I started coming to this location years ago when they were the only place I could get an appointment for our COVID shots. We came to appreciate the quality meat, cheese and customer service in their deli section. I also like the easy parking at this location. This is only about the pharmacy. Their hours are very limited. If you work out of town (Plattsmouth), you may be hard pressed to get your prescription before they close.. I just had 4 rx refilled by my doctor, sent over on Tuesday. This morning, Friday, I was told they had needed to request a shipment of the medications and I should come back after 2. (All four?!? Really all four were out of stock?) At 5pm I was told to come back Saturday. I am moving my prescriptions out of town, as this is the only pharmacy in a town of 6500 people. read more

Went to hi-vee in plattsmouth last night and their was a man and lady working.The lady had a broom and was sweeping the counter off with it next to fryers.then she used the same broom and started sweeping up the floor with it.while the guy worker watched.june 6th at 5:15 pm.while I was ordering chicken and mash potatoes. Your typical grocery store, but Hy-Vee brand is great in my opinion. I feel it's a little bit higher in price compared to Walmart. With that said, you get what you paid for. I feel their personal brand is a little better quality than other store brands. Plus, their employees are always friendly and helpful. This location is flipped compared to the store by our house but nicely stocked. read more

Tonight we were purchasing an item that was on sale and rang up double the sale price. After questioning this error on the stores part the manager arrived to adjust the price. We asked if it was Hyvees policy to give you the item if it want up wrong and Kyle the manager said it was not. He then stated there was even a sign up posting their policy. So we checked the sign and it said if they mess up it is free. We pointed this out to Kyle and he became very upset said her it's only like $3 and told us we don't need to shop there? Finally gave us the refund. Kyle you are right with your attitude and high prices we don't need to shop there. read more

I went in to Hy-Vee at the end of a long day to get some hot food. Chinese was closed early, so I went to the hot deli case. The girl behind the counter did not greet me, did not smile, I asked for a quarter chicken and pointed to the one that I wanted, she grabbed a different one and when I reminded her, she literally threw it back into the case and shook her head. She then gave me a half a scoop of mashed potatoes and six green beans, the clerk never looked up, never greeted me, never smiled said hello or thank you. Experiences like this make me want to choose other grocery stores. I've never been treated with this level of indifference, and the people of Bakers are a hell of a lot nicer. read more

I have had great experiences here with the pharmacy staff helping when the prices of my prerscriptions didn't match what they should have been. I was here when the Plattsmouth Hy-Vee opened. In fact, I did the story about its opening because I was the editor of The Journal for 16 years. I was thrilled with all the choices and the friendliness of the employees. In the past 3 years, however, I have come home on several occasions telling myself, "I wish I didn't have to shop there." This started when you cut employees. This feeling multiplied when you put so many self-serve registers in. And then, you passed a company policy of checking drivers licenses if someone purchased liquore. I like wine. Iam 67 and five days old. No one, no one is mistaking me for a minor. But okay, I got used to getting my driver's license out, even though some of the 21-year-old plus supervisors were rude when they asked for it. Many times, I thought about complaining about the high prices, lack of friendliness and the driver's license policy, but no. I didn't want to be mean. Tonight, I'd had it. I got the license out so no one had to wait for me to find it in my purse. I held it up so the back could be scanned. And then SHE said, as if I was the stupidist person she'd ever met. "Turn it over." "What?" "I have to see the front of it first." "What?" (I didn't look 17. I didn't look like someone who would steal someone else's license to buy one bottle of wine. I had on black slacks, a blue top and a matching scarf. And, I WAS TRYING to be pleasant." Sometimes, a clerk has to use a little critical thinking. SHE's seen me in the store before. Maybe, the back of the card would have been enough. Or maybe she could have said, "I'm sorry. We' have to check both sides now. It's just company policy." Her personality, however, makes a dead lobster look like the life of the party. I wish I never had to shop there again. But I'm 67 years old, and when I get off work, I don't want to drive to Bellevue and back. I read more

So I went in this morning to get my normal coffee and I figured while I was there I would get some milk for the boys because we're almost out. Hyvee clearly is not open at six. That's just a lie that they put on the window to trick you. Because when I got to the register the cashier proceeded to tell me she had no cash to give me my refund for my milk bottles that require a deposit nor could I pay for the groceries I needed with the cash I had in my pocket. My question is why are you opening stores without giving the cashiers the necessary tools to actually do their job this is the fifth time I've walked out of this Hy-Vee yes all the same managers still work there. read more

What a great grocery store! Not to big and not to small with a fantastic selection of high quality products. A couple of the things I picked up to take home that I'd never seen back home are the Caniglia's salad dressing which is amazing and and Gates brand bbq sauce that doesn't taste or feel like processed foods like other brands do. If you stop in looking for the Caniglia's dressing soon and they're out that's entirely my fault as I grabbed all but one bottle they had on the shelves. Great store, loved it. read more

An older lady in the bakery was rude as soon as my wife said hello, then threw our frosted donuts upside into the bag, we had to peel the donuts apart and off of the bag which resulted in no frosting left on the donut. Come on man read more

Only reason i stayed was because i took my son to eat. They went to a partial self service where the self service eats on one side and full service sits on other side. I explained the light coming in through the windows bothered me, ( i have a migraine) was told they can't see me on other side. Told watress i would not be coming back. She kind of smirked. This is my favorite hyvee location, mgmt is wonderful and will fix any issues that arise in the spot. Employees are super helpful and friendly. Their grocery pick up and delivery are always great as well. The delivery is always prompt and groceries are always fresh. read more
