This hotel is fantastic! The foyer and tall ceilings are beautiful. It is perfectly situated on 8th and Howell. This hotel is really something Seattle needed to bring down the ridiculous cost of staying near the convention center. By coming in and adding another 1300+ rooms, the Hyatt is going to really change the hotel- pricing dynamics in this city. Its size and common spaces are really impressive. Rooms are well-appointed but pretty standard to this level of Hyatt all over the US. This hotel reminds me of the Hyatt adjacent to the Galleria in Houston. Self-parking is also pretty easy to navigate and fairly priced. However, if you are tipsy/buzzed or are driving an oversized truck or car, you may not want to self-park as the turns inside the lot are really sharp and hard to navigate without scraping the walls. There are only two semi-bad things about this hotel: 1)unless you have a suite, you will occupy a room with almost no drawers to put folded clothes: 2) and, the drinks at the bar are crazy expensive-i.e. $25.00 for a cosmopolitan using non- well Vodka. ps. after hours their self-parking garage has the entry gate down. Self- parking may look like it is closed for the night-its not. Instead, in order to even enter self -parking, you need to know either: -your own room number; - which guest (first and last names) you are coming to visit; - or whatever other reason you are looking to park in that garage. In order to even enter the garage and grab a ticket, you have to use the intercom to buzz front desk/security employee. Once you communicate on the intercom with a rational reason for your attempting to park inside the garage, the gate magically opens so that you can drive down, pull a ticket and park. I totally get why they do this given the homeless issue that has gotten out of control downtown. Still, it is something you might want to know if attempting to self-park in the garage at night. It probably would be helpful if they put a sign up explaining that the garage wasn't closed but that you needed to use the intercom system to enter. read more

The hotel is very modern and functional in appearance and the staff very friendly and helpful. Because I come here only for breakfast on occasion and an afternoon/evening bar visit I can't attest to the rooms. Overall it's a happening place with many different food and "entertainment" options. If I were to stay here it would be for the great views the upper floor rooms are supposed to have. The north side is to be avoided it seems because they have HVAC installations on the roof of their low rise section that make a terribly loud, high pitch noise that is clearly audible inside my office a block over. read more

I attended a conference on site here. I did not have a sleeping room. This review is for the food, service, and conference venue. Overall the food was delicious. Some things stood out- the skirt steak and horseradish mashed potatoes at lunch come immediately to mind. Service was always quick to clear plates. Refreshments during breaks were always being replenished. Buffet trays in constant filling mode. The rooms were always clean and set up. Several people commented on the compactness of the venue. It did not take long to get from ballroom to meeting room to sleeping room, etc. I did think the elevators took a little long sometimes if you were going down (not long for going up). read more

Asked for a room with a view of Lake Union, but received a room with a view of construction. Fortunately, they had availability to move me to a room with a better view. However, that was an additional charge of $40.00. The Lounge is good. I went for Happy Hour and the food was great, but very little portions. I tried the fried artichoke hearts, the steak strips, and the hamburger. All was very good. Moscow mule was great. Dessert wine was great. They automatically add the 20% tip. For room service it is a $5.00 fee + 20%. Room service menu is extremely limited- disappointing. When I got to my room there was a document that had been left by an employee. Unfortunately that document had a lot of guest names and room numbers. I understand that mistakes happen, but if that document had my name on it, I'd be very upset. Bathroom door falls open so you have to hold it shut while sitting on the toilet. They were very kind to call and apologize, but didn't offer anything on top of that. Just really expensive for no reason. For the price we could have stayed somewhere else with a bigger room but my boyfriend really likes Hyatt's and we are both members so we decided to give this place a go. Cons -small bedroom / bathroom. -parking is $40 a night!!!!!! -no valet -no water refill stations -they have construction or some type of window repair going on in the mornings from 9am-6pm -again for an expensive hotel they didn't have any great amenities like it's not like the shampoo/conditioner was anything nice or anything like that -at their breakfast bar i asked for one of the burritos but with no meat only for them to inform me it's all pre-made :/ and i ordered some fruit with a different sandwich and the pineapple in the fruit cup were rotten Pros -nice staff -clean -VERY comfy bed/nice TV i love hyatt but this place did not hit their normal standards for me. read more

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. I booked using their World of Hyatt app which was very easy to do. I was able to check in and give an estimated time of arrival which was a little before check in. The room was ready upon our arrival. Parking was included in our room rate so our car was mostly parked in the parking garage. Thankfully, the hotel is fairly centrally located to where we wanted to go so we mainly walked everywhere - Space Needle, Pike Market, Ferry, and surrounding areas. We had a king bed room on the 15th floor which was nice & clean. There's a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room as well. I loved the light feature that lit up as you walked by... especially helpful at night. I did go to the Market for coffee one morning and got a muffin... service was great. I also used their fitness center... you have to make a reservation & sign a waiver. The fitness center was well equipped - even had Peloton bikes. Very nice touch to also have bottled water available too. Overall, a great stay and would definitely stay here again - great, friendly service with clean rooms. I did miss the daily room cleaning (due to Covid, they don't right now) but was able to request towels using the app. read more

