We have horrible luck with Hydrex. This company constantly sets appointments they are late for or have to reschedule. Kiki in the office is very nice but, the actual service is lacking. Upon coming on-site the technicians are willing to identify problems but unwilling to solve them. I have been dealing with pest control companies for 15 years and Hydrex is by far the worst performing. Save your time and look elsewhere. read more

I called many places before finding Hydrex . Not only were they responsive but also professional. They arrive on time . They explained the process from A to Z and they gave me an honest quote . You really can't ask for much more from a company . Thanks for your help Carlos ! read more

I have used Hydrex for any pest control solutions. They do the job at a fair price and the quality of work is outstanding. I moved from La Crescenta to Los Feliz but I still call Hydrex whenever I have an issue. Truly 5 star read more

I was very apprehensive about calling a rodent pest control company because nowadays, I find there is fraud in every business - healthcare, automotive industry, construction, etc. However, the little critter in my attic left me no choice. I am soooo glad I used Hyrdrex and I am more pleased with the technician that was sent. Carlos was very professional, respectful, and courteous. Even more pleasing was the fact that Carlos appeared extremely honest, not trying to sell me more than what I need to get rid of the problem. Carlos was on time and very efficient. He is trustworthy, honest, polite, and helpful. If you have a rodent, pest, termite problem I have no hesitation in recommending this company because standards are usually set from the top. Notwithstanding some negative reviews about this company, you will not be disappointed if you call them. And ask for Carlos! read more

Having pests is never a pleasure but having worked with Carlos from Hydrex has made this pest problem as delightful as can be. He's a true professional and gentleman. He is great at patiently and clearly explaining what the issues at hand are, what he's going to do remedy our issues, timeline, efficacy, what to expect, etc. Even the receptionist and scheduler are pleasant, professional and easy to work with. Carlos really turned this unfortunate pest problem to a pleasant as possible experience and the service rendered was 5 star and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Hydrex. read more

Happily, we continue to live with no critters. However, an army of ants decided to invade my kitchen. Unfortunately, I couldn't address the ants as I discovered the ants right when I was leaving for an appointment. Called Hydrex, and Kiki was immediately on top of things. She said she would call Ernesto to come by today and she'd leave me a voice message at to what time. Returning from my appointment (I was anxious), I checked in with Hydrex. Edie took care of my call and informed me that Ernesto was scheduled to come today. At home, Kiki had left a voice message as promised. Ernesto arrived, took care of all the ants, sprayed around the house, and was done within 10 minutes. Hydrex and Ernesto are my heroes of the day! They are responsive, efficient, friendly, and highly professional. read more

We moved and discovered roaches in the kitchen and ants out by the pool, so we wanted to use a local smaller company with an office in the area. We picked Hydrex, and I'm sorry we did that. The technician, Mark, came and acted as if he were having a bad day. No problem, I wasn't looking for a friend. He charged $400.00 for the service, and promised a follow up. We also set up for him to come spray every three months around the outside of the house. I wanted monthly, but, he said we didn't need it that often. He never came back. I called Hydrex, and they claimed that there was no guarantee, there would not be a follow up, and they had no idea what I was talking about in terms of having set up regular service. Oh well, NEXT.... read more

I would definitely recommend this company for any pest problems you have. When I called Erica she was able to have Charlie come by my building to check for termites. He was on time and very helpful and gave us our quote right away. When I called Erica to schedule the treatment she was more than helpful when I asked for a Saturday as well as asking for an early morning start. Very helpful and pleasant to work with. read more

Miguel has been out to our house for ants and now a rat in the attic. Both times we had simply excellent service and communication. Highly recommend!! read more

We researched several pest control companies before deciding to go with Hydrex to help us with a rat problem in our attic. In October on 2009, they came out and trapped several rats and also sealed/patched any holes they were coming through. The price was somewhat high but we felt good about supporting a local company. The work they did was average. They delivered what they said they would, nothing more, nothing less. The service came with a 30 day guarantee, meaning they would come back to catch additional rats up to 30 days after the service was completed. We called on the 28th day after hearing noises upstairs and they argued with us about the initial date of service. It was only after I provided the receipt (they don't have their own records?) that they agreed we were within the warranty period and sent someone out. After that somewhat minor hiccup, all was well until this last month (April 2011) when we got a new roof. The roofers removed a lot of the patch work that had been done by Hydrex in 2009 and we needed to have it redone. We called Hydrex back to get a quote for patch work. We were told the technician would be here between 8am and 12pm. We waited and waited and at 12:45 the technician came to the door and apologized for being late but said he still needed some time. Apparently, he had been sitting in his truck outside our house on the phone for quite some time. After that, he returned to his car and remained on the phone in front of our house for another 30 minutes. Not cool. He finally came to provide our estimate at 1:15, 75 minutes after the end of the 4 hour window. So, after the issues with the warranty in 2009 and this late technician today, I think we'll be going with another (hopefully more professional) company. read more

