During "Snowmageddan" 2/10/2019, we had a power outage In the Gull Harbor area. After two days of…read moreno power, I hooked up a generator outside the garage that had come with the house we had bought five years ago. After following exactingly, the instructions, I headed into the house only to be met at the screen door by billowing smoke oozing out. I ran back and shut the generator down, set breakers to off and, then called 911. * South Bay Fire arrived and made sure the fire areas were fully extinguished. * Fire personnel identified that three power strips became overheated, shorted and, caught fire. (Later, we learned from Shocking Difference Electricians, that the generator had been defectively repaired elsewhere and was putting out 420 volts.) * I called our State Farm agent and received recommendations for several fire cleanup and restoration services. I chose and called local Olympia's SERVPRO on Sunday PM and left a message. Within minutes I received a call back from Tom Fitzgerald, owner. Tom was highly empathetic and proactive with immediate steps he would take. True to his word, he showed up the next day. He assessed the damages and laid out a plan for the next two weeks. All through SERVPRO's servicing, Tom was extremely considerate and caring with our family. * I must say I'm in total awe. SERVPRO was so very responsive in providing help! In spite of the deep snow conditions, Tom and his crew rendered immediate attention and consistent follow up, day-by-day until the house was fully restored - back to normal. Tom seamlessly coordinated mitigations with our State Farm Claim Specialist (Jeff Albright) who was also, immediately responsive. When roads were too bad to travel because vehicles were going off the road, Tom kept constant outreach with us via text messaging and phone calls. We appreciate his genuine concern and personal care for us and our house. He consistently provided encouragement that things would get better. And, they have because quality-wise, one can't tell there were ever fires in the house. John & Naomi

I recently hired Servpro to do some mold remediation. I had several people come to give me quotes…read more Several people told me I could take care of the issue myself but I decided to move ahead with Sevrvpro because of the exact way they told me the mold needed to be treated. It matched what I know to be the safest way. I have serious health issues and could not take any risks. I was quoted $650 and was told the mold would be remediated by: 1) Creating a contained work area around the affected area to stop the spread of mold spores and mold debris. This would be done with plastic sheeting to create a closed environment. 2) Use a HEPA Vacuum to remove the mold 3) Remove additional mold with an EPA-registered antimicrobial or however, they saw fit. 4) Leave a HEPA air scrubber in the contained area for a full 24 hours to stop the spread of any mold or spores. ( I was told that was the bulk of the fee) I was told by the professional at THEIR company that was the only safe way to do that. I paid half upfront. On July 3rd an employee came and left (was there for about 5 minutes) and no work occurred. I called the business to see what was going on and was told many different answers but ultimately was told the work has been completed. That was an absolute falsehood. Not only did steps 1, 2, and 4 not happen (even according to the company) but step 3 never occurred either. The employee claimed he wiped the area down but the mold was covered in spider webs and it was clear that was not true. I asked what was going on with the money that I paid since no services were rendered and I was told I would be refunded $25. What was I charged $300 for? To have mold spores inappropriately released into my home? Besides the fraud, this is a serious safety issue. People are entrusting their health and that this company will do things according to the manner they were told. RUN!

I cannot recommend Servpro gig harbor highly enough! We are building a house, and for multiple…read morereasons beyond our control, our build kept getting pushed out. By the time we finally broke ground and got the framing done, it was October. Unfortunately, the roofers took an entire month to finish putting the roof on, and by that time, the whole house was sopping wet. Add another month for the siders to finish, and even our builder was commenting on how bad the mold smell was. It was growing EVERYWHERE! This was exactly the circumstance we were trying to avoid, as my husband suffers from mold toxin illness. We called Servpro to see what could be done, and they came up with a plan that I am happy to say worked beautifully. They fogged the entire house and crawlspace heavily to eradicate the mold, and put as many dehumidifiers and fans in as our limited electricity would allow. They even came back out to spray a section in our labyrinth of a crawlspace where the fogging couldn't reach. They had some difficult circumstances to navigate, but they always figured out a way to get the job done, and to do it well. We are beyond thankful that they were able to save our house from the mold. They helped us navigate a nightmare situation and afforded us the peace of mind that our new home won't make anyone sick.

I am delighted with my experience with ServPro of Gig Harbor.