Love this place! I have never been in this particular hotel in Seattle since we are just visiting from Miami but we go every year in November to the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. This place did not disappoint and the one in Seattle people are very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I can say they could improve is the food in the Market place. There no options for kids other than a flat bread or a burger but I think they could offer hot dogs and chicken nuggets for the kids that would be a great options for the kiddos. Also the regency club or lounge does not offer any hot breakfast you can find cereal bars and coffee all day but it would be nice to find some variety. The hotel is clean, the room is modern and the views are great on 35th floor. Drawbacks for me, I got a corner room and one of the huge window doesn't have blackout curtains so the sunlight is peeking through at 5am! (It's summer time). Also, they share the parking lot with public parking and guests aren't guaranteed a spot if the parking lot is full. This is a nice hotel. Everything seems so new. We had a nice water view and it was so quiet. The room had 2 queen beds, refrigerator, safe, coffee maker and a HUGE TV. They didn't have a concierge, but the gal at the front desk, Joanna Wu (I think) was incredibly helpful. We were able to email her our Covid test results so she could print out for us. Fairly new hotel located right across from their sister hotel that I usually stay at (Hyatt's Olive 8). We had booked the corner room and it was very spacious and comfortable. I liked how big the TV was in comparison to other hotels. The location is about a 12 minute walk to the Pike Place Market and right by the Amazon HQ. The gym there was also very clean, no pool though. They do offer a discounted pass if you'd like to use the pool at Olive 8 across the street. The gym was a decent sized gym with 3-4 peloton bikes and every cardio equipment was already stocked with a clean towel. There's also a 24 hour market in the hotel and a couple of restaurants (Andare, Rickhouse whiskey bar and Daniels Broiler). The only negative aspect that I can think of is how casual the check in experience was, I was shocked that they didn't even ask for photo identification to verify that I was indeed the individual who had booked the room. Kind of concerning for a room that was already prepaid for. read more

Beautiful fairly new hotel. Check in was very smooth and the rooms were nice, fresh, and clean. I like their coffee selection in the room with regular coffee, decaf, creamer, sugar, etc. The mini fridge is great. There isn't much space for our clothes but wasn't a problem for me. The TV is awesome and it includes Google Chromecast so we were able to watch our Netflix show from the room!. Shower is great as well. We have a beautiful view from the window and I could be there for hours. You can text them and they will bring you fresh towels, cups, more toilet paper, water, etc. Location is an A+, it's very close to Pike Place, a local Starbucks, Space Needle, etc. Restaurant is awesome too. 10/10 would stay there again. read more

I just want to say they pretty much ruined my wedding last year. We were the first wedding they ever had and it sucked. The food sucked (completely different from tasting), the service sucked and they even refused to pack the guest's food Togo. I only encountered positive and helpful individuals at this location. I stayed on the 44th floor with a fabulous view of the city and Elliot Bay. The front desk, concierge and especially the valet/bellmen were all excellent. Staying here was a splurge but well worth it. The beds were comfortable, the shower/bathroom was spacious and, as I already said, the view was amazing. One very, very small criticism would be the lack of surfaces on which to place things and/or drawers to put items away. I stayed for 4 nights with someone and sharing 2 drawers was a little awkward. This might very well be the best hotel I have stayed in. It's so great that, it's been a whole week since I've returned home and all I do is keep wishing I was back in my hotel room. I'm sure I'm annoying everyone because I keep whining I wish I was back there. Lol. Anyways, everything was perfect, amazing, awesome...except the wanna be security guy who threatened to tow our car when we first arrived to check in. Granted the sign said 3 minute parking, and we were there for about 15 minutes, but 1. it was like close to midnight, so the place was completely empty, and 2. he just had a terrible attitude to begin with. kinda like those security guys who just take their jobs way too seriously at the mall. after he was done giving us a hard time, he proceeded to the lobby to do the same with an elderly couple who were enjoying (or at least trying to ) their drinks. They were NOT happy. He was very bothersome to us and to them. Mind you again, no one was there, there was no traffic, everyone was minding their own business, it was very quiet and empty. But I guess he just had too much time on his hands. His approach was not professional at all and he is not what the Hyatt brand should be represented as. It was quite embarrassing for him, really. Not a good look for the company at all. Other than that, everything was top notch. Looking forward to returning. Parking is expensive $45, I believe. But we walked everywhere instead. Pike Place is a short 5 block, 11 minute walk. Very enjoyable, central location. Great views from our room on the 32nd floor. Gorgeous workout facility. Refrigerated ginger infused moist face towels stored in a refrigerator for your use after workout. Apples in a bowl displayed beautifully for your consumption after workout. Also, recyclable earbuds if you forget yours for workout. Nice touch. read more

I did not stay here, but we were here for a company trip and the staff that I did meet were very nice to us. They gave us umbrellas to use as it was raining when we were there. We were meeting shuttle buses and they gave us plenty of time to get our stuff together and didn't seem to be bothered with the amount of people there were, which was a lot. Our friends got us their rewards breakfast on a floor up top and that was amazing. So much variety, plenty of space and you didn't feel rushed, they had special coffee machines and my little ran around like a maniac and they didn't make us feel bad, which was nice! I myself am a hyatt rewards customer, so it's nice to visit hyatts and have a great experience each time. read more

