I generally enjoy staying at the Hyatt. This one was just fine. The building was old but the rooms felt somewhat renovated inside. The room was actually a nice size and didn't feel too cramped at all. I had room to put my things around without bumping into things. I would have loved an updated shower, but it was a standard, older one with a tub. The water pressure wasn't amazing but it worked. There was a mini fridge in the room, which was clean. I specifically booked this hotel because I thought it had an indoor hot tub. Not many in the area do and the majority of those are suite-like hotels, which I didn't want to stay at for fear of children. There is NOT a hot tub here. I was pretty disappointed by this, but it's kind of my fault. They have a pool and steps to what I thought was a hot tub, but it wasn't. It's not listed on their website. I guess I just assumed and hoped. The pool area was clean and quiet. It would have been a perfect place to relax in a hot tub. Valet parking is $39/day but you can get in and out privileges. There is no room service, but they have a 24 hour market, which I believed served pizza. I was missing the strong fragrance that usually permeates the air at other Hyatt's. The front desk attendees and parking people were nice.

Happy hour cocktails and food menu is fantastic. The quality of drinks and food as well as the prices...can't be beaten. Try the smoked wings or meatballs. The burger is delicious as well - Kobe beef with the perfect meat to bun ratio. Finally, the staff is top notch:

I enjoyed my trip to Cincinnati by way of the Hyatt Regency. The staff was friendly, the lobby and rooms were relatively clean, and the location was great. I called ahead and because I was landing very early in the day on a red eye and they said they would be able to accommodate an early check in. Upon arrival, the woman at the desk said she didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't help. She told us to wait for the morning shift to arrive which just meant another hour in the lobby. Once the front desk was fully staffed, they helped us to our room immediately and waived the early check in fee for the inconvenience. Our room with a king bed on the 22nd floor wasn't particularly spacious, but it was cozy. The view was worth the long elevator ride! The biggest downside was the bathroom. Not only was it incredibly cramped, but there was no vent so it quickly became muggy. The faucet was also misaligned with the sink which made water go everywhere. Towels, toiletries, and sheets were pretty crappy but I guess that's par for the course in hotels nowadays. The room was also incredibly dark, especially on a cloudy day when most of the light comes from the window. All in all, it got the job done and we were able to walk to many great spots in Cincinnati.

    Great spot to work!

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the weekend and overall had a nice time. I was there for a conference being held at the hotel. The hotel itself is huge. It's also noticeably clean, which was great. There is a beautiful lobby on the first floor with a "functional art" display of white books and large bookshelves. It's a great place to get some work done. There is also a small game room. The lobby is spacious and filled with comfy furniture. There is also a little shop/coffee shop that is open 24/7. It's apparently the only coffee shop downtown that is open 24/7. The prices are wild, but there is a good amount of demand, especially with event guests needing snacks and drinks during long days. Our room was spacious with great views of downtown. It was a 10/10 for cleanliness. Sadly, it wasn't a great room for sleep. I had a pretty hard time getting any due to the quality of the sheets and pillows and the temperature in the room. The sheets felt like a paper bag and the pillows deflated and stayed pancake flat all night. The lowest temperature you could set the room to was 65F. However, event when set at that, it never read less than 67F. Since that was on the other side of the room from the bed, where we were sleeping was even warmer. I appreciated the complimentary toothpaste and cotton swabs, as I forgot mine. The shower is a rainfall style (not my fave), but the water pressure was adequate. For the event I volunteered for, the ballroom was the perfect size for our ~762 guests. It is absolutely frigid though, so bring a jacket (or two) if you plan to host/attend an event here. The elevators get pretty backed up (and require key cards) during event breaks, but they clear after ~15 minutes. I do want to give a shoutout to the cleaning staff. They worked their tails off all weekend and were so accommodating and all smiles! For parking, there is valet available, or you can park at a nearby garage. Be warned though that the one directly across the street charges $62 for a weekend stay. Overall, I would stay here and host an event here again!

I stayed here one night on a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. I arrived after sunset and used the valet because with ongoing street construction I couldn't easily see nearby parking and I was tired. The valet was a little uncertain about my intentions but once they realized I intended on parking and staying they gave me a ticket and took my rental. Entering I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk who quickly checked me in. I was informed it was a slow week due to the upcoming holiday and gave me a run of what was happening in the area. My room was on the 17th floor. The view was of a large garage and it mostly was dark with distant bridge lights. The room was fine. Yes, it is a bit dated having a worn feel and the room was dimly lit even with the side lamps. The room was a little oddly shaped but they made good use of the space putting a closet that had an early 2000's feel in the corner. The thick curtains managed to keep the room dark and since there appeared to be so few people on the floor I never heard anyone. I checked out the next morning and called ahead at the valet for my car. By the time I was downstairs the car was ready. Everyone was very friendly. It was a quick trip but also a nice one.