Bed bugs are the literal devil. two unsuccessful attempts. Round 3: Hydrex. Called: received very clear instructions on how to handle the issue on my end. David showed up. Assessed, treated, done. All done in two days. Mad at myself I didn't use Hydrex the first time. David, you blinding light from heaven, bringer of death, and super nice guy; thank you read more

This company has terrible customer service. She definitely hates her job & make it difficult for customers. They charge high price & don't perform much. Beware on getting ripped off & given a bad attitude. I'll never come back. read more

Inspector came on time. Was able to rid my ants within 3 days. Would highly recommend these folks

Called Hydrex for another inspection. The inspector found some slight termite signs which he took care of quickly. It has been two years since I first reviewed Hydrex and am glad to say that the high quality service continues and that I can still confidently recommend this business. Hydrex treats their customers like friends and as if it is their own home that they are protecting from pests. Having them in close by in the community and the services that they provide makes my life easier. read more

Love these guys! I've used them twice... the first time to rat-proof our 1927 home. That was over 3 years ago. It was guaranteed for I think 6 months and they did have to come back once, which the technician fixed a small area where they tried to break back in. The Hydrex guys were VERY thorough and professional and the price was lower than others I got estimates from. To date these rats can not get in my house! so I'm just laughing knowing the little haters can not mess with me. After that great experience I called again for wasp nest removal and they came out and smacked those down in like 10 minutes at a very reasonable charge. UPDATE EIGHT YEARS LATER: Still no rats. They still can't get in. Not one. Thanks again. read more

This co. is on top of their game... we had a rodent issue for a while and they were there every step of the way until the issue was resolved. Mind you this was a tenant occupied property with a very picky tenant (he's a nice guy, but picky).. all and all super easy to deal with. Erica (at the back office) and Miguel (on the field) were my go-to people. I would leave 10 stars if I could for them. read more

Mark has been the one who's been coming to our house to ensure that we're not plagued by rats, ants, etc. for about 3 years now. He's always been available and responsive to our calls. So grateful to have a professional like him whom we could rely on. =) If I could have given him more than five stars, I would have! read more

I got this company after looking at Angie's List. I needed them for an ant problem ... anyways, this review comes a year later after the fact ... they did a great job, totally trustworthy and very respectful. In fact, I called them a couple of weeks after they sprayed the outside to let them know I was still having a problem. Without any further cost and very promptly they sent someone out who took care of it. I have not had a problem since! And that was last summer. I can definitely highly recommend them. read more

Had Carlos from Hydrex come over to my house to get rid of bugs in the yard. He took a sample and said he would get back to me and never did. I left a message but nobody got back to me. If the job was too difficult someone from Hydrex should've given us a courtesy call saying they are unable to help or do the job all together. Beware this place will ignore you if they can't do the job and waste your time. read more

Update: I am impressed that Hydrex's manager and president reached out to us. They showed that they want to do a good job. They introduced more options available to us for removing ants like vapor deposition for tight areas, special caulking for cracks where ants can enter and even an option to treat under the house. The president of the company has a lengthy background of pest control. While Raid spray has kept our house clean of ants, we may try their service again in the future to see just how effective Hydrex can be. Original: We have the bi-monthly service for ants. In theory, the technician comes every other month to spray outside the house so that the ants do not come inside. However, every summer, I see ants. I call to schedule a follow-up. They're never available until 5 days later. By then, I've done all the work myself trying all the DIY home remedies and spraying Raid all over the house. When Ernesto finally comes, I'm expecting to see no more ants. Yet, I still see ants! I have to call two, three times each time waiting a few days for someone to actually show up. I don't know what I'm paying for. I'm seriously looking at another service because Hydrex can't get it right! read more

Who wants to deal with termites and termite damage? Well if you have to, then this company is the one to work with. Victor came out on time, knew what he was talking about, didn't try to upsell me on anything and gave me an estimate for the work on the spot. Then within a few hours Sonia from their office called and asked if I wanted to go ahead with having the work done and got something on the calendar for just a few days from the initial appointment. She explained to me what would happen next, was professional, and easy to deal with. Can't ask for more... other than getting rid of these termites! read more

They did a great job for us. Quick turnaround, very responsive and we were very satisfied.

