We stayed at Hyatt Regency Orange County during our midweek getaway to Disneyland from 1/7/26 to 1/9/26. I received some advice from a few friends who visit Disneyland on a frequent basis and we ended up choosing this hotel. With the both of us working and my LTP focusing on his second bachelor's degree, we haven't found the time to travel these past couple of months, and Disneyland was the perfect opportunity for us to take some time off from our respective jobs and school. This was the fourth Hyatt property I've stayed at; the first three being in Honolulu, HI, Long Beach, CA, and Denver, CO. Room stayed in: 1407, an executive king suite with a view of the lobby. We had booked a normal king room online but we got an upgrade for just $20 extra when we checked in. Pros: +Plenty of restaurant choices on hotel property if you don't feel like driving anywhere +Shuttle to Disneyland available on the :15 and the :45 every hour (no service between 10:45am-11:15am and 7:45pm-8:15pm, however) +Comfortable bed +Quick check in and check out +Starbucks downstairs (my closest coffee option) +Great shower pressure +Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available (although I bought my own from home lol) +Vanity kit available +Free Wi-Fi +Streaming services available through your phone, laptop, or tablet +Beautiful lobby Cons: -Self parking and valet rates are expensive It was a little on the pricey side; then again, it's near Disneyland. But I loved the Hyatt and we had a great stay.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel for your Disneyland trip with good amenities, this is your place! We visited this hotel over Thanksgiving for my mom's 70th birthday. Despite being busy, the hotel staff and accommodations were delightful and really made this a special experience. Hyatt Regency Orange County really impresses upon entry, with a stunning atrium. I was a bit nervous about the room since I had heard that half of the hotel is not yet renovated. This was a non-issue, as our room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also amazing. Providing fresh squeezed Orange juice every morning and stocking unlimited smoked salmon in their buffet were just a couple of things that led this breakfast to far exceed our expectations. Particularly in the Disneyland area, where many hotels charge outrageous prices and have below standard amenities, this place is a breath of fresh air. Highly highly recommend.

This location is perfect if you're planning a day at Disneyland. They offer shuttle service to and from Disneyland for $12. The hotel had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and pleasant to deal with. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants, but they do offer a breakfast buffet at the lobby restaurant. The bar & grill is open until midnight if you're looking for a drink and bar food , appetizers, burgers, sandwiches etc. They also have an ice cream shop, deli, arcade, gift shop and Starbucks. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. hotel common areas were all well maintained, and the cleaning crew does their job well. Outside was a nice size pool , jacuzzi, pickleball courts, basketball court, fire pit and a gym. They also have movie night at 8pm at the pool with free popcorn. Thought that was a nice touch for hotel guests. Definitely I will pick this location for a future trip.

This was hands down one of our favorite Hyatt's to stay at. The lobby inside is designed just beautifully making it look like you are looking at the outside of hotel building inside. Lobby was spacious and had lots of different seating areas to rest, wait, or hangout. There is a large free parking lot and is about 5 minute drive to Disneyland. Hyatt also provides a cheap $7 shuttle service to and from Disneyland per day. What a steal. The staff were all helpful and always looked to be available at all hours that I could tell. The outside valet parking area has one of the best designed road/street. I forgot to take a picture of it from our room. Great size room and loved that includes a bath tub, great to have to bathe our 15 month old. They offer Pharmacopia products for shower and shampoo, conditioner- my favorite brand. We vacation in LA and couple times a year and we think this will be our go to spot from now on in this area, especially when going to Disneyland.

First of all, staff are very responsive when you text. I reached out prior to my arrival and got helped. I checked in late at night after visiting Disneyland. This hotel is not a far drive from Disneyland. The parking lot is secured with a gate which is good because the area around it is sketchy. The hotel lobby is inviting and welcoming. The staff however aren't as welcoming. I received an upgrade before I arrived to a kids suite. The room was perfect with a full bunk on the bottom and a twin on top. The room itself looks outdated. It didn't bother me. It has many glass windows and being on the top floor the view was great except the windows need to be washed. The pool area and tennis courts look run down. It really needs an overhaul. The hotel is showing it's age.

we stayed here for my birthday weekend, and Martin at the front desk, made our stay so enjoyable, even gave us some recommendations! we will definitely be coming back!

Furthest Hyatt if the Disney Hyatt's but also the cleanest, resort grade location of the Hyatts. They have a shuttle to Disneyland. Very clean, very nice hotel with tall ceilings in the lobby so you feel fancy. They're all decked out for Christmas right now. There are two pools on different sides of the hotel. If you're looking for the hot tub. It's at the side of the hotel where the Starbucks is located.

