We were expecting to use the trundle bed and when we pulled it out, the mattress was stained and there were lots of black little things on the mattress.....i didn't see any of them move around, but it creeped us out. The hotel was at 100% capacity due to a local tournament so they had no other rooms to switch us to. In the end, myself + 7 year old slept on the couch. I didn't sleep a wink that night. Also, i think this place is due for a remodel. Just seems like a dated property and the bathroom could definitely be refreshed.

I still can't believe how illogical, confrontational, and rude their entire staff was to our group, all stemming from their unhinged GM named Holly. She is a real piece of work. The morning our group was to arrived I asked them to put out this very simple "Welcome to Austin" sign addressed toward those from our group. We've used this same sign at 40+ properties nationwide. The nutcase proceeded to very aggressively tell me they can't advertise in their hotel. It wasn't an advertisement lol. A simple sign for the night of check in considering we were taking up 4/5 of their hotel for the entire weekend! Give me a break, right? How the conversation should have went: Brent, we've been waiting for you and are excited for the big weekend. Thanks so much for bringing your large group to our hotel. Here's my cell phone. Don't hesitate to call or email me if you run into any issues. We appreciate your business. Instead, this absolutely ridiculous woman named Holly proceeded to CALL THE POLICE and file a no trespassing order since I persisted to try to convince her to allow the sign. She basically kicked me out of the hotel for simply trying to reason. But I learned she is not logical and has no common sense so it was a dead end. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing! I'm not a fan of cancel culture and going after people's jobs but if anyone deserves to be fired, this insane lady Holly needs to be axed IMMEDIATELY. When Monday hits I'm working up the corporate ladder to make sure Marriott makes it up to me and that this obnoxious obnoxious, power tripping woman doesn't play this game with someone else ever again. Absolute nightmare and added stress I didn't need while trying to focus on bringing hospitality to our large event and its participants that chose to join us. Total slap in the face. Holly, you are a disgrace, as well are the associates standing there going along with her antics and not putting a stop to her charades.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was disappointing from beginning…read moreto end. On my very first night, I woke up covered in numerous bites on my leg and hand. They were severe enough that I had to go purchase anti itch ointment just to get through the rest of my trip. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk. Peggy moved me to another room and told me my original room would be inspected by Ecolab and taken out of service while it was investigated. I also made sure to report pre existing damage in the original room, including damaged dresser drawers and a hole in the wall behind the bathroom door, because I did not want to be held responsible for damage I did not cause. The following day, Cesar told me Ecolab found no evidence of bed bugs. He said that if bed bugs had been found, I would have received a full refund, but since they were not, moving me to another room was the only resolution. He also said the room would still be closed for two weeks as a precaution and that he would leave a note for the manager so we could discuss everything at checkout. Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. I was still dealing with the itching from the bites, and there was a youth soccer tournament taking place. Children were running through the hallways and stairwells, slamming doors, and making enough noise that getting a good night's sleep was nearly impossible. When I checked out, Austin was the first employee who was completely honest with me. He looked through the hotel's communication log and discovered that none of the previous staff had documented my situation. There were no notes about the bites, the Ecolab inspection, or the room supposedly being taken out of service. He also explained that no one should have discussed refunds or discounts because the manager was not there to approve them. To make matters worse, I discovered I had been charged for both the original room and the replacement room, even though my original room had already been assigned to another guest after I was moved. Austin instructed me to email the manager, Jessica Borrego, because the phone number for the hotel only reaches the front desk and not her office. I followed his instructions. I emailed her, called the hotel multiple times, and left messages through her employees asking for a response. I never received a single email, phone call, or acknowledgment from Jessica. She had multiple opportunities to address the situation and simply chose not to respond. That lack of professionalism and customer service was the most frustrating part of this entire experience. I understand that hotels cannot always control every issue that arises. What they can control is how they communicate with guests and how they handle problems when they occur. Between waking up covered in bites, the lack of communication between staff, the excessive hallway noise, the confusion over being charged for two rooms, and a manager who completely ignored repeated attempts to contact her, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had. I cannot recommend staying here based on how this situation was handled.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable because I could feel the springs but I was still able to sleep fine. We used the pool twice and it wasn't crowded at all. It had a few lounge chairs and several regular chairs. The staff made sure to keep the towels stocked when they knew we were headed to the pool. There was also a gym but we didn't check it out. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety including a fountain drink machine. I liked making the Texas shaped waffles. My only rec would be more fruit options. Check out was simple by putting the key card at the front desk. I would definitely consider coming back for another stay.

Overall, the hotel was well run from top to bottom, and we would gladly stay here again if we are in the area. A special, heartfelt thank you to the housekeeping team for their hard work each day. Horrible hotel due to the poor customer service of the rude, disrespectful Assistant General…read moreManager, Sean Thomas. We arrived at the hotel around 4:15pm and went to Room 323 to find 7 dead crickets in the room. Asked for housekeeping to come clean the room and was provided a broom and dust pan so we could sweep them up. Front desk clerk said she could not leave and there was no housekeeping on duty. Saturday morning we were advised by another front desk clerk we would be compensated for the first day. That was fine but after returning from UT tailgating we found housekeeping put the do not disturb sign on the door so she wouldn't have to clean the room. Mind me we had a great deal of trash and no clean towels. I went to the front desk clerk, Anna Alicia who was very apologetic but messed up when she called Mr. Rude, Sean Thomas, at home to advise him of what housekeeping did. He yelled at her and me-wasn't apologetic and lied and stated he called us at 12pm to notify us of him comping the first night-which was a lie because he didn't leave a message on the room phone or our cell phone. I was told by him if I didn't like the service to leave the hotel the first time because I wouldn't speak to anyone above him so I called him a damn lie because he didn't own that hotel! At checkout we attempted to see what compensation we would get for having to stay in a dirty room and he lied and said you were comped half for each day. He was screaming at us and us at him. Mind me customers were in the lobby. Told us there was the door for us to leave and he wasn't compensating us anything because we put the DND sign on the door. Remember we were gone from 11:15am and the housekeeper saw us leaving with UT gear on so who would have been disturbed the crickets we didn't see or the trash that was in the room! I am sure the lazy housekeeper does this often because she knows her sorry Assistant GM, Sean Thomas will not do anything to her! We put the dirty towels and trash outside the door so we would not have to keep them in the room with us. Worst hotel experience of my life!! We took the GM/Owner card so let's see how he responds! I will never stay at a Choice Hotel again after this experience!

