things but yet didn't seem to be confusing anyone. Several repeat customer are frequent offers are available. Too bad I don't live here. These, of course, are not cheap but how often do you find a wonderul chocolatier of this caliber? A treat once in awhile to one deserving can't be that bad. I purchased the regular milk chocolate and dark chocolate ginger. Both had 4 bars, 176g, for about $10.75 Aussie. I immediately tried the milk chocolate. One bar finished quickly in 4 bites. So creamy and yet, not sickingly sweet. Delicious!! When will I come back? Every chance I get.

In most of my cafe reviews, you'll see me mention passion. Something that adds an extra something to the product or service offered. Well, simply put, Haigh's are passionate about chocolate. To see how popular this store is, try to think back to their peak season (valentines day), and remember how long the lines were to just get into the store. These guys make a fantastic range of chocolate. When I am there I find it hard to go past the massive choc freckles (for the kids of course) and the dark chocolate for me. It certainly makes for a special treat when out and about in Sydney (especially when you get offered a free sample or tow from here).

Haigh's Chocolates is one of Australia's most well-loved and sophisticated chocolate brands but only has one shop in Sydney! Get on over to the Strand on George Street to check out this delightful chocolatier. As with all the shops in the Strand, the whole area has olde worlde feel to it with decorative wood panelling and marble floors. The shop assistants are classily decked in white and are on hand to weigh out quantities of the chocolate on silver scales. There is a huge variety of both flavours and shapes of chocolate to choose from, though the most common shape is their signature frog. I rather stupidly said to my companion "it feels just like Chocolat in here," but the creativity and quality in the chocolate really did make me think of Joanna Harris' descriptions! Why only the four stars? Well my friend, you'll have to have wads of cash to taste any of it! With one small bar costing $10 I wasn't going to be gorging on the stuff in a hurry, and there weren't any samples to cheekily steal. Luckily for me my friend decided to get some mint chocolate drops and was given a couple of freebies with it so I did manage to have some Haighs. Needless to say, it was perfect!

It is great to come here to this establishment at Adelaide's Rundle Street Mall; however it is just as great (if not better) in a prominent locale at the Strand Arcade. Trust me, once you have tried one of their milk chocolate frogs; it is like goodbye to the Freddo frog. For a chocolate treat, and even just to provide a great gift to a friend, family member or even a work colleague who adores chocolate; Haighs is fantastic for that. This is chocolate that lasts. If you are the Freddo Frog type; do yourself a favour and buy one of their packets of all of these frogs; there are about 15 chocolate frogs in all; and they are a great pick me up if your not having such a great day: just simply pop them in your fridge, and take one and you will immediately feel like a chocolate "Haigh's" therapy has immediately beckoned upon you; kind of like the healing froggy. This establishment is also the perfect locale for show and tell. I love the massive froggy chocolate display, and the establishment just has that elegant, opulent, abundant feeling like your in royalty land. like a grown up in a candy store who has been given a bonus cheque to lash out and simply enjoy.

If you love chocolate and sweet treats, Haigh's Chcolate is the place to visit. Lined with beautifully crafted and delicious tasting chocolate in a range of flavours and textures, Haighs sells luxury chocolate in the CBD. Their products make a great gift, whether it be a present or 'just because'. When my father would come to visit he regularly bought me the large mint chocolate in the shape of a frog. Every time I walk past Haigh's I simply cannot resist buying the super sized chocolate frog. The chocolate is simply divine and lasts forever! Most goods are reasonably priced considering the quality. Haigh's is well known throughout Sydney and attracts large crowds. The store is reminiscent of a European chocolatier and the products taste good enough to rival Swiss and Belgian chocolate. A trip to Haigh's is a must whether you live in Sydney or are simply visiting. A purchase at Haigh's makes a great gift!

I have to admit I am a huge fan of these South Australian chocolates. I always end up with way too many chocolates from here each time I visit. I stocked up as have run out at home. The service here is always lovely and courteous. Bonus is that they always offer samples at purchase time so that is a nice touch. It was buzzing with people today getting their chocolate fix. I went with a mixed bag of treats today. I would usually get lots of the milk chocolate nuts but wanted something different today. I ended up getting a Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie, Milk Scorched Almonds, Berry Chocs, and Milk Macadamia And Coconut Block.

There are a wide range of flavaflavs to choose from such as apple, blackberry, banana, citrus mix and hella much more. They also have themed candies aka lollies like Harry Potter, Peter rabbit, Marvel and a few others. All candy comes prepackaged in a resealable pouch. I chose the lime koala, Studio Ghilbli mix, passion fruit and the Peter Rabbit. The koalas and the passionfruit were my favorites! They tasted exactly like lime and passionfruit and I loved the design on them. It was difficult figuring out what flavors the themed ones were but the lollies were still tasty and cute. Overall, these lollies were tasty and reasonably priced (7AUS=4.67USD). They made a great souvenirs for my friends and coworkers.