This company was recommended by my real estate thru another agent. I called again to use the service for my house because my husband found some termites in a local corner. Mark Han the inspector was sent very thourough, honest and showed pictures of some problem under the house. He set up the appt. right away for the necessary work to be done and gave proposition to the company. It was reasonable, he is reliable, and would recommend this gentleman to do the work! read more

Miguel came out in February to deal with a major ant invasion in the kitchen. He is knowledgeable and very thorough. After treating the ants, he carefully checked the screens in the attic and patched up a gap around the cleanout pipe outside that could let animals in. The ants disappeared and have not come back. Just in case, I signed up for a bimonthly plan. Yesterday, Hydrex called and scheduled a time for Miguel to come today. They were very happy to come at the time that worked best for me. Miguel knocked on the door to see how everything was. My dogs were barking in the window, so he returned to his truck and got them both dog treats and said hello to them. He then did his usual careful work and checked in before leaving. Thorough, professional service combined with a very friendly technician. read more

Don't know how they come up with they're quotes if the technician doesn't even get out of their car...

Rafael and Fernando helped us with our eradication of termites this morning and they are more than helpful. We had termite work done at our home by hydrex Pest and Termite company. The inspector they send over is Mark Han. Mark is a very very nice man and very thorough. He inspected the property and I told us what had to be done. He gave us a starting date and time. When Mark was finished, all the new wood was painted to match the existing. The men working along with Mark are also very nice I knew exactly what to do. I give hydrex Pest Control and Mark Han a 5-star rating! read more

I've worked with several pest control companies in the last 18 years and none of them have compared to the outstanding service Hydrex provides. The ladies who run the office are there to help us on a dime. Eddi, Kiki and Erica are amazing. They care. They have integrity and they are dependable. Termite work, bed bugs, rodents, etc. Their technicians are qualified to do the job correctly and effectively. I have no preference in the technician assigned because all of them solve any pest/rodent problems. I leave it to Eddi, Kiki, and Erica to decide the best fit for the job. I refer Hydrex in Glendale to anyone who inquires about pest control services. They are not outrageous in cost. They provide good service for what they charge. Try Hydrex for yourself and you will be asking yourself why you didn't call them sooner. read more

My husband and I recently called Hydrex about some bed bug problems we had in our bedroom. We called and spoke with one of the ladys in the office named Eddi she reassured us they could resolve our problem fast and effectively. She send out a technician the next day he was able to rid us of beg bugs after one spray. He also told us they would do a follow up spray in a week or so later. We also got different quotes on prices this company had the best price and best customer service. We are very pleased to be bug free now. And would use this company again for future use! Thanks Hydrex!!! read more

Last summer we started getting cockroaches in our kitchen, it was the first time at this house since we bought it, 25 years ago. At first it was just a few here and there, but they soon multiplied quickly. Twice I removed everything from the kitchen and sprayed every square inch, I waited a few days, put everything back, but they soon came back with a vengeance! It got to the point where we didn't even want to be in our house, they were taunting us it seemed, they no just came out when it was dark, they had no fear! Finally I stopped by hydrex pest control on foothill blvd in La Crescenta I explained the problem, they were very friendly and understanding and set up an appointment for "Dave" to come out Monday. On Monday, Dave showed up right on time very friendly and professional, looked over my house and explained the process . He said He wanted me to remove everything from the kitchen and put it on the dining room table, I told him I had done that twice before, he said, well, I'm going to ask you to do it one more time, he was very confident so I said ok. He told me I would have to stay out of the house for a couple of hours, but the roach problem would be solved! I followed his instructions exactly, for the next month or so, every morning I got up I would find dead cockroaches in different places around the kitchen, but I never saw a live on again, eventually I stopped finding dead ones and now the middle of January they're just a bad memory. The charge for that treatment was a little over $200, Dave was the nicest guy ever, in fact, I ran into him on several different occasions he asked me if I had anymore problems I said joyfully, no! I felt like he had become a new good friend! I am so incredibly satisfied with Dave and Hydrex Pest Control, I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart if you have a problem, CALL THEM WITHOUT HESITATION!! You will not regret it, He gave us our house back to us!!! read more

Victor M. Mendoza is the nicest young man who came to give estimate for termite control. He was not only on time, and called to give accurate time of arrival (which is important to me, as I hate waiting for people to come at a given time and then they are very late... he was on time exactly).. Victor gave me a good fair estimate for tenting house to take care of our termite problem... he went above and beyond, was not pressuring me in the least, just told me honestly what he believed needed to be done to exterminate and keep our old old home termite free... I highly recommend... ask for Victor! read more
