This is a cute little place with a few seats and a nice menu of choices. You can choose to create your own ice cream or pick from some already put together combinations. The lady who took our order was very friendly and explained the process very well. I tried the pina colada. It was delicious but I couldn't finish it as it was just to hard. However it was a dairy free option and the others appeared to be much creamier. Everyone really enjoyed the ice cream and our grandson lived watching the entire process. Last night we stopped in for what we thought would be a quick family treat, and unfortunately it turned into a very disappointing experience. We waited an hour and a half to be served ice cream. With five children, that's already a challenge -- but we tried to be patient. The place itself was noticeably dirty, which made the long wait even more frustrating. When we finally did receive our order, we were immediately told the store was closed and that we would need to leave. After sitting there for over 90 minutes, we weren't even able to sit and enjoy the ice cream we had just waited so long for. To be fair, my husband and children did enjoy their sundaes and milkshakes. However, I ordered the regular rolled ice cream and it had a waxy texture and taste that was unpleasant. On top of that, the prices were very high for the quality and service we experienced. Overall, it was an expensive, frustrating experience -- especially with five kids in tow. We truly wanted to enjoy a simple family night out, but this visit missed the mark. read more

The decor is bright and plenty of pictures displaying their ice cream and different drinks. The menu has a variety of unique flavors. I opted for the "I love Oreos" and was very pleased. I enjoyed the texture of the rolled up ice cream and the added Oreos, whipped cream, and frosted cover sticks. It worked well together. I look forward to exploring more of their menu. read more

Aurora Rolling Ice Cream is so fun! The shop itself is very small, but the menu is large! Kids can easily watch them roll their ice cream and it is an exciting experience to see! The customer service was wonderful! They were very friendly and held honest and fun conversation with customers while creating their combinations. The horchata iced latte is seasonal, but it is a must! I also love that their drinks come in glass bottles. I was browsing this fair website, and came across Aurora, and was excited to find a new place in Northeast. Turns out "new" is over a year old! I'm glad we found them, though, and they were doing good business, too, which makes me happy in these times. I have tried another rolled ice cream place in town (though this one is "rolling" ice cream), and this is far superior. The visual element is still there, but flavor here was amazing. I should have tried mine in the opposite order, but I tried the sweeter one first. The less sweet one, the rosé, was vanilla base, chocolate, Graham crackers and teddy grahams with freshly roasted marshmallows, straight down to being torched in front of us! S'mores-y deliciousness! The special for September was mazapan. Mazapan crumbles, sweetened condensed milk and pecans! (Would've preferred peanuts, but that's a minor gripe). This was a decadent and fun way to eat one of my favorite Mexican candies. There were a few other interesting ones on the menu. You can build your own, you can even put it on a Thai (bubble) waffle. But me eyes went right to "Late for Class": cereal milk base, strawberries and cornflakes. I need this soon! read more
