My first experience at the Hyatt in Cedar Park and it did not disappoint. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Took me less than 2min to get checked in and sent off to my room. Room was spacious I particularly liked the restroom and office desk area if here on business. The bed was comfortable and room came with a small fridge and coffee. Endless options for breakfast everything was delicious and I left full and satisfied. This hotel also has food options nearby. If ever in Cedar Park this will be my go to stay they had every accommodation I needed and the property was very well maintained. read more

There were definitely some positives, but also several issues that impacted our stay. The staff we encountered were friendly and always greeted us warmly. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient for our needs. We also appreciated the spacious room layout. Unfortunately, housekeeping and maintenance were inconsistent. We repeatedly requested removal of a dirty trash can that had clearly seen better days. We even placed it in the hallway, yet it was continually returned to our room without being replaced. We also experienced issues with room cleanliness and felt that basic housekeeping requests were not fully addressed during our stay. Another frustration was the early-morning grounds maintenance. Being awakened around 6:00 a.m. by landscaping equipment directly outside the building wasn't ideal, especially for guests on lower floors. It seemed like the work could have started farther from occupied rooms and moved inward later in the morning. What disappointed us most was the lack of follow-up regarding concerns we raised during our stay. We weren't looking for points, refunds, or compensation--we simply wanted the issues addressed so future guests could enjoy a better experience. Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its friendly staff and convenient location, but attention to cleanliness, housekeeping communication, and guest comfort would make a significant difference. I recently stayed at Hyatt Cedar Park for work, and overall I would rate my experience 3 out of 5 stars. There were definitely several positives: the property is located in a beautiful area, there is plenty of free parking, and the hotel itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. My room met my expectations for the rate I paid, and the location was especially convenient since the place I needed to be for work was only about three minutes away. Being roughly half an hour from the Austin airport was also very convenient. The staff experience, however, was mixed, and that is really what brought my rating down. When I arrived on Monday, both the woman at reception and the gentleman who checked me in were fantastic. They were friendly, welcoming, and made a very good first impression, even though I unfortunately did not get their names. On the other hand, the service I experienced afterward was not nearly as good. The gentleman working Tuesday night was not rude or offensive, but he came across as uninterested and not especially polite. He seemed preoccupied with other work, was turned away from the door, and gave me the feeling that I was interrupting him just by approaching the desk. He did not offer help, and the interaction felt dismissive. The experience on Wednesday morning was also disappointing. The young woman working the breakfast area/front service was on the phone while I stood there waiting for several minutes without even being acknowledged. Even a quick "I'll be right with you" would have made a big difference. I understand multitasking can be difficult, but basic acknowledgment is such an important part of hospitality. It felt more like a training issue than anything else. The manager that morning was friendly and pleasant, but I also noticed him walk past a dropped napkin without picking it up. That may seem small, but details matter in hospitality, and they often reflect the overall level of attentiveness. As for the breakfast, I appreciate that it is included in the rate, and that is definitely a plus. I also want to mention that the woman preparing the food was very sweet and kind when I spoke with her, so my comments are not directed at her personally. That said, the breakfast itself was just average and not something to get excited about. The biggest issue for me was the eggs, which were clearly powdered eggs. For me, that is a major drawback because I place a high value on food quality. The rest of the breakfast was standard fare like bagels, sausage, jelly, butter, and similar basics. It was acceptable for a complimentary breakfast, but not memorable. In the end, this hotel has a lot going for it: a good rate, a clean and modern property, free parking, and a convenient location. If I were rating only the room and the property itself, I would probably score it higher. But because service and attention to detail matter so much to me, the inconsistency in staff professionalism brought the overall experience down. I booked this location because it seemed okay based on the reviews and photos. I also couldn't find a 4-star hotel in the immediate vicinity. It was also close to my friend who lives in a neighboring community. We arrived early and stopped by the location to inquire about early check-in. It turned out not to be a problem, so we dropped our bags off and rested before heading out for the evening. The room was okay. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Some of the outlets didn't work, and the water pressure in the shower was TERRIBLE, but other than that, I have no real complaints. We went down for breakfast one morning. It was free, but nothing to get excited over. I guess you get what you pay for... there were cereal, bagels, toast, potatoes, eggs, and pancakes. My sister had the pancakes and said they were gross. I had a bagel and some of the potatoes, which was fine. I was shocked that there was no fresh fruit. Too expensive I guess... I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again, but it was fine for a first-time stay. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights and requested that our room be cleaned, but that didn't happen. It wasn't an issue, though. I just went to the front desk to request clean towels. The gentleman working the desk retrieved the towels for me quickly. The location is near the freeway and close to shopping and dining. read more