Let me start by saying we usually enjoy the Hyatt Regency... but this time? This time felt like the hotel woke up and chose violence. Everything started normal: valet the car (valet team still carrying the whole hotel on their backs like Olympic champions), check into the room, blah blah. Then we walk into the bathroom and surprise! The sink is literally detaching from the wall like it's trying to escape the premises. Rust everywhere. I'm shocked they didn't leave a waiver saying, "Use at your own risk. Tetanus boosters recommended." Whatever. Busy weekend. Next morning, the elevator decides it's on strike and simply refuses to stop at the 14th floor. We're stuck with everyone else waiting like we're trying to catch the attention of a cat who clearly sees us and just doesn't care. After 20 minutes, we give up and press the UP button just to hitchhike a ride to literally anywhere that isn't the 14th floor. We go to reception to change rooms and we get the classic "Oh, we've heard nothing about that," while the valet is right behind us like, "We've heard it all morning." (Shout-out again to valet the only people at this Hyatt who seem to actually exist in the real world.) We're told the other tower is suites only and more expensive fine, whatever, take my money BUT we can move later that night because all our stuff is out and we want to pack it ourselves. "No problem," they say. Plot twist: at lunch, I get a message saying they're moving our stuff right now. Amazing. Incredible. Stunning. The speed at which this hotel can do the one thing we asked them NOT to do is breathtaking. So I call and get told by a sassy, condescending guy named a**hole, I mean Justinthat actually they can't move our stuff and we need to come back immediately because they need the room. So basically: They weren't going to move our stuff, but they were going to move our stuff, but actually they weren't, and now we have to drop our entire day and drive 30 minutes back because someone couldn't keep a single brain cell focused long enough to keep the story straight. At this point all I wanted was a "Hey, sorry we messed up," but instead I got customer service energy equivalent to being told "Sucks to be you." Moral of the story: unless you're staying in the suite tower, prepare for a haunted-house elevator, a bathroom that looks like it's auditioning for a tetanus documentary, and communication so bad it should be studied by scientists. Second star for the valets. Everyone else gets 1 because I can't put 0.

Good hotel near Disneyland. Shuttle is $7 for the day and loops around every 30 minutes. Rooms are a bit dated and the carpet looks old. Otherwise still a solid venue with tons of food options and a good gym. Room is big and spacious. Staff are fun and professional. Decent sized pool.

Check in was at 4 pm so I stayed in my son's room til then and went down to the front desk and there was no line and I was offered a free upgrade to a king suite in the North Tower! That was great news as we were in the same tower as our son and his family. The suite was spacious with plenty of closet and drawer space, a living room with small sofa, bottled water at $4 a piece, bath/shower combo, towel rack, microwave and refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, ironing board and iron, extra blankets, safe, everything you need. We didn't use the bottled water as we brought empty water bottles to fill at the hotel water dispensing machines located neR the ice maker on each floor and in the lobby near the North Tower. The fitness center had towels, earphones, sanitary wipes, machines, free weights, balls, stability and bosu ball so I felt at home. All in all a comfortable stay in the hotel as the staff is friendly.

What a cute Little hotel in the middle of OC Garden grove. Close to Disneyland and the convention center, it's clean and pet friendly! Service is excellent as they staff well and people are friendly. Would consider staying here if I was ever an out of towner and rates seem to be reasonable.

I always stay at this particular Hyatt and it's been wonderful. I don't know what's going on with this place these days as it's gone down hill in the past 6 months. It's still a beautiful hotel the rooms are still great but the shower was a nightmare...the shower head barely worked which made it seem like the water pressure was non existent. Then to boot their towels were beyond acceptable, they were literally torn, tattered, and had holes. You can see in the photos how bad their towels are. I'm not sure I'd stay here again as it seems like they don't have a clue as to how to run this place anymore. Literally no attention to details. Very disappointed, there are too many hotels in this area to choose from. Hope they get it together.

