Crepe with vanilla ice cream and brownie

"Lackluster" Me and my partner decided to stop by the Hana Banana today for a sweet treat. We both agreed we probably will not come back here to be honest. Upon entering it felt as if the store looked a little bit messy. Over the counter in the refrigerators you can see food and jugs of products not organized and thrown around. Even their counter where they put the toppings in looked really messy. It smelt great inside like crepes and waffles but the appearance just was too icky for me. Service was nothing memorable. Nothing horrible either so i have no qualms when it comes to that. The food itself was just fine. I know the waffle was dense and not that sweet. I appreciate the abundance of food but it just didn't make up for the lack of flavor. Something about it all tasted off. The crepe was rubbery and didn't have a good flavor to it either. We both didn't finish our deserts. It was a bit pricey in my opinion but at least they are giving out big portions. I wouldn't go to this spot if you're looking for a sweet spot at the fountains.

Like that all orders are made to order. Received all items nice and hot which I like and enjoy. Did not have any issue with the fruits and didn't have any issue with the customer service. This location is small and finding parking is crazy but love that you can grab your dessert and walk around with no issue. Really enjoy it!

Hana Banana Crepes are HUGE. Even thou they have samples for you to look at and notice you will truly feel it once you order one for one person snd your tummy is like WOW. Hana Banana crepes sizes are big enough for 2-4 people. This is a cute place to come for dessert when the sun came down and enjoy outside with a date. Before coming here I had in mind a crepe with Nutella but then I was offered the crepe with ice cream (new concept for me) so I tried and it was good. I still enjoy a classic crepe best. Customer Service was not amazing, and they took longer than thought to serve.

As far as taste, I would give this 5 stars. However, I was literally the only person inside when I walked in, & the two ladies standing there didn't greet me at all. I brushed it off, but when I asked the one who got out a tub of ice cream without me ordering yet if they had any savory crepes, she seemed miffed to tell me that they did. Then, when I quickly decided what I wanted & told her, she said in a very short tone, "She can take your order over there." None of this is worthy of one star, alone, but then when my husband & I got cold waiting outside, I went inside just to see if it was warmer in there. When I walked in, the cashier asked me if I was going to order something else. I said, "No, it's just cold outside, so I was just trying to get my husband to come in." She said, "You have to wait outside." I said, "I have to even though the door says maximum of 4 people & we're the only ones here?" She said, "Yes, you have to." I realize we're all concerned about COVID, but standing at the back of the waiting area with my husband & I as the only people would have meant that 2 more people still could have come in & we all would have been more than 6 feet apart... but there weren't even any other people. Long story short: if you're not concerned about being tested with dignity, then go for the food!

Came here on Halloween for a cheat day. For my one day of the week where I break my 50g/day carb this was junk beyond junk. This location would be better off not filling their crepes and just selling the skin. The whip cream was mostly hydrogenated fat no milky savory flavor, icecream was very watery and melted way too fast, the brownie and cheesecake tasted freezer burnt. Cashier charged me for bottled water but didn't give it to my friend when he picked up my order. We were so done with the crepes we didn't even want to go back in the store. I know better now to get soft serve at McDonald for cheat day if I want something junky.

[ SERVICE ] When my sister and I arrived, there was no line so we took our time with deciding on what to order. It was our first time there and the cashier was very friendly and helpful in her suggestions to us. After we paid and was waiting for our crepes, there was an increase in the amount of visitors but was surprised at how fast the line moved. Very fast and friendly service! [ THE NOMS ] My sister and I ordered the #5 which was the Crepe + Ice Cream + 1 Topping combo ($6.30). They had a variety of ice cream flavors to choose from and also some toppings. We ordered our crepe with Cookies n' Creme ice cream, topped with strawberries, and drizzled with Nutella syrup. My sister also ordered a one of their milk tea boba drinks (that seem to be set at one size and priced at $4.49). I was a little disappointed with the drink - it tasted pretty bland and lacked consistency with some of the tapioca pearls falling apart and others were hard to chew. [ AMBIANCE ] The shop has indoor seating for a few and there are also tables outside. Overall appearance was neat and clean. Lines move fast so crowds were not a problem when we visited. Overall, our experience was good. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and tasty crepes! I like how you can watch them make your order and the fruits they use taste so fresh!

Hana Banana is a great dessert alternative to the frozen yogurt places at The Fountains, they specialize in crepes and waffles, and make both of them really well. I honestly had never thought of having a waffle in a non-breakfast setting, but I was feeling adventurous and was pleasantly surprised. Had a waffle topped with ice cream and whipped cream and loved it, the warmth of the waffle gets the ice cream to the sweet spot right before it starts melting, it's a tasty treat! Topping selection is a tad limited, mostly fruits and nuts, but it still allows for many combinations. Crepes do take a little while, because that's what most people order and it's a more delicate process, but waffles are done quickly. The place is tiny and there are only a couple of tables outside, but it is right on the promenade level, so you can take your dessert to one of the many outdoor seating spots in the Fountains. Definitely worth checking out!

