We stayed here two different nights within a week as we were traveling through Davis. We were looking for a decent place where we could also have our dogs who were traveling with us. Hyatt House met our expectations and we were very pleased with the room and with the stay. The only thing I would say is they are pretty expensive, as the pet charge was $75 each time. I thought this was a bit high as most places charge between $25-$35. My dogs are highly trained and do not potty in other people's homes or businesses so I was not concerned about them, but I suppose this is not the case for many and that's probably why they charge so much. We always put down sheets or towels to protect any furniture they might get up on and we are very responsible. But with so few places allowing dogs I was thankful that they allowed them even with the high fees. There is a nearby dog park which is very nice called Toad Hollow. It was one of the nicest parks we found on our trip. They have separate areas for large and small dogs. There is also a very nice walking path behind the hotel for joggers bicycles and dog walkers. So if you have a dog I highly recommend. They offer breakfast free at the hotel, although it's not too great. I had a bagel, toasted with cream cheese and coffee with some fruit. My husband had the sausages and eggs. They also offered cereal and yogurt. The first time we stayed they had French toast but it wasn't that great, kind of soggy. A waffle maker or pancakes would be nice, maybe a danish. They also offered juices and coffee and tea. We didn't use the swimming pool but I did check it out and it is a very nice pool with soft clean towels. The next time I go through here I would definitely make an effort to use the pool. In the front of the hotel they have a fire pit with some sofas around it. Nice place to sit and have a glass of wine, weather permitting. But I was a little surprised as I thought it was behind in a secluded area and it is not, it is right out in front of the building. They have a bar and one evening I saw several couples sitting having a glass of wine and a couple of people at the bar. It's not a very busy area, not exactly a happening place but still it was very nice if you just wanted to congregate for a little while and visit. They don't have any really close by restaurants so for dinner we just ordered pizza in, from Woodstock's. Apparently a lot of people do that because I saw the pizza guy there multiple times. Their pizza was really good by the way if you're ordering in. The room had two wine glasses and also a very small refrigerator. The one in our room didn't seem to work very well, The one night it was all frozen over. We left our items in the ice chest and just got ice on the second floor for it. All in all I would really recommend this hotel, it's a pretty new hotel and only open for about a year. read more

Traveling as a solo female, I arrived at this location late-night. As such, it was nice to feel a sense of safety and security that was evoked by the grounds and surrounding area of this location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was immaculate, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again. read more

Had a pleasant stay here while visiting friends in the sac area. Bonus that they have electric vehicle chargers! Also dog friendly as there is access to a trail in the back of the property. The room was nice and clean and even though it was close to the highway I could not hear it that much. Different from other hyatt properties in that no water bottles are provided. The complimentary breakfast was just the usual as the other hyatt house properties. read more

I have to give this hotel a 5-star rating due to the customer service alone! Chad Devoe the manager at this Hyatt goes above and beyond to accommodate his guests. Traveling can be difficult at times, fortunately we came across Hyatt House Davis. We really hit the jackpot here. Clean, great customer service throughout. Customer comfort and safety do not appear to be a priority. Last visit in January and again this month resulted in our going to the local target to purchase hypoallergenic pillows. We notified hotel before arrival as to need for feather free. Hotel far from being full, the front desk said they would need to go check empty rooms to find some; a task they were not interested in pursuing. Request for a room not facing freeway noise was met with a room assigned facing the freeway. I was on a paid rate, not points. I am a globalist tier and was assigned one of the smallest rooms they have; no upgrade offered. Will probably be told they are not a Hyatt owned franchise=not really interested in your repeat business. Pillows=achoo. And the breakfast quality has deteriorated. Where did the bacon go?!? Lots of positives: Friendly and helpful staff at the front when we checked in super late at night, WV charging for our car, clean, spacious rooms. My family are staying in a crisply clean, cute, spacious suite with two Queen beds, a sofa sleeper, and kitchen, stocked with basic cooking/eating supplies (fridge, dishwasher, utensils, it's/pans, etc). Stay includes a buffet breakfast that we brought back to our room to eat. We are driving an EV and we were pleasantly surprised to find EV charging here at the hotel. That saved us a trip to the city charging network. Thanks for thinking ahead and including multiple EV charging spots in your lot! We will be back on our next trip. read more

Nice clean get away spot. Near the mall and plenty of restaurants. Staff was friendly m, breakfast was ok, nothing special .