Traveling for work isn't always easy but this hotel makes it a little better. Clean room with large bathroom, great lighting and hot water! A/c works really well. (A must) There is a great little store in the lobby that sells ready made sandwiches and salads along with beverages that also makes a microwave available for use. It's open 24 hours so it's very convenient Staff is really helpful and front desk answers phone very quickly Amenities include fitness room, outdoor areas and restaurant. The room also has a safe and fridge Surrounding area feels safe and you can walk to great restaurants and the baseball stadium within minutes

I stayed here for a few days about a month ago and had a pleasant experience. This Hyatt is located right downtown, about a block away from fountain square, a brisk walk away from the baseball park and the art center. Needless to say, it's prime time. I loved that it was close enough to restaurants that I was able to grab dinner nearby. The hotel lobby was nice and included a small market with food and drink items for purchase, a full on restaurant, and the concierge. They also had valet right out front, although the service there wasn't the greatest. I called down several times both mornings and no one would answer. When I got to the lobby I was told they weren't sitting outside answering the phone because it was cold out. I get that it was cold but they should have a solution to this in the winter... something other than just not answering.. Maybe try the text service I've seen at a lot of other hotels. Anyhoo, my room itself was a little outdated but it was nice. I noticed a few things like baseboards peeling from the wall and phone and television wires were visible everywhere. That being said, the bed was comfy and the view wasn't too bad either. If I was needing a room in this area of Cincinnati I would consider staying again.

Flew into Cincy for a concert in northern Kentucky. Chose this hotel because I got points through my AMEX card. Booked in August for a stay in late November. Once we arrived, we were told the two queen beds room we booked was not available. They only had one king or queen bed available. After a lot of frustrated questions about this, we were offered vouchers to comp our breakfast. On weekdays breakfast ends at 10 and 24/7 marketplace only has breakfast sandwiches available on the weekends. The fresh fruit water in the lobby is refreshing, but wish they had bigger cups available. Room service is not an option at this hotel. Blankets were thin and no other ones were in the closet. Again, it's mid-November and pretty cold out. Would not stay here again. Not worth the points.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very hospitable. Much of the hotel has been remodeled and is modern. Rooms are okay but bathroom was updated and very nice. The Cincinnati connector and the bus line are easy to get to. Ride to Findlay market and over the Rhine is 5 to 10 minutes. Will stay here again.

I spent about $20 on an appetizer at the in house restaurant that was not even edible. I did not complain and decided to run by the in house "market" to get a muffuletta, a bag of chips a Pepsi which cost me another $30. The sandwich had plastic around the cold cuts that I had to peel off. The hotel itself isn't horrible but definitely nothing special. The room itself is very small and has and exposed air conditioning system. I'd never choose it for a second stay and I'm kind of wishing I would have made my way home. Should have checked reviews first

Ok, I do a lotta bullet points in my emails for work and that maybe annoying for some and helpful to others. I hope this format makes it easier for all who plan to stay here for a Bengals or Reds game, for example. The Positives, and there are many!! - nice corner room on the 17th floor - nice views of the buildings - safe (did not use) and fridge - friendly staff (5 stars) - parking lot (in a brand new building) across the street was convenient - the coffee shop (Market Cincinnati) below is superb. Great Starbucks caramel macchiatos and sandwiches - gym is big and airy - a runner's delight - excellent water pressure, the water got hot quickly Negatives, booo!!, what?? Yes, drumroll please... - the walls are paper thin and the people next to us seemed to be angry with people on the phone or with each other, every single day (no exaggeration) - they also used racial slurs a lot - even if you are of the same race, that's still not cool - the next night, they were at it again, going to bed mad is not good for nobody - finally, no microwave - means no late night hot snacks Aside from the next door neighbors, it was an excellent stay!!

Ask the Community - Hyatt Regency Cincinnati

How safe is it to walk to and from this hotel to the Cincinnati Arts Center at night? Should we take an uber/taxi? I would rather walk if we have no chance of wondering into a sketchy part of the city.

It's very safe. We walked to dinner then to a lounge nearby. I ubered once because it was raining.

How far walk is it to the Great American ball park? Is the surrounding area safe at night to walk back from the baseball game?

About a 5 minute walk. Two blocks down and about two blocks over.

I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson.
