Amazing bar and sitting area in this historic hotel. There have been many changes and updates. The bar area is in what was the dining area. We sat in both the bar and the lounge each equally picturesque.

Decided to enter the hotel for some relax time and a coffee but decided to try their deserts while we were there and they were absolutely amazing and the guest service was superb.

This review is for the tea service only; this is my first visit after the hotel was remodeled, and I wish they kept the remodeling to the facilities only and didn't change the tea service. The classic french pastries were replaced by "chef creations", and no more pastries caddy that used to be brought to the table for display (the waiter told us it was sold in an auction, it was such a parisien institution!). The new pastries are pretty good, but tiny, and at €20 a piece; price expected for the place, they could do a bit bigger. The service remains excellent!

This hotel is amazing and absolutely is a 5-star hotel. They did a complete renovation in 2017 so everything's been freshened up but you still get that classic Parisian feel. We stayed here for one night becuase #treatyoself and it was totally worth it. We booked via Fine Hotels & Resorts through the American Express Platinum Card so we got early check-in at 12pm, late check-out at 4pm, upgraded room, and 85 euros to spend. I believe the hotel was offering the same deal at the time booking via their website. Our flight from Chicago got in at 10am, and with baggage claim and traffic we got to the hotel right about noon, so early check-in was much appreciated. The check-in area is in a fancy private room, so you feel VIP immediately. They take your bags and by the time you're done with check-in and go up to your room your bags arrive. You're given your own personal butler during your stay so you have someone to call directly if needed. They offer to unpack your bags for you, which I suppose is a nice service but I don't like people touching my stuff so no thanks. I had previously emailed the hotel to put in a special request since it was my friend's birthday, and they promised a special surprise in the room. We were not disappointed and were greeted with balloons, flowers, oranges, a bottle of Bollinger champagne, and a delicious cake made in-house (omg was that cake amazing). The room is amazing of course. We had three huge door/windows that opened up, as is typical of the Haussman style buildings. The bathroom is super luxurious with both a huge shower and tub. There's a tv inset the bathroom mirror. And the toiletries are Parisian and of course super cute. The bed is the most delicious bed I've every encountered and we were tempted after an 8 hour redeye to just crawl in and never come out. (We didn't) But later that night when we got to appreciate the bed I cursed myself for only booking one night there. I've never slept on a cloud before because science, but I imagine sleeping on this bed would be exactly what sleeping on a proverbial cloud would be like. We used our 85 euro credit ($100 USD) for afternoon tea, which was very expensive but very lovely (I think it was 60 per person). The room that it's in is gorgeous and the food was top notch. There were finger sandwiches (lox & dill and a foie gras) and scones as is typical, but the standout was this crispy chicken roll that was either deep-fried or crusted in something deep fried, but it was so delicately crispy and super delicious. The bar area is beautiful, so definitely check it out. They sometimes have a piano player singing songs. Cocktails are insanely priced at 24 euros a pop (about $30USD), but very fancy. Finally, the pool. Oh the pool. We were planning on taking advantage of our 24 hours at the hotel you see, so we specifically packed our swimsuits to use this pool. We were the only ones there and it is so serene and beautifully designed. My only gripe is that at turndown service our room smelled of cigarette smoke. I mean, yes everyone in Paris smokes, but ew. We were gonna complain but were way to tired to move so we made lemons out of lemonade and just opened our windows to let in the evening Parisian air and enjoyed our bottle of champagne.

Stopped in for a drink after learning the historical significance of this hotel. Wound up lounging in the afternoon salon where they serve tea but we indulged in a lovely glass of bollinger that was accompanied by complimentary bar nuts. Service was impeccable, and staff are all very kind. This is a true 5 star experience.

I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who prefer modern decor. But what's lacking in decor, the hotel makes it up in their location, friendly customer service, comfy bed, and great patio over looking the Eiffel Tower. Yes, you have to pay extra to get rooms with Eiffel Tower view but we found it to be worth it. We enjoyed waking up to the view in the morning and admiring its glittering lights in the evening. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's literally a few minutes away from all the luxury shops, across the street from Cédric Grolet cafe (take-away only), and the famous Cafe Angelina. The Lourve was app. 15 min walk from the hotel. A few upgrades in the room would be recommended: coffee machine (vs calling for coffee or going down to the lobby), mini fridge that's not stocked so we can put our drinks, ice machine (although we would always get our ice on the double whenever we asked for it - kiddos!). I also think newer and updated furniture would also go a long way. We bought the room with the Eiffel Tower and we were lucky to be upgraded to the suite which was amazing! It has 3 small patio overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Seperate large bedroom and living room. The living room has an outdoor patio great for private sunbathing. Oh their bed....super comfortable with great pillows, not one of those that go flat once you put your head on them. I slept like a baby! The staff - everyone we talked to were friendly and helpful. It started with Nicholas who checked us in, the gentlemen at the entrance, the ladies who did great job in cleaning our room and Tonia who checked us out. Overall a great stay and we can't wait to come back.

