She agreed - no problem. She then sent invoices before the month was over, always labeled PAST DUE when some of the services weren't even completed yet. Communication was horrible and we terminated our agreement - Then the unprofessionalism went to a new level. Over a month to return the key, even after the final payment she demanded had been paid. She wasn't willing to make the trip to leave our key and would only do it when she was already in the area, she said. Finally got our key back and then an email that she met the new cleaners and "had a good chat with them - Good Luck!". I mean really... This is not someone you want to work with or trust in your home or office. And I've read several of her other negative reviews and she has excuses galore. I'm sure this will be no different. You've been warned, potential customer. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

I hired Green Gleam for a specific post-move-out clean of a main kitchen area and appliances…read more(specific photos were provided of what and where). I provided photos upfront and received an $80 quote with an estimate of about an hour of work. She requested a tip and cash only. I asked that it all be in the receipt. The owner also performed a walkthrough on-site before starting. Two hours into the job, she stated she cleaned an unrequested secondary pantry/scullery area off the kitchen that was outside our agreed scope, and demanded a price adjustment for her extra time. When we declined to pay for unauthorized extra work beyond the $80 agreement, she became upset, stopped working mid-job, and left. To make matters worse, she accepted $100 cash on-site ($80 for the job + $20 tip), but then refused to issue a written receipt. When we asked for a receipt showing the $100 handed to her, she claimed doing so would be "falsifying records," completely refusing to itemize the $80 service charge alongside the $20 tip. She then went on a tantrum to both my partner and me with inappropriate language and threatening to block us. I also searched the state business database and found no active business or LLC filing under "Green Gleam" in Rhode Island. Makes me wonder if she is working as a sole proprietor (Joyce) but with a business name. I will be looking more into her business practices with the state. Overall, very poor communication, lack of scope management, and highly unprofessional conduct. I would not recommend this service.

All those who were involved in the survey were professional and courteous. They listened to my concerns. They set the boundaries of my property. I wanted an independent survey done because I didn't agree with the town's boundaries. It turns out the town's boundaries were correct. This is not the outcome that I had hoped for. It was well worth the money to have this done as I now have peace of mind.

Finally, I spoke with the owner for about ten minutes about some survey work I wanted and was quoted a price of $270 - fine. Fast forward, after the "work" was completed I was presented with a bill for $580 including an hour for "consultation". I did not realize giving my name and address and having a brief conversation about surveying my yard would qualify as consulting work. When I balked at paying the trumped up charges, the owner became very angry and then asked, so, well, how much do you want to pay? What a joke. I told him I would pay him what we originally agreed to and asked him, Is this how you treat all your customers? He replied, I don't want you as a customer. There are plenty of honest survey/engineering firms out there that do not run up billable hours - avoid Thompson Farland.

Sks....where do I start? Samuel soderstrom is the owner, very young guy who absolutely has no idea…read morewhat he is doing and hires unexperienced guys to work for him. I hired them to pave a driveway, they showed up 3 days late. They proceeded to rip the driveway up when one of their drivers backed into my shed then deny it. They then layer the binder and the top coat. Come to find out they got the wrong topcoat and had to rip the whole driveway up and redo it again! In the midst of me observing, their guys were swearing at each other, using racist slurs, at one point I thought I was going to have to call the cops because 2 of them wanted to fight. Long story short, I had to pay for THEIR MISTAKES. Was told one price and paid a totally different price. Bad communication, employees don't care, won't accept responsibility, the list goes on. Upon talking to other people, rumor has it he also uses his employees for a few weeks then refuses to pay them and puts no trespassing orders on them. He's done it to 3 guys over there, hence why the employees must do a shitty job. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! There are being looked at by DOT & BBB!

The actual job took 3hrs and a part from Lowes which should have cost 2500$ based on the estimate. They billed us almost 6k. I've called no less than 30 times to resolve a 3000$ discrepancy and I have not heard back from anyone. They have noted someone spoke to me which has not happened. They sent the bill to collections to ruin my credit because they refuse to update the invoice with the correct hours. I finally got in contact with someone yesterday and the photos, timestamps, and so on don't exist in the system anymore. Funny. They wrecked my decorative stone heaping dirt on top rather than using a tarp. Unfortunately I think we will be taking them to court. Good luck... but don't hire these guys. I have had plenty of good plumbers these guys are swindlers.