The waffle is beneath all of the ice cream and toppings. Haha. Really good.

If you're wanting some sweet, fruity dessert this is the place to go. They're famous for their crepes, which include fruits, syrup condiments, ice cream, and whip cream. Fair warning, one crepe is good for two. It's soft and sweet. These desserts are huge! They also sell waffles, which are good too. Crispy and soft. Recently stopped by here with a friend and they now serve coffee and bobba tea! Again, their portions are huge. My only thing is that, the place is small. And since it's small, the A/C keeps the place super cold. I'm always shivering in here. Lol.

Store hours say that they close at 9:30pm on a Monday. It was 9:10pm when I arrived, now explain to me why the store was closed?

Just a friendly tip: Do not get a boba milk tea. Tasted nothing like a milk tea and the boba was awful. Thank me later.

A TROPICAL OASIS IN THE CENTER OF EL PASO…read more You would think it was a mirage in the middle of The Fountains at Farah, but in the El Paso desert, there is a spot near patches of green grass and cerulean water fountains that sells smoothies and quenches thirst. Upon entering this tight space, you escape the unforgiving desert heat and bask in a refreshing coolness surrounded by smoothies. The interior reminds me of a cruise ship with windows all around and you can watch the workers make smoothies in front of you. Definitely the place to cool down after walking and shopping in the outdoor mall. Now, how about those smoothies? The DRINKS: Sunrise Sunset: LIKE ORANGE JUICE ON STEROIDS The essential smoothie concoction composed of strawberries, pineapple, mango, orange juice, and ice. If the first slurp does not get you hooked, the next few will have you forgetting that you are drinking a healthy, vitamin-packed smoothie. The orange juice provides the citrusy, acidic flavor, further enhanced by the tropical notes of pineapple and mango and the lightly sweet strawberries. These smoothies are blended to the point where the ice fuses with the frozen fruits in a wonderful marriage leading to a flavor-packed slushy. Each slurp delivers a strong message of a full serving of fruits, vitamins, and minerals, like orange juice on steroids. I felt the orange juice was too dominant in flavor and could have shared more of the spotlight with the other fruits (-1 star). Honestly, the Sunrise Sunset tasted more like orange juice featuring strawberries, pineapple, and mango rather a smoothie composed of these fruits with an expression of each of their unique flavors. However, I was very pleased with the consistency of the smoothie and glad that no matter how much I slurped, there was zero chance of brain freeze. The VERDICT: HEALTH CONSCIOUS SMOOTHIES AND DESSERTS IN AN UNFORGIVING DESERT If you are shopping at The Fountains of Farah and passed by the Haagen Dazs unimpressed with the health options, then Tropical Smoothie Café is the place for your health conscious self. In a desert with unforgiving heat, this place will deliver a variety of smoothies made from fruits as well as dessert options like chocolate, peanut butter, sherbet, etc. They also feature a menu for your dining pleasure and to accompany your smoothie. The Sunrise Sunset smoothie can only be described as like orange juice on steroids with a tropical twist. It was definitely delicious, but tasted predominantly of orange juice, as opposed to a smoothie composed of more equal parts of pineapples, strawberries, and mangoes. Overall, I will be back to combat the year round heat with their smoothies. Looking forward to trying more and seeing you there.

Hi there, I have been a customer for many years in Dallas…read more When I discovered this place opening in the Northeast, I was really excited. I order the Açaí bowls. They "use" to fill up the bowls. I've been complaining for the last couple months. The bowls are now missing 1/3 of the açaí, for the same price! NO MORE! You have lost me as a customer. I am starting to make my own! Frustrated!!!

Their options are different than other Juice…read moreplaces in the area so if you find a flavor you love you'll definitely have a reason to go out of your way for these juices even if they're miles away. The first thing you should know, PUR is a part of NOSH located in the Monticello area. If you're just coming for Pur you can walk up straight to the cashier, but I recommend checking out all of what NOSH has to offer (I mean, c'mon... you're already there). The last drink I got was the Raw Red which had beets, cucumbers, carrots, apple, lemon, and ginger. It was just sweet enough and had a light enough beet flavor that I think my husband could've enjoyed it (he is not a beet fan at all). Another one that I got had a little heat to it and I loved it, but make sure you you check the ingredients well if you don't like spiciness. The price point is a little steep at a little over $9 a pop after tax, but these are pressed and bottled in house so I get the cost of labor and products. I would imagine as this business grows that price might have some wiggle room to come down. These juices are jam packed with fruits and veggies so this is also a really great way to get your daily in take. And it doesn't hurt that they taste good too! Great juice in a convenient location... give it a try!
