Their garden art went from whimsical to really lovely. I liked the wind catchers. Great variety of trees and shrubs. Summer veg plants coming soon, after danger of frost is past. But there is no way I could resist stopping in the Nursery to check out all the beautiful plants. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Pricing is not outrageous. This is one of the few independent owned local nurseries not yet gobbled up by a big franchise. On this past visit, I bought a bell pepper plant and a jalapeño pepper plant. The plants were about 3-4 inches tall and $3.99 each. They were healthy and gorgeous looking. Know it's up to me to keep these gems alive. Ohhh the pressure. They have a large assortment.... they have a bit of everything... succulents, roses, fruit trees, shade trees, houseplants, and seasonal vegetable plants. They also carry plant food, soil, garden decorations, pots, and gardening tools. The setup is rural and rustic but not amateurish. The parking lot is a gravel lot as is the nursery grounds. So leave your high heels at home. Another thing ... that unlike the big box shops, El Dorado Nursery does not have warranties or provide refunds for plants. Plus no dogs are allowed. They wreak havoc on the mental health of the resident chickens.

I don't make reviews often- I absolutely had to for Cameron Park Florist because they are one of…read morethe kindest, helpful people to work with. I was not the ideal customer- In fact, I think it would annoy almost any artist (florist, baker, painter, etc) to have a last-minute request. I made a call to Cameron Park Florist looking for a last minute bouquet for my mother's birthday that was on the same day. I spoke with Dawn over the phone. I informed her right off the bat that I have no experience working with a florist, and I am in need of beautiful flowers that same day. I was hesitant, but Dawn was so kind to tell me that's what she's here for, and pushed me to spring my ideas on what I wanted. She told me to give her half an hour and she would have it ready. Normally, I am met with hesitance or rejection when it comes to last minute requests (who can blame them though?). This was an entirely different experience, and this is the kind of service that will keep me as a regular customer. I highly recommend Cameron Park Florist- They have a great team there that has genuine passion for what they create.

They have always been my go-to--until today. I called to order a boutonniere and a bouquet for my son's prom date and asked if I could email photos for reference. I was told to send the pictures, which I did. While waiting, I confirmed a budget of $85 for the bouquet and $18-$23 for the boutonniere and specified white and pink flowers (no roses). Without ever reviewing the photos, I was told they "couldn't do it" and that I should go to another florist. When I mentioned that I had been a longtime, satisfied customer, I was bluntly told they were not interested in making my order and that I should find someone else. I was also told they didn't want to deal with potential refunds or bad reviews--again, without even seeing what I had requested. After this interaction, I left an honest review reflecting my experience. Shortly after, I received a phone call from the same employee, who was upset, yelling, and threatening to sue me if I didn't take the review down. She also made inappropriate personal assumptions about my life, saying I probably have never worked and have a husband who supports me. (I am a fifth grade school teacher.)I later received an email demanding the same--despite being told earlier that my original email with photos had never been received. This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. Based on this interaction, I cannot recommend this business and would caution others before choosing to work with them.