Our room had a king bed and a couch that opened into a bed which made the accommodations for we needed. The hallways were long so getting to our room took a minute, but that was ok and worth it because the view from our bedroom window was lovely. My favorite part was how I could open the glass doors from our room and let fresh air into the room. It was such a unique experience, and I loved listening to the city sounds while sitting by the window and reading. The hotel is centrally located as well so it was easy to get to the touristy areas as well as get to the train so we could visit some other parts of the city.

We arrived in Paris by train, traveling with my small boys and a big piece of luggage, and took the subway to Place de l'Opéra, a mildly arduous journey. We walked to the hotel and tried to check in, only to learn that the Park Hyatt would not accommodate us unless we upgraded to a much larger, much more expensive room (we'd neglected to mention the two children in our party when we booked). After much back-and-forth, my mom booked us a room at the Hyatt Madeleine, a more reasonable hotel that still gave us the benefits of her Hyatt status. It was supposedly a short walk from the Hyatt, but we spent a good twenty minutes schlepping across Paris with the children and luggage. (Very grateful to my saintly friend Ava B., who offered key support as a third adult in this unruly party.) Which is all to say, I loved this hotel the minute we walked in, reaching our destination an hour and a half after arriving in Paris. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and we were welcomed with glasses of champagne, which we quite appreciated. There was a half-bottle of red wine waiting in our room, too, which we were happy to drink while packing to leave the next night. Our stay was brief, and we spent most of our precious time in Paris out and about. The hotel was an excellent home base, though, centrally located and very comfortable. It was less fancy than the Park Hyatt, of course, but the lobby was attractive and our room was spacious and clean. It had a king bed and a sofa bed, where my three-year-old refused to sleep, instead jumping around and harassing me and once, picking up the clean underwear I'd set out for the morning and putting it on over his pants. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we took advantage of this by going down to Café M and feeding my children chocolate croissants before leaving the premises each morning. They also got room service one night while my friend and I went out for a grown-up dinner at Brasserie Pastis, an outstanding nearby restaurant recommended by the concierge. I'm sure the Park Hyatt would've been nice, but I was impressed by the Hyatt Madeleine, both the accommodations and the hospitable service. I'll bet it was a better fit for our group, too, what with the wild three-year-old. A great place to stay during an active trip to Paris.

My family was able to enjoy breakfast every morning and it was delicious. I still think about their delicious, soft scrambled eggs and fresh apple juice. The location was nice and peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. They were able to accommodate my late checkout, which was great because we had a later train departure. The staff during breakfast were offering me some bags to take out pastries for our journey, which was so nice. I would not hesitate to return to this location when traveling back to Paris.

I took a direct flight from Los Angeles, while she took a flight from Madrid. I was going to land in Paris several hours after her, so I called the hotel to see if they could let her into the room before I got there. The staff told me that normally they require the person booking the room to be there in person with their credit card. However, they were able to generate a link where I was able to pay for the entire stay + safety deposit ahead of time. I gladly did so, and they were happy to let my girlfriend into the room a good 6 hours before I got there. Once I pulled up to the hotel, I checked in at the front desk. The attendant helped me with my bag, and the front desk worker showed me to my room. My girlfriend had already enjoyed the bath tub and some drinks. We had some hours to relax, before we headed out to dinner and to sight see. While the restaurant that we reserved (outside the hotel) let us down, the restaurant in house (The Lobby) took care of us well. The hotel surprised us by driving us to the Eiffel Tower in their Rolls Royce, a complementary service. We took some great photos around the tower, and in other locations, before being driver back to the hotel. The room was very nice, had a comfy bed, plenty of space, a nice bathtub, and a clean and modern look. There was a small balcony area with two seats and a small table overlooking the beautiful architecture of the surrounding buildings. The only downside is that the A/C was not up to par, but that is the only complaint I have about this place. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us. The experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel, if you're looking for a great time!
