I give my highest recommendation to Alexis as a personal coach. I find her incredibly warm,…read moregenuine, highly intelligent, and perceptive. Most importantly though, her coaching gave me results. We worked on me being more expressive of my true feelings, which has had a huge impact on my personal relationships. Not that I had serious problems in the area of relationships, but working with Alexis has helped me fine-tune my assertiveness and my ability to express difficult feelings like anger and frustration in a skillful way. Before I would bottle up frustration and then it would leak out in passive aggressive way, but now I'm much more able to express my feelings in the moment in a way that doesn't provoke defensiveness in the other person. I think something else that I really liked about working with Alexis is that I immediately felt comfortable with her. Each session was highly productive and felt like we could jump right in, get down to business, and left each session feeling very clear and knowing my next moves, and like I had gotten great value for my money.

She is genuine, open, no-nonsense, and comes from a place of honesty. She won't sit and spew psychobabble nor will she coddle you or tell you what she thinks you want to hear. I honestly believe that she is always seeking the path of righteousness for both herself and her clients which at times isn't the most comfortable thing, but at the end of the day is the enlightening thing. You'll leave feeling like a weight has been lifted, or at the very least that you don't have to carry that burden alone. After all, isn't that what a good therapist should do? If you're reading this review because you saw her picture and you noticed that she's easy on the eyes, well ain't that the truth! Alexis is one in a million in a sea of LMFT's, and you can take my word for it.

I found Innerviews near our house and that random choice brought me to Mira Rubenstein's practice. Don't know what to expect from hypnotherapy? Neither did I. Mira was tremendously informative about the process which essentially calms the mind and works through the layers of conscious and unconscious behaviors which I needed to put behind me in order to make progress. No passing out and forgetting what I talked about. Conscious the entire time and able to retain the process to calm myself down afterward has held now for over a year. Two sessions were enough to be able to get to the dentist on my own and leave the vallium behind. Overall, the health benefits I derived from this were much needed. Reasonably priced sessions, comfortable office, and excellent results. Office is located on corner of 7th and Grant..

During those 13 years, I turned down trips to some of the most desired destinations in the World. I traveled by train, car, bus... anything to avoid getting on an airplane. Of course, this was limiting in terms of where I could travel. A few years ago, I went to a hypnotherapist in Southern California for a couple of sessions, but I had no success. When I met Mira at a workshop she was teaching, I decided to try tackling my fear of flying once again. I had one session with Mira and it literally transformed me. Since our session together, I have flown across the United States for a work project, to California for a beach vacation, across the World to Israel for a family trip, and to San Francisco to board a Hawaiian cruise ship!