3.5 stars! Nice hotels but small rooms. The lady who checked us in was really nice and upgraded our room. We arrived past midnight, and our parking was comped, which we really appreciate. The room is on the smaller side, and breakfast was on the slimmer side with eggs (yellow???), bacon strips, cut up potatoes, oatmeal, and some bread. Check out was a breeze, and the front desk was nice and friendly (5/9/23). I am not too sure we will book this location again mainly because the black out curtain is not sufficient and lets the light in rather early. They need better quality curtains. read more

The one star is for the dismissive, patronizing attitude of the night shift who, during a recent stay, did absolutely nothing to accommodate a simple request. As a frequent guest, and a globalist with Hyatt Rewards, I was disappointed, offended and inconvenienced- it felt like an attempt to be mean girls at a bad Summer Camp. This is conveniently located next to the highway and fairly new. It is great for a short stay for a family but not a longer stay. Although it felt new, it seemed like their cleaning practices need some work. There were fingerprints all over the fridge and we found little curly hairs in the shower. The carpet also had that dirty feel to it like some liquids may have been spilled on it. The staff were nice and professional. I am glad we only stayed one night. read more

Hello Hyatt house of Davis, I am not normally a gal who reviews anything. I never want to be that person who leave negative feedback,. Unfortunately this review is very unlike anything I have done. But this review I felt was necessary because of the lack of care given to my personal experience. Previous guests on the parking lot had more consideration for my party than the company I paid to stay with. Lobby is nice and enjoyable, came to Davis for a celebration for a family member, the staff was kind while I was in the lobby, helpful and so on. But when booking with the property the promises made we're not kept, 3 people sharing one queen size bed is not the idea of a comfortable stay. Being told you will not be put in a room with your disabled mother who has MS and a 4 year old with a blaring freeway out the window was beyond inconsiderate, when booking I was told that the hotel had a lot of open rooms, the freeway side was not an option seeing as my daughter hears what sounds like a plane engine outside our window, and is afraid to sleep, wakes up crying quite often and having an expectation not met paired with a very cranky little girl made what should have been an enjoyable family celebration miserable and intolerable. The hotel has so much appeal, but it doesn't matter when you cannot have any peaceful moments behind a very expensive door. read more

My friends and I love staying here! The hotel and room are clean and organized. The front staff is super nice, cheery, and helpful! Our suite room had everything we could possibly need. I checked out the workout room and it is also organized and clean! I definitely would like to work out there next time! They have overnight parking security and parking per vehicle is $10/stay. Great location for an easy walk to UC Davis Law School and Mondavi Center. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and nice rooms with breakfast included. You can hear the train multiple times during the night which did interfere with my sleep. My traveling companions in a different room did not hear the train. I am a light sleeper. Hotel cancelled our room without any notification prior to us arriving in town. We booked and paid for a two night stay for a soccer tournament and ended up not checking in the first night but got to Davis for the second night stay. At check-in the rep. said they canceled our room for the second night stay because we didn't check-in the first night and even charged us for the first night as a penalty even though we didn't stay the first night. Our son couldn't stay with the rest of his team in the hotel and we frantically looked for another hotel nearby at a higher cost due to the last minute emergency. It didn't make sense for them to cancel our paid reservation for two nights and even if they did, they should have called, emailed or texted us to let us know. Nowhere in the booking confirmation email did it say you have to check-in the first night or they would cancel your booking, charge for the first night and not notify you of the cancellation. I would give this place negative stars if I could. Will be contesting the charges and writing a complaint to Hyatt. read more

This property has issues with billing. Our soccer team stayed at the property and we booked 5 rooms. I was charged for six rooms . Called the property the following week and gave them all the information regarding the charges. Was told by clerk that she couldn't do anything but the general manager would call me back and resolve the issue. One week later be no call. Called again and went through the same process over the phone for 20 minutes and told the same story . General Manager on vacation and would get back to me. At this point I am disputing one of the charges with my Credit Card company. They probably thought I would just forget. Unacceptable customer service. Never visiting this property again. read more

The two stars is simply to get your attention. The hotel is OK, what you would expect for a stopover for anyone traveling east along 80. I selected it for its "pet friendly" policy. At the desk I discovered that my pre-paid room would be charged a $75 pet cleaning fee. The thinking must be it will take one of their minimum wage employees about five hours to clean up after each pet that happens by. Buyer beware. Especially if you prepay the room. read more

Wow! Talk about service at this lovely hotel! My family comes to Davis often to visit my daughter at UC Davis. We usually book Country Inn and Suites in Dixon. This time we tried the Hyatt house. From now on this is where we will be staying for two reasons, Alexzandry G. and Hayley G.! These two employees went out of their way to make sure or stay was the best it could be. After checking into a room that wasn't cleaned yet, we were quickly move to another. Unfortunately, that room's fridge didn't work so they immediately took us to a bigger and better room (no extra charge) and did not charge for our parking, all the while continuously apologizing for our inconvenience. I thought customer service was gone, not at this hotel. Finally a place, that is in it's own right is a modern, clean, lovely hotel, where the customer gets treated the way they should. Don't hesitate booking a room here and please say hello to Alex and Hayley for us. read more