I couldn't get the AC guy to come out until Monday so I decided for me and my family to stay at a hotel. I had a previous positive experience at a Best Western so I decided to book one at the Pflugerville location. During booking I was given the choice of a King size bed with a sofa sleeper or two queen beds. I chose the King size for me and my wife and our 12 year old could sleep in the sleeper sofa that way we could have a sofa to sit on while watching TV. When we got there, first thing we noticed as the AC was making a rattling noise, then found the bathroom fan did not work and neither one of the lamps. Then the sofa, it was pretty filthy, stains all over and very worn out, you could feel the grease of whatever was on it from years of use. Pulled out the sleeper bed and it was deplorable, squeaky and no support whatsoever and very worn out. I have seen sofas thrown away that are in better shape than this one. The floor was not clean, you could see the stains from whatever was dropped and they were sticky. The shower didn't look clean either, it reminded me of a Motel 6 I once stayed in when I was younger and broke. Called the front desk and asked for a different room, was told they didn't have any other like the one I booked, OK so I asked for one with two queen beds, was told they were all dirty and cleaning staff had left for the day. I went online and search the same hotel, was offered a room with 2 queen beds so you tell me how can there be no rooms available yet you are offered to book a room online. My son slept in the bed with us, it was not very comfortable but we managed to get through the night. Walking around the hotel, I saw very dirty floors, it is obvious the upkeep is poor or the owner does not want pay or hire the staff to get the job done. This hotel should be rated a two star hotel, at $135/night rate, you need to do better. The hotel is also not that old, built in 2016, my advise to travelers seeking to stay here, go somewhere else.

SHE THEN THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME FOR MAKING A CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLAINT. Mind you, I did literally nothing but make a normal CUSTOMER SERVICE complaint. I am a licensed attorney and a professional and I never even raised my voice. Who the heck calls the POLICE on a guest for making a customer service complaint? I wasn't even onsite anymore at the time. I was talking to Sonya on the phone after SHE CALLED ME. Once she made the threat, I then called the Round Rock PD myself to find out if she actually did file a complaint on me. I am waiting to hear back. Below, I've detailed more information about what happened. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I travel WEEKLY for business and I have NEVER been treated as horribly as I was treated by SONYA and because of her, I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property ever again. This hotel does not honor its service guarantee. When I checked in, I had already registered and PREPAID on my American Express card. Despite that, I was still made to fill out an archaic PAPER registration form because they said the "owner" thinks people will lie and say they never stayed at the hotel. Then, the elevator was FILTHY. The major issue, though, is the service. I was NEVER informed that they do housekeeping every other day. I also requested IN WRITING that I receive extra towels. Despite my request, when I returned to my room after a long work day, my room had NOT been cleaned and I had NOT received towel service. I had to clean my own room, handle my own dirty towels and trash, and was offered a measly 1500 points, then 2000 which I expressed was NOT SATISFACTORY. I was not offered a CLEAN ROOM. I was NOT OFFERED A REFUND FOR THE NIGHT'S STAY AS LISTED ON THE GUARANTEE, AND I was not offered POINTS to cover a night. Instead, I was treated like CRAP. Sonya, the "manager," brushed me off in my face, then faked like she was going to "look into the matter," and called me about an hour later after I had checked out, and said they weren't going to do anything to assist. When I asked had she talked to the person who checked me in, she then HUNG UP IN MY FACE. After Sonya hung up on me, I called the hotel back and asked for another manager or the owner's contact information. Alyssa, the front desk agent, said that I was "creating a problem" and to "please stop calling." Mind you, this was my FIRST AND ONLY call besides when Sonya called me then hung up in my face. I asked how I was creating a problem by asking for service as a hotel guest? Alyssa then said the only person I could talk to was Sonya. I said, great. Please transfer me to Sonya again. I was transferred to Sonya who THREATENED ME and said said she was going to report me to ROUND ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR HARASSMENT. This is insane. I'm a licensed attorney and I did nothing illegal by asking for customer service at a HOTEL. Mind you, I am a professional woman and I was kind and did not raise my voice or treat them poorly at all. But, they were not only rude, they also threatened me with the POLICE. If you are BLACK OR A PERSON OF COLOR, do NOT stay at this hotel or at any HILTON chain. Even if you are not black, I suggest you look elsewhere. I plan to look into filing an action for discrimination. I will also be contacting Hilton's corporate office. They do not honor their guarantees or assist black customers. In addition to contacting corporate, I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas for them not honoring the advertised guarantee and then threatening me with the police. This was the WORST hotel experience I've had in my life. Stay FAR AWAY FROM Hilton and if you must stay at a Hilton chain, I suggest you choose any other location except for this one!!!!!
