I was sitting outside having my ice cream and it was closing time and I noticed that the young man that supposedly cleaning sweeping and mopping didn't clean properly. They left rags on the floor. It's very unprofessional to clean correctly.

You know, you'd think that El Paso (the place where summer starts February) would have a variety of ice cream shops, but I think we're kind of limited (but we do have an A+ gelato shop and a couple of options for rolled Thai ice cream so we're not doing to bad). So I was beyond ecstatic to see a Haagen Dazs opened up here! I live for their pralines and cream... at home I buy Ghiradelli dark chocolate sea salt caramel and throw it into my bowl too. So now Haagen Dazs is a mandatory stop. Somehow I have yet to order the pralines and cream here though even though they always have it and it's always calling out to me. The banana split at HD comes in a cup which makes it perfect if you want to grab it to go while you walk around. What I've actually fallen deeply in love with is getting a scoop of the chocolate (or the dutch chocolate) and a scoop of the raspberry sorbet. Sounds weird together... well as far as mixing sorbet with ice cream... but I promise it's delicious. But if you're really not sure what to get, you can always ask for samples. The shop itself is on the smaller side with only a few two seater tables, but if you go outside they have four or five large tables with umbrellas which makes for a perfect place to partake in the delicious, creaminess that is Haagen Dazs ice cream. And they have the perfect view to the stage at the Fountains of Farrah so if there's a movie or music series going on you'll get the best of both worlds. Haagen Dazs isn't cheap, but it's not astronomical either. I do think they give really great portion size though so it all evens out. My two scoop sorbet/ice cream combo fits in a small and it's always satisfying.

Why lunch break only be 30 minutes

Friendly service but a bit over price. They do offer a military discount. I went during rush hour, and managed to be in and out in no time. The ice cream was delicious. Will visit again.

Family time and some ice cream

We can all agree that during this pandemic and heat it makes it hard for all of us. Today my family, including 2 teens, 1 child and 1 elderly woman walked into Haagen Daz and were welcomed like family. Aliyah was amazing!! She noticed we had a 85 yr old woman and she accommodated us all as best as she could while maintaining the social distancing guidelines. She welcomed us to sit in there with the air and later on provided us an umbrella and cold ice waters as we sat outside. She was THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE a business could ask for. She made my grandmother very happy with her experience through this time. Aliyah was anything but selfish or ignorant. Everyone needs an employee like her to represent their company. Thank you and god bless!! We will definitely be back again soon and will continue to tell people about our experience and our delicious ice cream too! Biyanca Gómez

I love that they let you try as many samples before you commit to a flavor! However, I am disappointed that they just dump old melted ice cream right on top of the fresh tub. It looked really unappetizing, and they really do serve that to customers. I understand that this is a way to save money/reduce waste, but it does nothing for quality control. Otherwise the flavors are rich, the ice cream is smooth and creamy, and the employees are always very inviting.

Dulce de leche parfait was overly sweet. But it was still good. Enjoyed their award program's free mini cone reward as well.

I came here because a review called it a good study spot, and for once, the internet did not lie…read more I grabbed one of the booths with outlets underneath, which immediately earned points because apparently my laptop and I both need to be plugged in to function. There were plenty of outlets around, so no awkward hovering near a wall like a tech-dependent houseplant. I ordered a coconut latte with oat milk, and it was genuinely good. The booth was also dangerously comfortable with the cushioned bench situation. Very easy to convince yourself you're being productive when really you've just found a socially acceptable place to sit for three hours. Customer service was kind, low-key, and pleasantly quiet. The space stayed pretty peaceful most of the time, so if you need silence to study, this is a solid find. I personally need a little more background chaos to keep my brain entertained, but that is very much a me problem. I'd still come back for the latte, the outlets, and the suspiciously comfortable booth.

Alright spot for bites and drinks…read more I dropped by with a friend to catch up around 11:30am. Interior was small but bright and there's WiFi available and outlets, if you want to try and get a longer stay in. A downside is you'll definitely hear conversations from other groups with how tight the cafe is. Staff there was very relaxed, and it took quite a while for our order especially as only a single person was staffing the cafe. Luckily we weren't in a rush and it was a nice spot to hang out in. I got a strawberry coconut cloud and my friend got a coconut latte. My strawberry coconut cloud was chilled and refreshing. Vaguely strawberry at the top, and mostly a watery liquid on the bottom half. I don't think I would get it again. My friend's coconut latte was far better: latte with a coconut foam top and coconut bits. It worked well overall and tasted great. We shared a butter cake, which was doused in a honey like syrup and very one note (honey/sweet) but paired well with the drinks. I feel like I missed out on their star: the Yemeni selection. If I'm here again, I would definitely try their coffee instead.

Orange Peel Pastries, Cakes & More - Not what I expected from a pastry chef.

Having recently moved to El Paso from Montréal, a city teeming with quality pastry shops…read more(especially french pâtisseries), I was on the lookout for a competent pastry shop here in town as soon as I landed. My first discovery was Belle Sucre, which, while struggling ever so slightly with actual french pastries (and french grammar, "sucre," a masculine noun, being "beau," not "belle"), excels at putting a french twist on american desserts. My second discovery was Orange Peel, a pastry shop that could stand toe-to-toe with Montreal's more eclectic (and less traditional) pastry shops (e.g., Pâtisserie Rhubarbe), were it to spontaneously relocate there. Inside this diminutive (but oh so quaint) pastry shop stands a refrigerated glass display filled with triple-threat confections that a) are simultaneously playful and homey in appearance, b) demonstrate exquisite texture (a feat made all the more surprising by the fact that many of the confections are gluten-free), and c) feature creatively combined and expertly balanced flavours that bring into play natural aromas and just enough sweetness. (Indeed, in a rare show of restraint for an american dessert establishment, sweetness is here kept on a leash, letting instead aromas come to the forefront of the flavour experience.) Although pastries on offer change regularly, they always come across as completely thought-through and carefully put-together, as if the recipes had been worked on and perfected over years. Indeed, there is an effortless quality to how the one single chef behind Orange Peel comes up with and executes new recipes, one that testifies to the extent of her pastry passion, knowledge, and skills. To top it all off, she is extremely friendly and always a joy to talk to and discuss her work with. Fortement recommandé!