I debated for months on where to stay. I wanted a great location, affordable, clean & safe (don't we all?). I chose this hotel over the other Hyatt's because of the two nights one free offer. First impressions: clean, standard Hyatt hotel. Nothing spectacular, but nicer than most average hotels. The rooms are so nice and the view was enough to leave a great review. Location: 8 blocks from pike place market and roughly the same distance to the space needle. It was much closer than I thought it was going to be and walking through the city was lovely. Restaurants and cafes all close within walking distance. Common areas: in the lobby area there's plenty of seating to lounge and do work, but it's not somewhere I would want to spend my time, unless I had work to do. The lounge that has access to the outside area (8th floor, I believe) is only VIP access. This was a bummer to me. I only went off of pictures on here and assumed it was for all hotel guests. Luckily I had a great view from my room to enjoy. Restaurants: I believe there's two restaurants here. I didn't dine at any of them but was told by my Uber driver it's one of the best steakhouses in Seattle. Reviews seem to echo that statement. Great perk to have at any hotel. Rooms: brand new. Clean. Very comfortable beds. I liked the clothes storage situation. Everything was situated comfortably in the open closet and we had easy access to it. Vanity/ desk next to the window was a great perk. Fridge, coffee machine etc all convenient. I felt the layout of the room was very nice. The bathroom was a great size. Loved that full size shampoo, conditioner, and bath wash is provided. Those little bottles never cut it for me. Water got nice and hot. Only downfall is the water pressure. Very weak. The shower is a doorless shower and smaller, so it seems the lack of water pressure was probably intentional, so it doesn't create a slippery mess. Only problem is no door equals cold air coming in and lack of water pressure means a lot of spinning to keep warm. Other than that, the room is pretty close to perfect in my eyes. Views: To my surprise we got the top floor. I think I paid for a city view but I was not expecting the view I got. It was jaw dropping. Customer service: the people who checked us in/out were very kind and so was everyone else we had interaction with, which wasn't a lot, but how the staff makes you feel is important so we appreciated that. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The view from the room was one of the highlights of my trip. read more

The facility was very clean and easy to access to the main attractions. It was less then a 10 min walk to Pike Street Market- The customer service was prompt and friendly. They did offer a complementary upgrade which we declined because we had purchased a city view which was absolutely amazing! We purchased through Hotels.com which offered 1/2 off our luxury room, but once completed added hidden fees which defeated the actual savings. I suggest to purchase directly from the hotel of your choice, then a third party. But over all it was truly beautiful! read more

I've been staying at the dorm at UW for a week and my back has been killing me. Look, I'm not 18 anymore and I just can't do the cheap thin extra long twin mattress. Call me spoiled but all I wanted was one night of good sleep. I begged the bf to let us stay at a hotel over the weekend during his short visit. Yes, I was desperate. And I was overjoyed when we arrived at the Hyatt Regency. At first I thought we had stayed here before but I realized that we stayed at the nearby Grand Hyatt last summer and this Hyatt Regency has only been open since December 2018. This hotel turned out to be even nicer than the Grand Hyatt. We strategically arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were able to find lots of street parking within a block of the hotel where we could leave the car overnight for free. Check-in was quick and efficient and in no time, I was up in the room taking a hot shower. The bathroom is pretty fancy and came with a beautiful dimming mirror. I wish they would've had a robe available but I was ok with moving directly from the shower into the soft and warm sheets. We laid in bed watching Say Yes to the Dress marathon. I'm not sure if that was his idea of a fun weekend but I was in heaven. Looking out the window, we had an awesome view of Seattle downtown from our 34th floor room. The location is central and could not be better. We walked or drove to everywhere we wanted to go and were able to find parking again easily when we returned. In the morning, we were also able to ask for late check out until 1pm so I spent as much time as I could in that bed until I had to get up and head back to the reality of my dorm room. What a luxury it was to be at the Hyatt Regency for one night. Did I mention that I was able to use my Free Anniversary night certificate from my Hyatt card so the effective cost of this amazing stay was the $75 annual fee? read more

Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Olive are both 5 star hotels in my mind, but for different reasons. However, if you are lucky enough to book for a price that you can afford, I suggest you DO IT because you will not regret it. The Hyatt Regency has a beautiful lobby, wonderful food downstairs, and super cute rooms. The night stands have motion activated lights that throw a small amount of light on the floor as you move around, or hop out of bed. It's such a thoughtful touch. The rooms also have a safe and a fridge. The bathroom is similar to Hyatt Olive with the glass partition and an opening (without a door) so you just walk in & out of the shower. The 2-tone tiles are a nice touch. The hotel gym is HUGE with workout towels available everywhere. Just about the only negative I have is that the closet and closet organizer at Hyatt Olive is extremely functional compared Hyatt Regency. But at Hyatt Regency, I had a small sofa, which I really liked. You can't lose staying at either property. Just go enjoy, and thank me later. read more
