The "clean" coffee cup in our room.
    Clint P.

Absolutely horrible. Loud night club across the street. No parking. Checked into a dirty room. Urine on the toilet, dirty coffee mug, and no working lights in the bathroom. No one on staff to do anything. Hotel just says "sorry"! Posting a few pics. I'll spare everyone the pic of the urine on the toilet and hair in the shower.... On the phone with corporate now. AVOID!

1 of the best hotels I've stayed at domestic or international. I mean truly dedicated staff that goes the extra mile to make sure their patrons are satisfied with their stay. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was my wife's birthday weekend so we decided to travel to Austin to get out since we haven't traveled much since Austin. We called ahead since we'd had some concerns about having a crib in our room for our lil one and when we got there it was already I the room. We didn't even have to remind them on the check in. Every area in the room was perfect due to the magnificent layout. The room was a beautiful one bedroom suite with everything you could need. The A/C was nice and powerful. When we wanted it to be warmer it was very responsive and we could feel the difference within moments. At night we would set it really cold and it would send us to sleep perfectly in our nice king size bed. The beds were so comfortable. The bathroom had his and her sinks with a very big mirror that came in handy when we were getting dressed. The see through standing show was a magnificent addition to the bathroom. It was spacious and the shower pumped water out so good I thought it was a spa shower. It massages me as I stood there in perfect peace. The living room area provided us with a beautiful set up that road into the kitchen. A tv was set up there and in the kitchen. Also a tv was in the bedroom. All three TV had cable that even offered Disney Junior for the kids. It even included the capability to connect your mobile devices wirelessly through an app and cast it to the TV via Netflix, Hulu Or etc. this was simply outstanding as we've been to many hotels which lacked this ability. The rooms were equipped with unique paintings that were simple but elegant and showed class. The kitchen had a microwave, fridge and many storage cabinets. Lots of natural light from the big windows in that were about ceiling to floor height. They had nice double shades that provided varying levels of shield from outside. And endless counter top space. A kitchen table that the family can eat at in the morning if you wanted to order breakfast. The staff were so polite and greeted us with a smile. They carefully explained the safety procedures that were implemented due to Covid to ensure our safety. Discussed the complimentary breakfast included with our stay and went to great lengths to make my wife's birthday special. The manager Jennifer Clark saw me walking in the hotel getting some ice to head back to my room and asked me how was my stay, I replied to her, "it was ok." She was not satisfied with that. She asked me what could make it better? I said it's my wife's birthday and making it more special would be awesome. I didn't even have to say anymore. Later on that day we heard the door knock. My wife answered it and it was a special gift from the hotel that brought an ear-to-ear smile to my wife's face. Instantly, It was a priceless moment. I cannot state all the reasons why this hotel is amazing but hopefully, from the things mentioned one can get a picture of why this hotel and its staff are amazing. This was honestly the nicest and cleanest Hyatt Place I've ever stayed in. My family and I enjoyed our stay over my birthday weekend. I had requested a crib with my reservation and after check in, I was pleased to find that it was already waiting up in our one bedroom suite. The suite was very spacious, definitely a great value for the price. We were able to cast Netflix and Hulu to all of the TVs so we set our daughter up with her shows on one tv while we caught up on some NBA games on another. The king bed was really comfy and the bathroom was nice and big, more than enough space for us to all get ready together. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. They thoroughly explained the new process for housekeeping to minimize contact due to COVID-19 as well as the grab and go option for breakfast. So anyone who complained about those two things clearly wasn't listening during check-in. On the afternoon of my birthday the manager on duty Jennifer stopped by our room with a gift and expressed warm birthday wishes. It was such a pleasant surprise and really thoughtful of her to go the extra mile to make my day even more special! I would most definitely return here to stay when I visit the Austin area again.

Enjoyed the larger accessible room tonight since the availabilities were wide open, which is spacious and offers the small kitchenette and nearly full size fridge - very adequate for longer stays. Two additional stars if the elevators were not right at the exit of the hotel and before the hotel check-in desk. Also a couple of the parking lights were out. Both pose security issues for me and when traveling, that's one of my top priorities. Complimentary breakfast is always a nice feature, this one offers more like an express version than that of their sister hotels. One night stay was just right for us!

We had to ask the front desk for new towels. We stayed for 6 nights. -breakfast was such a disappointment -the light in our bathroom kept going out -the signage upon arrival the first time is very difficult to tell what it is. My wife did the booking as I was at work, and thought she booked another place but it was fine. The front desk person when we checked in was friendly and they give you a card for several items at no extra cost from the store area. We took advantage of that as it was very nice. The room was comfy and a good size, we were only there one night not sure how cleaning works or service of new towels and replacements. They had a kitchen and bar that opened at 5 pm as as we came right after work we had not eaten so we went there first. The lady running the bar and taking the orders was by herself and was very good and friendly but leaving her alone seemed kind of bad on the part of the company. We got the happy hour old fashioned which was a good price but not very good. We tried it, we are always looking for different old fashions and some are great and others a miss. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Shana got dumplings and a salad. It didn't take to long though there were more people ordering by this time and it sounds like just one guy cooking. We slept well, the room was fine, the shower takes a while to heat up. SHANA SAYS: Good Service, very clean and well appointed but weird old carpet. Now Breakfast: We had breakfast the next day. They had a "buffet" for $13 dollars. This was awful, no one took it, and it was just sad. It had some fruit, juices in open carafes on the counter, some cereal, coffee, and oatmeal. 50% of it is butter, syrup, honey, etc. There is nothing there, it is insane. You can order breakfast and again one server and no one took the buffet. I had eggs, bacon and sausage. The bacon was crunchy and good, sausage was solid. The eggs were ok. Shana had French Toast and mostly enjoyed it, good for hotel French Toast. Our server here was good but strangely nervous and when I got my Dr. Pepper he wanted to know if it was alright as sometimes it is flat which seems to be a well known problem they don't fix. Shana used the gym, said it was good for a smaller hotel, had lots of different equipment but the treadmill was wobbly. It was fine for what we needed it for and was close to home. Given that it was close and for an emergency not sure would we stay here again unless a similar issue happened. It is not bad but the promised breakfast buffet really soured it.

