I had the fish with mayo appetizer, the National dish and apple trifle for the three course meal. It was good. Fun waiter, very personable. We paid 600kr for three course meal, 2 sides and 1 alcoholic drink.

Warm welcome by the host. Great food and service! A lot of history you can see if you prefer indoor dining.

Open faced sandwiches with salmon and fried fish

First place we ate in Copenhagen and my wife and I really enjoyed the food here. Fairly priced, tasted fresh and vibrant, waiters were friendly, and the view and location were splendid. We got the open faced sandwiches and the sauces that they put on top were the metaphorical cherry on top - a fantastic mayo flavor

My family and I try to stop in here whenever we are in Copenhagen. We love the Danish sandwiches, the goulash, and a cold drink. Their service is prompt, the prices are reasonable, and the food good. If you like Danish sandwiches, try the shrimp or potato open face sandwich, very very good. Our other favorites are the hearty goulash soup which my son loves, and their fish and chips with a creamy tartar sauce. It is a small place in Nyhaven, but good when you are trying to decide between all the other places to spend your money. Definitely recommended.

The "cappuccino" is a terrible instant coffee for 5€. It's sad that i can't give zero stars.

Great restaurant in Copenhagen. The waffle dish was amazing and I wish I could have it again…read more Everything was cooked perfectly. However, the schnitzel was a bit too salty and the tartare was too soft. The radish did however help with the texture a bit. The oyster dish was tiny but worth the delicious bite. The best thing was the service. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and knew the menu/drinks very well. The ambiance of the restaurant is also great and cozy.

It's located near canals, a museum, and several bustling restaurants. It's in the original Noma space, so most customers have high expectations. Atmosphere: The interior is Nordic chic, rustic and elegant. Even though we had a reservation, we were seated at a long table with other guests. At the time we were there, the angle of the sun hit me right in the eyes and I had trouble reading the menu and seeing for a few minutes. Their curtains are sheer, so they didn't help. The captain apologized, and said there was nothing he could do. Service: we were seated and given drinks menus. Everyone around us was served water, given menus and a description of what was available. Finally, a server came by to take our order, apologized for us not having menus nor water. I requested tap water, so I was surprised to be charged 30krone per carafe. Food: Every item shows technical proficiency and attention to detail. We ordered the schnitzel. It came with a small serving of fresh peas, cream, horseradish and a brown butter sauce. It was delicious. I would have liked more horseradish and peas. The sautéed leeks were served with salad greens and hard to cut. They tasted fine, but a sharper knife would have been appreciated; through our meal, no one came by. We also tried the hake. It looked small, but was very filling.

Lovely grime-y Euro-comfort food with blues on repeat…read more The decor and atmosphere is certainly blues inspired but run by hipsters. It's grime-y in a charming way but stay away if any grime bothers you. It's dingy on the inside with some nice sidewalk seats, but reeks of old cigarettes either way. Lots of folksjust hanging out for some drinks and people watching. For this they had high chairs and baby friendly. The service is great. They give of the air of not GAF but are actually attentive and charming. Food came or relatively quickly on a Friday night which was good with a hungry child. They were happy to explain things on the menu and even suggested a few things for substitution. Funnily everyone comes into the restaurant, loclas and tourirsts alike, acting confused where to sit or if there's a queue and after a dramatic pause the barkeep tells them to sit wherever and right on. The food was good. The menu looks very basic and doesn't do the food justice. The 3 salads accompanying each meal are listed without description or fanfare. You don't know which ones you'll get. We got four different ones in combination for two entrees. Even the chicken satay we ordered for our little one came with two salad sides. Two out of four were great, the others bland. Each salad is about 1/4 of a cup, fairly small. The sesame seaweed with ginger and heirloom tomato salads rocked. The guacamole (really just smash avocados without seasoning) and cabbage salad (no dressing, plain with two honeyed almonds on top) were uninspiring. We got the Manilla tofu and beef lasagna as the main dishes. The Manilla tofu was cooked just right with great sauce and an ample portion of protein compared to your average Nordic experience. The beef lasagna was decadent. It was more reminiscent of mousaka than lasagna, cheesy, pillowy, creamy, and very thin Al dented pasta. Not a whole lot of meat but very flavorful and filling. The drink list was pretty good. I had a nice primotivo for only 55 Kr. Whole bottles are reasonable finds at good prices. They also serve half bottles I'm carafes. Good brew selection too. Prices were fair for the fare. Much less expensive than many surrounding restaurants. Overall, great spot. Good to hang or eat. Not pretentious but just good enoufh food.

I had a stuffed sweet potato, and my husband got the burrito, which was full of beans and salsa, and came with guacamole and a side salad of shredded carrots and cabbage. The service was also excellent.

Den Lille Fede - preparation for a very long 7-course dinner with accompanying wines

At Den Lille Fede, they offer a 5-course and a 7-course meal, both with the option of wine pairings for each course. Since it was a special occasion, we went for the seven course dinner with wine pairings. Though I'm not usually a white wine drinker, favoring bold reds instead, I tasted three white wines that became instant hits because of their complexity, balance of acidity and refreshing minerality, accenting the dish paired with it. A few of the most memorable courses were: umami beans, egg, and truffle; fried hake fish with paper-thin potato slices and roasted malt (even my seafood-avoidant partner said she loved this fish); ribeye and beets with a tangy and savory refined BBQ sauce; and raspberry sorbet with peach and cream. Though it can easily become an expensive evening, especially for traveling Americans and others who aren't used to above-average Scandinavian pricing, I highly recommend Den Lille Fede for a special occasion and the experience of a long meal, vibrant flavors throughout a variety of interesting and beautiful dishes, and the professional and accommodating staff who led us through the meal. Expect to spend between $44 (for 5-course meal with no beverage pairings) to $113 per person (if you get the 7 courses, the wine pairings, and cava and coffee.
