I recently had the opportunity to replace the engine in my 1998 Integra after sitting for a few years. Made the mistake of having a friend start the job. Ended up having a half finished "project." Parts were left everywhere and many things missing. I was refered to Athony by a close buddy, and I asked him if there was anything he could do to save my baby, and within a few days of him starting the job, the car runs PERFECT. No idle issue, no check engine light, etc. I was even ok to drive it into San Francisco to work the exact same day. He personally double checked everything about the car and stayed few hours after closing so i was able to pick it up the next morning as scheduled. He informed me about future things i should look at doing work on and never felt pushed to it. Great and reasonable price and everyone there was very welcoming. I left a 5 star review for Hybridworks Automotive a couple of years ago. I'm late writing this review as I have been back 2 times since then, (my wife's car and mine), for different issues. The guys that work here are a total blessing. The owner and I have talked on a few occasions. He started with so little and has grown his customer base due to the way he treats everyone, with respect. His prices are more than fair and I feel guilty walking away not paying more for the work being performed. It sucks when one of our two "older" vehicles needs work, but I don't feel as anxious as I used to knowing I dealing with a reputable business. I had a great experience with Hybridworks! As a young woman, new to the area I wanted to go somewhere where I wouldn't be taken advantage of for my lack of car knowledge. I had severe rust on all of my brake pads, but Anthony checked all of them and only recommended that I replace the back ones which were actually worn as well. They easily could have told me to replace them all, but they were very honest and quoted me a great price! They got me in as soon as they could and did a great job. 10 plus years ago hybridworks tuned my EG hatch it ran fast and reliably! I was very impressed with their tune...I have since moved out of California and started having issues with my car. After exhausting all of my knowledge and throwing parts at it, I contacted hybrid works as a last ditch effort to see if they could help. The issues I'm having is NOT because of anything they did those years ago nor is it really their problem. I received a call today from the shop and Anthony walked me through a bunch of stuff to try over the phone and helped me narrow down the search for my issue. He didn't have to take time out of his busy schedule to help me, it's not his fault the car isn't running right, BUT he did! This is the most legit and honest tuner I met. I spoke to Anthony who is the owner of the shop and he said he could tune my RSX and gave me a really good deal for the tune. That same day (yesterday) I drove from Elk Grove to his shop. His crew and of course Anthony were very welcoming and nice. Well he got my car in and started doing what they do best. Any person who has been messing with cars for years can easily perform an engine swap. Heck, even an old fart like me can probably pull that off. BUT, only one person who can manage to pull off the following events that happened to me and my Type R and that is Anthony at HYBRIDWORKS. The first time I met Anthony, I felt like we know each other for a long time. That's how comfortable he made me feel. He is a down to earth person without the ignorance of "Mr. knows it all" appearance like most other shop owners. Let me get right on to it. The first time I met Anthony is the day I bought my caR in for the dyno tune of my JUN 3 built engine. On the dyno day, he fixed my intermittent injector, discovered my wrong breaking-in oil, dyno tuned my JUN 3 setup to perfection and installed my aftermarket exhaust system. A week later, my engine developed a tricky coolant and oil mix which he troubleshot to a leak in my built block that even a well-known machine shop cannot figure out. Time for a new built block and let's go supercharge. He performed the assembly of the new blocked, installed the supercharger, dyno tuned the engine and try to get my caR up and running in a record time. Remember? This caR is my daily. A few months later, I was on my way to the first Treasure Island Car-n-Coffee at 7:45AM when the oil return plug on my old beat up Moroso oil pan decided to pop and spilled most of the oil on the Bay Bridge. I knew this problem may happen but opted to ignore it. I limped the caR to Treasure Island parking lot and didn't know what to do next. Should I call a tow truck to tow my caR 60 miles back home or should I do this and that....Many options came to my mind but none is a sure bet. That's when Anthony at HYBRIDWORKS comes in. I dialed his number and woke him up from his beauty rest at 8:30 on Saturday morning asking if he can come and fix my caR. I know what you are thinking: "Are you out of your f_ _ _ _ _ mind?", "Who do you think you are?". I didn't have the answers on that day. I didn't know why I did what I did and that is calling a guy I barely knew at 8:30 on Saturday morning and asked him to drag his butt out of his warm bed, got on the internet to research for the right plug for the Moroso oil pan, drove all over town to purchase the possibly right plugs and picked up engine oil, drove back to his shop to gather the tools and drove to meet me at Treasure Island, fixed my oil spill problem and didn't even charge me a cent.