1 of the best hotels I've stayed at domestic or international. I mean truly dedicated staff that goes the extra mile to make sure their patrons are satisfied with their stay. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was my wife's birthday weekend so we decided to travel to Austin to get out since we haven't traveled much since Austin. We called ahead since we'd had some concerns about having a crib in our room for our lil one and when we got there it was already I the room. We didn't even have to remind them on the check in. Every area in the room was perfect due to the magnificent layout. The room was a beautiful one bedroom suite with everything you could need. The A/C was nice and powerful. When we wanted it to be warmer it was very responsive and we could feel the difference within moments. At night we would set it really cold and it would send us to sleep perfectly in our nice king size bed. The beds were so comfortable. The bathroom had his and her sinks with a very big mirror that came in handy when we were getting dressed. The see through standing show was a magnificent addition to the bathroom. It was spacious and the shower pumped water out so good I thought it was a spa shower. It massages me as I stood there in perfect peace. The living room area provided us with a beautiful set up that road into the kitchen. A tv was set up there and in the kitchen. Also a tv was in the bedroom. All three TV had cable that even offered Disney Junior for the kids. It even included the capability to connect your mobile devices wirelessly through an app and cast it to the TV via Netflix, Hulu Or etc. this was simply outstanding as we've been to many hotels which lacked this ability. The rooms were equipped with unique paintings that were simple but elegant and showed class. The kitchen had a microwave, fridge and many storage cabinets. Lots of natural light from the big windows in that were about ceiling to floor height. They had nice double shades that provided varying levels of shield from outside. And endless counter top space. A kitchen table that the family can eat at in the morning if you wanted to order breakfast. The staff were so polite and greeted us with a smile. They carefully explained the safety procedures that were implemented due to Covid to ensure our safety. Discussed the complimentary breakfast included with our stay and went to great lengths to make my wife's birthday special. The manager Jennifer Clark saw me walking in the hotel getting some ice to head back to my room and asked me how was my stay, I replied to her, "it was ok." She was not satisfied with that. She asked me what could make it better? I said it's my wife's birthday and making it more special would be awesome. I didn't even have to say anymore. Later on that day we heard the door knock. My wife answered it and it was a special gift from the hotel that brought an ear-to-ear smile to my wife's face. Instantly, It was a priceless moment. I cannot state all the reasons why this hotel is amazing but hopefully, from the things mentioned one can get a picture of why this hotel and its staff are amazing. We are big fans of Hyatt and have stayed at this Hyatt Place several times. Something has changed here. Usually when I check in, as an Explorist, they have a couple bottles of water ready and welcome me at every Hyatt property I've been to. Ot seems not-picky, but something just felt off here. No greeting, acted out put when I asked if an upgrade was available, and told me I could grab one water bottle from the cooler, but not two. I know, no big deal. but just not how things were when we were here last. We were "upgraded" to fifth floor room. It large but austere, had a hole in the sheet, blinds difficult to manage, and worst was a large palmetto cockroach surprising me in the bathroom the first night! read more

This was honestly the nicest and cleanest Hyatt Place I've ever stayed in. My family and I enjoyed our stay over my birthday weekend. I had requested a crib with my reservation and after check in, I was pleased to find that it was already waiting up in our one bedroom suite. The suite was very spacious, definitely a great value for the price. We were able to cast Netflix and Hulu to all of the TVs so we set our daughter up with her shows on one tv while we caught up on some NBA games on another. The king bed was really comfy and the bathroom was nice and big, more than enough space for us to all get ready together. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. They thoroughly explained the new process for housekeeping to minimize contact due to COVID-19 as well as the grab and go option for breakfast. So anyone who complained about those two things clearly wasn't listening during check-in. On the afternoon of my birthday the manager on duty Jennifer stopped by our room with a gift and expressed warm birthday wishes. It was such a pleasant surprise and really thoughtful of her to go the extra mile to make my day even more special! I would most definitely return here to stay when I visit the Austin area again. read more

Very clean, but I noticed apart from my bed being made there was no daily housekeeping done. The trash was not taken out, the shower still had hair in the drain, etc. I do like that Hyatt Places have lots of space in the rooms with a corner couch. No BRAVO channel available though!! And wish a bath tub was available, only shower. Bummed they don't offer lotion as part of the toiletries . Wish they had vending machines for water/drinks on the room floors instead of having to go downstairs. There was a lot of confusion with my payment. First there was a $15 hold for incidentals put on TWO of my credit cards even though I provided only one. The guy said he would check with his manager but never heard from him again. Then, the card I didn't want to use had a $135+ charge the next morning even though I was there for 2 more nights. The lady at the desk although very nice wasn't making any sense and then finally just confessed it was a mistake on their end. Then, upon check out I went to get my receipt and this other lady (she wasn't the most pleasant) said because I booked through hotels.com I wouldn't get a receipt with everything. I had to correct her that I chose the option to provide payment at the hotel. Also, I am just realizing the receipt she gave me only shows 2 nights but I was there for 3? Hoping they didn't have the first night still charged to the wrong card. SMH Decent breakfast spread, but I have seen better and bigger at other HYATT PLACEs I have been to. The bananas were all brown . The waffles weren't fully cooked inside. Overall decent and relatively close to the client I was working with on this trip, but probably wouldn't come here otherwise as its not close to the downtown fun. read more

