Earlier this week, I brought in my new jeans and requested a 2-inch original hem. I recently picked…read moremy jeans back up and was really happy with the results!! Flawless execution, to a point where you can truly feel the attention the detail & appreciate the skills needed for this kind of service. So I'm very fortunate to have this business close by. PRICING: Totally fair. I was pleasantly surprised to have been charged $25 for an original hem. To my understanding, it's more labor intensive compared to a standard hem. Sam helped me from the intake and even recognized me during my pickup. He's kind, polite, a real stand up guy running an honest business.

One was tailored correctly but the other was incorrectly hemmed, even with specific instructions. When I told the gentleman it was not correct, he responded saying there was not enough fabric. I felt the thickness and, being a sometimes-sewer myself, I knew there was still some to correct it. Though he debated it with me and said they "might have some fabric left ". Not reassuring. They did correct the issue and I had to come back a week later, but as a first timer and someone who is detailed about my clothing, it made me unnecessarily nervous taking my items here when i walked in and noticed there was no tailor on site who I could give my specific requests to. But I trusted their process and hoped my request would be passed along. Service was good but as a detailed person, I'm not completely convinced this is the right tailor for me.

Maureen already knew what needed to be done just…read moreby looking at it on me, but she still listened to my requests and concerns, she was very nice, attentive and understanding. Maureen is very skilled in her work. She took in some inches around my bust and added a bustle for the long train on my dress. Her prices are fair and affordable, and she has a quick turn around time for alterations! For my wedding dress, she had it ready in 2 weeks. My wedding dress zipper kept getting stuck even though tried to adjust it, so she replaced the whole zipper entirely, and it was perfect! I also brought my reception dress here for alterations as well. After my wedding, I brought both dresses and my veil back for dry cleaning, and she had it ready for pick up in 3 days. I will definitely recommend her to everyone I know. She did a wonderful job!!

Came here after getting quite a few quotes in the area for a hem and shoulder adjustment/alteration…read morefor a bridesmaid dress. Over messages I was given a rough estimate of $40 for the hem and $20 for a shoulder take in, which was lower than the quotes I was receiving from other places. When I came in, my total to be paid at pick up was at $110. $90 for the hem, $20 for the shoulder. Of course, a quote is dependent on material, difficulty, etc., so I did not complain, but quote versus actual prices ended up being almost double. For a satin, a-line, unlined dress, this price was higher than what any from my group of bridesmaid with the same dress paid at other places. When I came in to pay and receive the dress she again upped the price by $5, making my total $115, which I found out after, was not the price given on my receipt when the dress was dropped off ($110) The actual work was fine and did the job, and the shop owner was very nice, but I do not think I would return here after my own personal experience.

Came here because my washing machine broke. This was the closest so I gave it a shot. Wow, I…read morehaven't visited a laundromat in over 25 years and was surprised by the prices. Anyhow I needed clean towels and used one of the three load washers for $4.75 and $1 for detergent. Mickey's deli was a couple doors away for a good lunch while I waited. Drying was a 25 cents for 7 minutes and put in a $1.25 and spent some quiet time on my phone. Yes the place is not modern and it could be cleaner but that doesn't mean my towels can't get clean. Several of the machines were broken but it wasn't a problem finding one that worked. Successfully cleaned my towels and can't wait to take a shower. Friendly employee too. I used the ATM for $10 withdrawal and $2.50 charge. Can't wait to have my washing machine repaired next week when the part comes in. Repairing a washing machine isn't cheap, $331 to replace a broken switch on top loader lid cover. Can't wait to review them with one star.