sketch #1 why does Markham at Lakeline have any relation to this hotel... Why is the leasing office…read morehaving people meet up in hotel rooms to sign contracts... contracts that have nothing to do with leasing an apartment itself.... why does this hotel have any affiliation with Markham at Lakeline? this is a huge privacy concern.. besides all of that- the hotel is beautiful and accommodating, the staff is marvelous. so kind!!!! one of the best hotels i've stayed in in a while, not going to lie. mold is not an issue here- this hotels serves extra water bottles for free too. everyone needs water by nature. usually this is only handed out if you're a hilton honors member of a certain level or if the hotel is conscious of their mold issues- which has happened all across the country before- there's only so much the staff can do for you.. been there before.. not an issue here tho. the water is clean from the tap to shower/brush teeth etc, safe to inhabit. unlike the la quinta down the street.. it's in the air.. it's served in the lobby on select days.. creepy.. always the same staff member.. and you think to bring your own cup or something instead of use the cups supplied.. yikes! drank mold there and got really sick.... straight from the jug for everyone who walks in. i take medications... i need fresh drinking water available all day.... so if you're in the area- health wise- the hilton garden at Cedar Park is gucci. you're not going to get sick from mold here. but there is sketchy behavior choreographed and planned out that is associated with to this hotel in regard to the apartment complex less than a mile away to drop off paper work- you're given enough information to find a room number to show up to.. after theresa the leasing manager tells you you have to show up to drop off the final contract... the contract has nothing to do with housing or real estate... not okay... i wish i told him not to show up to that hotel room... i know the hotel doesn't check into why you're booking a room.. but this is a big deal... not okay.. I hate that this has happened.. i feel as though my ex and i broke up due to these contracts... it had more to do with THIS than what we actually broke up over. this is a much tougher conversation to have.. resulting in chaos... the contract is real.. whether he signed or not.. we both eventually were involved... i can tell.. i felt like i had no choice but to show up type thing.. and he was just looking into somewhere to live which is what ended up happening to me.. i felt like i had no other option than markham after this.. the internet was acting out and i had no choice.. im not sure if anyone else has been through something similar.. but this is upsetting.. i believe this has more to do with it than anything else. i thought to live in markham for years.. it was irony my highschool sweetheart texted me and wanted to date again.. but i knew there was something off about those contracts after my ex, now, had to show up to that hotel room. our relationship ended shortly after... and we're both emotional people i know contracts make people swing if they're not filled out correctly.... Markham set him and I up with that contract alone... i felt like i had no choice but to move there all of a sudden... i needed to move out anyway.. and to austin, my doctors told me of neurology treatments offered in the midwest, there's so much austin has to offer in regards to neurology unlike where i came from.. it was all irony.. but yea.. our relationship failed and i believe it has more to do with this sketchy behavior than anything else! contracts have pull depending on what you did or didn't sign.. this is so sketchy and upsetting... we're not close at all anymore.. not fair.. thanks america?? or just fucking fucked up markham at lakeline? sketch #2 there is also loitering and you have to pay to park here for safety reasons.. so what the heck.. always having trouble around the hotel when this green jeep sits in the parking lot everyday whether it be a few hours or all day long. GET DUCKED... there's something off since the contracts were not signed and filled out... i've been having trouble with housing myself while my ex is living the life... that neighbor hood created a wedge between my boyfriend at the time and i believe it started with these contracts.. sketchy!

However, I was not recognized as an elite member. I also didn't have a greeting on my TV when I walked through the door, and I didn't receive any texts from the staff welcoming me. I guess the other aloft hotels went above and beyond, and I received basic service here in North Austin. The room wasn't the cleanest. It wasn't filthy, but you can tell it didn't receive a thorough clean. There was hair in the shower, a red looking piece of something questionable on the door, something questionable that was brown on the bathroom floor close to the wall. I had slippers on and/or wore shower shoes the entire time. I didn't request to change rooms because I didn't want to end up with something worse than I had. I just sprayed the entire space with lysol. There was also an incident with the guest in the room next to mine, they left their dog in the room alone and it was crying, howling, and barking on and off for an extended period while I tried to work. I contacted the front desk through text around 830pm. and checked around 9pm. for a response and was told they were helping other guests. So yeah, I will not stay at this hotel again. Overall, it is a lackluster experience.