Nice and clean and right off the 183a in Cedar Park. Close to whole foods and a lot of eateries. Its perfect if you plan on attending an event at Haute Spot in Cedar Park and it is walking distance and literally across the street. Only minor quibble i have is the showers here are a tad slippery and there is no slip mat or grooves on the shower floor. Just gotta be careful in the shower. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! That is if cherish things like talking with your friends, family, or coworkers in the lobby. Be aware your friendly night attendant Roger loves to call the police on people who are being quiet and minding their own business. Two nights in a row I watched him tell grown adults they must go to their room and that they couldn't sit in the lobby and have a conversation. They were not being loud or obnoxious. When the police can clearly see no laws are being broken and tell you to have a good evening you know there is a problem here. read more

We recently stayed at this Hyatt. The location is great, the building and rooms are very nice..unfortunately we had some other issues that will keep us from booking here again. My son and I were dropped off while my husband went to work and I accidentally left my wallet with him..even though it was hot, we had nowhere else to go, and I had mobile copies of both my drivers license and debit cards, they wouldn't allow us to check in without my husband (who wouldn't be back for multiple hours) so we had to wait with no room for hours. Finally we got checked in with my husband and I decided to heat up some food in the microwave for my son, but soon found out that none of the rooms are equipped with them and there are none downstairs either because the one they "possibly had was broken" according to the front desk. The final frustration was the next morning when we came to breakfast (6-9am) around 8:45..we had started getting breakfast for our son around 8:55 once we got a seat and settled..it was exactly at 9:00 on the dot that they immediately started taking everything away (as many people were still standing there getting food and drinks) because I guess they have a VERY strict breakfast time I guess. They didn't even leave out water for guests and immediately dumped the whole thing of coffee. We sat there in the empty kitchen/dining area eating what little we'd been able to hurry and get on our plates. Just inconsiderate and not very people oriented. It's definitely running like a business..which is great for some, just not for us (a family with a toddler). **If you don't want to read my long post, 2 major points to be mindful of when/if booking this place: breakfast has a STRICT 9:00 shut down including all drinks (water and coffee included) and there is no microwave access in the hotel (rooms or downstairs). Five stars isn't enough! My husband, my border collie and I stayed here for 6 days during the ice storm. They were low on staff and food and had a hotel full of people (including some sort of teen hockey team from out of state). Their attitudes were phenomenal. They did the best they could with limited food and people. Keep the hotel clean and kept a smile on their face. I hate to do this, because I really did like this hotel. It's brand new in Cedar Park and is next to an amazing music venue. We stayed here the night of July 30. I booked this hotel for my mom and sister when they came down to help me prepare for my pregnancy (buying maternity clothes, shopping for things needed...etc). I ended up staying with them the first night. We were booked to stay there for two nights, but after the first night woke up to Cockroaches on the walls and crawling around the bathroom. These pictures do not show the biggest of the bugs we saw. We had to make sure to shake all of our belongings out so as not to take anything home with us. The office wanted to move us to another room upon notifying them, but we did not feel comfortable staying another night. They gave us a refund for one of the nights and were very sweet about it. I do not understand how no one else has seen the bugs in this hotel? And there is no way the staff are not aware of this problem. The woman at the front desk did not seem surprised at all. read more

I've always enjoyed staying at Hyatts in the past. However, my experience with Hyatt Place in Cedar Park started out so badly that I cancelled my reservation and will now have to find somewhere else to stay. They gave me wrong information - and even admitted it, but then refused to honor it days after the reservation was confirmed. And in the process, they wasted my whole morning while I was working on a deadline. These are not the type of people I choose to do business with. PS: I work at a major employer very, very close to your location and come in contact with hundreds of people per week. You should be more careful about how you treat people. read more