12/21-12/24/2024 Disney theme park goers rejoice, because this is perhaps one of the best full service hotels to stay at when visiting the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. I myself stayed 3 nights here to experience the festive Christmas season at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Booking: there's no rule as to where one should ultimately reserve; if you prefer Expedia, any other 3rd party, or directly with Hyatt.com - it is entirely up to you. As a hotel loyalist, I booked direct with Hyatt so that I can earn the most benefits. As this is a category 4 property, points redemption will vary by season but can range between 15K-21K for a standard room and can go as high as 30K. Cash rate will start at around $200 before taxes. Proximity: the Disneyland Resort is roughly 10-15 minutes away by car, and those brave enough to venture by foot (20-30 minutes). Thankfully, for $6 a day with unlimited rides, this property offers a shuttle (starting 45 minutes before park opening hours and running up until 1AM). Neither did my party and I have to worry about time or where to catch an Uber back to the hotel. Reception: my checkin experience was pretty spot on - the agent acknowledged my World of Hyatt status by providing a 2pm checkout on the departure date and automatically assigned connecting rooms for my reservations even though I had not requested it. Every detail of the hotel was explained during my checkin experience and I very much appreciated the agents patience as well. The room: I was provided rooms in the south tower, which includes its own pool level - the north tower also has its own pool. While I did not photograph the accommodations, the room felt fairly spacious, newly renovated with hardwood floors and connecting doors. Having both rooms open up to each other made the space feel like a suite. The only negative of the room was that the fridge was placed on the floor and not in the media console, but that it didn't hinder the stay experience. There was plenty of power outlets and bedside USB plugs along with a well sized smart television. We received daily housekeeping, which was greatly appreciated to return to a refreshed room. The outlets: we did have breakfast buffet on our last morning at Tosca, and though simple, everything was well prepared and delicious. My favorite part was the omelette station, and they were prepared to perfection. Service was overall attentive with a friendly waitress. There is also a bar, bubble tea spot, and a sundry shop. Starbucks is technically not part of the hotel outlets, but it's nice to have one directly in the hotel lobby. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the Disneyland Resort.

Hyatt Regency Orange County Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hyatt Regency Orange County

Do they have laundry facility on site?

No, but there is a laundromat less than a mile away heading east on Chapman. They can do laundry via third party but you will have to pay a premium price.

Free breakfast buffet? If so, what time is it open? Thanks

Easy way to remember, Hyatt House and Hyatt Place have free breakfast, any Regency and Grand Hyatts are not free.

Do you have actual cribs? Not pack and plays.

Yes. You can specify that you want a crib, not a pack and play.

Can you take the Art shuttle from this hotel to Disneyland?

They have a deaignated shuttle bus that goes directly from the hotel to Disneyland. You just need to purchase tickets at the kiosk near the north tower elevators.

How long is the shuttle ride to Disneyland? And how many stops did it have to make? Looking for convenience and quick trip to the park.

No stops and takes no more than 10 minutes depending on traffic. Great location!

Is there a microwave in the rooms?

There are microwaves in the suite rooms.

Do I pay for parking every time I enter/leave parking lot?

Just pay for the whole day and u can still enter and leave freely

Is there coin-op laundry inside this hotel or very nearby? Thank you!

No coin-op or self laundry in the hotel but they offer laundry services.

    Do they have Tesla chargers?

I'm honestly not sure! Maybe they did upgrade it though

Are you able to bring outside guests/family into the pool?

    Yes

Can you cut theu the grand californian to make the walk to disneyland shorter?

    You can - yes.

How much is their deposit per day?

$50 incidentals per night. It will be returned during check-out.

What time does the hotel bar close? What time does the pool close? Thanks!

The bar closes at 12am every night, last call is at 11:45pm. Both pools close at 10pm. Also, the gym is open 24/7.

How much a parking ? Is parking removed from your daily deposit or is it separate?

Parking is removed from your daily deposits, yes.

How much is it for breakfast buffet? And what time is check in? I've tried looking the answer in the website but I had no luck what so ever!

The Breakfast Buffet is now $35 per person.

Is there fridges in every room?

You can call down to the Front Desk and Housekeeping will provide you with a fridge, upon availability. (I work there)

Is the in room coffeemaker a Keurig type or a standard drip type?

My room had the Keurig type from what I recall.

Is the free shuttle actually free or do you need to pay a fee? Thanks!

No the shuttle is not free. For two kids and two adults for 3 days it was $54 so very reasonable.

How quiet/loud is this hotel? Can you hear the Disneyland fireworks? Is it pretty quiet at night or can you hear doors closing and people talking? I'm a light sleeper and get woken up easily :(

I never heard fireworks but you can hear people next door. There was an AAU basketball tournament and we had teenage kids staying next to us. They didn't make a lot of noise but you could certainly hear them. Luckily they went to sleep before… Read more

On the down side, being less than 500 ft from the freeway entrance is a pain. The entrance/exit out of the parking lot to Harbor Blvd is often blocked by all the traffic in the right lane trying to get onto Hwy 22. Some drivers are courteous to let you turn into the lane, but good luck if there's a string of tractor-trailers and traffic on the highway is backed up for miles. Her tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily harsh from the start. Instead of welcoming guests, she lectured them about hotel rules in a condescending way that felt completely out of line. The situation escalated when she said, "If you want to stay, you stay, or you can leave if you want to cancel." No paying customer with a confirmed reservation should ever be spoken to like that. What made this even worse was the way she singled out and spoke to my brother's family--it felt targeted and uncomfortable, and honestly came across as discriminatory behavior. Whether intentional or not, that is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting. Because of how they were treated, my brother chose to cancel the reservation immediately. No one should have to tolerate that kind of attitude just to check into a hotel. Management seriously needs to address this. Staff behavior like this doesn't just ruin a stay--it drives customers away and raises serious concerns about how guests are treated.

Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Overall, once you factor in free parking, breakfast, and the shuttle, it's actually a great value for Disneyland. Clean, easy, and family-friendly. I would come back.

There was no extra electrical outlet by the bed for people using an inhaler machine. The entire room needs to be remodeled. They said they were fully booked and this was it and that this is the room we had on or reservations on their system. (Yeah right. They still tried to charge us for the larger room btw.) We had to be somewhere asap so we left, came back and tried to talk to the man at the front desk again... Same song and dance. We were about to give up when we noticed the broken bed as soon as we sat on it. Then we looked underneath and saw the dried blood stains. . . . Yeah, we got out of there the very next minute. Because of the B's this place put us through we couldn't get another room that night and had to head home. 0/5 Stars stay away!

We thought this place would be awesome since it had good reviews. It was a late night and we didn't want to drive for the night because we were super tired. Came there and the guy at check in was super nice. Woke up in the middle of the night itching and it felt like I was getting bitten by something. I woke up to a few welts on my legs to find that I had been bitten by bed bugs. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night not even checking out. Couldn't another place so slept in the car in a nicer neighborhood. Thankfully I didn't go home with anything from there. Didn't ask for a refund or anything because it wasn't worth doing. Just wanted to leave. This review has been in my drafts for awhile. So it could be different now and hopefully this issue has been resolved. Would I stay here again? I don't think so. Definitely use caution and check your room prior to staying!

On my most recent stay, I was placed in a handicap accessible room that I did not request when booking. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what I expected. During the stay before that, on my last day, I stopped at the pool bar to relax and have a few drinks. The entire time, the bartenders and wait staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other. It made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. On the stay prior to that, I had a very negative interaction with a manager, which I reported in a letter. The response from the hotel was lukewarm and didn't leave a good impression. I felt I was treated poorly, especially for a property at this level, and the small number of points offered felt more dismissive than helpful. On top of that, tours were repeatedly brought through the gym while my guests and I were trying to work out. I understand the space may be open, but having multiple groups walk through filming on their phones, combined with the manager's reaction and comments, was frustrating and honestly left a lasting negative impression. I will say the front desk staff are excellent and the housekeeping team is outstanding. Unfortunately, the issues with other areas overshadow the great work they do. And, honestly, for a place so close to a theme park, I was kind of expecting to be ripped off. Shockingly, I wasn't! The check-in was super easy and the guy at the front was really nice. Unfortunately, I've been getting used to abrasive front-desk people, so it was great to have someone pleasant. The room was a little tricky to find, but once we got in, we were very impressed with how wonderfully clean everything was. Having stayed at so many hotels for family trips, work trips, and just to get away, I will say that the cleanliness of this hotel is above average. Even the elevator smelled nice. We got the one-bedroom with 2 queens room. These beds were very comfortable, almost like home. The sheets were hotel sheets, so fine I guess. I got a pretty decent night of sleep. The living room pull-out sofa was actually kind of comfortable too. In the morning, we went to the huge breakfast area that actually featured some really great stuff. Having a food allergy, I'm used to being disappointed at free breakfasts. Sunday, I was spoiled for choice. Monday morning before we checked out, a little less so. Finally, the highlights and let-downs: the biggest highlight for us was our room location. On the 4th floor, facing Disneyland, we got a free fireworks show from bed both nights. It made the whole experience much nicer for me. However, the let-down was that the builders cut corners and the walls are very thin. On Sunday morning, I could hear every single door opening and closing, every heavy-footed person walking, every time the elevator came. It happened overnight as well, but I always bring ear plugs to hotels. Overall, it was great - just wish the walls had more insulation.

When I told the supervisor about the dirty bedsheets that I need help changing them, she rudely brushed me off "that's fine that's fine" without any acknowledgement nor apology. The same housekeeper who had a bad attitude with my sheets changing request, brought up the shower gel and expected me to change it myself again while she's... eating chips. Please get better housekeepers than this before your housekeeping completely ruins the Hilton name! I give 0 stars for this housekeeper. Other than that, the room is spacious and in good location close to Disneyland with many restaurants. Pictures after I already brushed off a lot of these black dirt on the sheets and cover.