This hotel is superb. You won't see an overhead image of it on Google Maps so street view won't reveal anything but a small field of grass. It's basically a brand new facility. Being new means everything is fresh and modern. Our room is huge. The bed is ultra comfortable. The television is a 50" ultra-HD. The bathroom is very large. Shower water is very hot and there is good flow. Breakfast is complementary, at least our reservation included it. We enjoyed the variety of fresh fruit, sausage, corn bread and steel cut oats. The property abuts the 183 freeway but east facing rooms are very quiet. No freeway noise. I can't speak to the freeway facing rooms. Hyatt employees can always be counted on to be professional and friendly. This hotel can boast that their employees are as friendly as they come. From our upper floor room we enjoyed sunrise over the horizon. A small herd of Angus cattle graze in a pasture across the way and Lupine, or as they are called here 'Bluebonnets' dot the landscape on either side of the property. My wife and I fully endorse this hotel. When we return to the Austin area this will be our base of operations during the stay. read more

I stayed here during my birthday week since it was close to a wine train tour we were going to go on the next day and it was a very nice and comfortable hotel. The parking lot was clean and there's a cool music venue across the street that looked very busy but didn't affect the parking or anything else that had to do with the hotel. I can tell you I check EVERYTHING in hotels I stay in because I'm very paranoid about how clean they are and our room was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The sheets were also very comfortable and the room was very big and spacious. I would for sure stay there again if ever in the area for an event. This hotel is really nice! It's beautiful and the bed actually has a real blanket which is so rare in cheaper hotels. The curtains black out the sun extremely well. Only complaints are that the front desk person was sitting in his office and I had to wait about fifteen minutes to check in. Also, I'm my coffee basket thing in my room one of the plastic pouches with straw, sugar, etc was opened so that's a bit gross. But I'd still stay here again! read more

1- Deadbolt on door wasn't working (the door was clearly misaligned as it didn't even shut well). I asked for maintenance to come fix it but nobody came. As a single woman, this was important to me. 2- When I left for dinner that night, I realized I forgot something, went back and the door would not open. Told the front desk about that and how the deadbolt was never fixed. When I arrived back from dinner, they had managed to fix the door so it would open but not the deadbolt. 3- The sink was draining very slowly. 4- The room had a stale odor. 5- The elevators weren't relatable. One had an out of order sign but once it was "operational" again I got stuck in there waiting for it to go down and it never did. The door just kept opening and shutting so I had to get out and wait for the only other elevator. 6- The event venue across the street had a concert when resulted in a loud pulsating noise in my room until at least 11 pm on a week night. 7- Elevator floors were so obviously dirty. 8- Syrup on the breakfast floor which got all over my shoes. 9- Every single call to the front desk went unanswered (at least 6-7 attempts throughout my stay). 10- When at the front desk, there was often nobody there. You would have to wait for approx 10 mins before someone would come. I have stayed at this location at least 4 times before. I won't be coming back. Significant decline in quality. read more

My mom and I and several family members stayed here for my cousin's wedding, and everyone was pleasantly surprised. Based on other reviews, we didn't know what we were walking into for the weekend. Our rooms were clean and well-stocked with towels. The morning we were there for breakfast, they provided plenty of options - eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit, bagels, and coffee with different milk options. There was adequate parking. I took off 2 stars only because it reminded me of a cheap hotel. It didn't have a microwave, stains on floor. Food crumbs in my bed and didn't smell clean. They shut off hot water for a few hours didn't know till an hour after it came back on. Guy handed me a paper saying water will be off 12-3 got the paper at 4pm lol. Alittle to late. Wow, what an experience. First let me say, EVERY interaction I personally had with hotel staff was friendly, helpful and genuine. That being said, this hotel needs a LOT of work. We had a meeting here for about 15 people with most of the people staying at this hotel for two nights. Some stayed for 3 and some lived locally and drove into the meeting daily. The sheer mass of complaints I heard are making us rethink EVER using this hotel again. Very disappointing. People have had to change rooms multiple times due to NO A/C (it's almost 100 degrees outside) which has made their rooms hover in the upper 80's. One of the meeting attendees brought her 15 year old son. He literally passed out from the heat in their room. Then that night after changing rooms to have A/C, she woke up to ants in her bed. Not one ant. Not two. MULTIPLE ANTS IN HER BED...I heard complaints about food not being what they ordered, ants in the meeting rooms both days, and more. read more

NOT AT ALL what i expected. No restaurant contrary to what they advertise. It is only open for a few hours early morning for breakfast. Any other time, you have to ask the "receptionist" and see if she "has the time" to go in the back and make you something to eat!!! There are NO gift shops! No coffee shops! Np Cafes! If you'd like to sit in the lobby and have some coffee, you must go make it in your room and bring it downstairs! The staff at this hotel is top-notch. They went out of their way many times for us. We were in the area for our sons wedding, and they were always more than willing to help with anything that we needed. Not only were they more than willing to help but they were very friendly at all times. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
