Had a design flaw / workmanship issue with the original install from 3 years back that went unnoticed until one of the units failed. They stood behind their work and did what they could to make it right, covering the labor to fix it though it was technically out of warranty. read more

Wanted to replace old central A/C with Mitsubishi Hyper 2 heat pump. The salesperson came over and basically YES'd us to death. We had very specific requirements as to what the heat pump should be able to do. We previously had a Bosch installed and it works beautifully, meeting our needs. He said yes to everything. As it turns out, it does nothing that he said it could do. He obviously does not know the system. We had bad service response times. However, when it came time for payment they were amazingly available. (Work with our generator, work on an APP to control temperature, be able to switch to our back up heat source). The unit itself had major issues with broken parts that needed replacement and again their service was worse than awful. I would not use this company and would not purchase Mitsubishi Hyper2 heat pump. read more

Terrible experience with HVAC Specialists. They cold called me advertising a $89 A/C tune up special. After declining at first, I thought it wasn't too expensive so why not and scheduled. For the record, I am an existing customer and they repaired my whole HVAC system in May 2024 for a few thousand dollars. They had to come back multiple times for the repair and they charged me on two separate occasions. Anyway, getting back to the more recent issue, they tested the system and changed some filters and then showed me a bill for $290. They said that it was $89 per unit and I had multiple units so this was the total amount. I feel like I was mislead on the price. They know what my system is from the previous work. They quoted me $89. Once they arrived at my home, they did not give me an updated quote after seeing my system. They did the work and showed me a bill that I would not have paid had this been quoted at the beginning, especially after spending a few thousand dollars 11 month earlier to refurbish the whole thing. After I refused to pay, they just went ahead and charged me. I called to complain and they offered to reduce the price to $180 but I refused. Fair is fair and I agreed to $89 not $180. There so many HVAC companies out there (probably all the same PE ownership but that's another story), you don't need to use these guys. I highly recommend taking your valuable business elsewhere. read more

This company was recommended to me, and with the big amount of google reviews and high rating I assumed I would get exceptional service. We recently moved into a new house in april that needed the Hvac system rehauled, new furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers etc. We started this process with them beginning on May so that we can have a functioning HVAC system for the summer heat that is going to be here shortly. The owner of the company came to do the inspection himself instead of his technician Vinny. Great guy, he did a thorough walkthrough and very knowledgeable but that is where the positive praising stops. We would not hear one word back from them unless we call them. We would call once a week for almost 2 months requesting the estimate invoice for the projected work to be done. Every time we called, we would be given excuses ranging from the estimate will be done in a few days to it is done but it is on his computer, he is not in to send the estimate invoice over, ductwork is the wrong size but they need to send a tech over to measure the ventilation duct sizing but they are busy for 2-3 weeks and that they will call us back. No one ever came back, no one called us back after reaching out to them multiple times and no estimate invoice was ever procured to us. We were midway through summer (end of June going into July) with no AC and finally gave up on this company living up to their word and their online reputation mind you we started this process end of April going into May. I reached out to another company, they showed up 3 days later after the phone call to do a walk through, provided an estimate within the week and started the job 2 weeks later and finished promptly within 8 days. This is how you handle potential and future clients, be true to your word. If you do not want to do the job, verbally communicate that instead of wasting the time of the homeowners. read more

I called this company based on the many stellar Google reviews, but I was seriously disappointed. I'm not quite sure how they have so many positive reviews with the service I received. On May 24th, I reached out after another company failed to resolve our issue back in March. We recently moved to a new home last summer and noticed that the 2nd floor gets extremely hot. The former owner had converted a single system hvac unit into a dual. We're supposed to be able to cool the top floor separately but it has never worked efficiently. We have an infant and her room on the 2nd floor was the hottest. When i called this company in May, I let them know about the first company failing to resolve the issue and expressed my concern regarding PROMPT resolution since my Infant daughter could not even sleep in her room at this point. The rep talked a great game, sounded scripted, but I didn't care as long as the issue was fixed. He even noted that because there was a baby involved, they'd make sure the issue was resolved swiftly. They scheduled me for June 2nd. A tech came to my home, rewired the dampers, and mentioned that we'd need to replace the duct work in the attic since the air flow dissipates by the time it gets up to the top floor. He said he used to work fixing this stuff for large industrial companies, and we just need to get better ducts to force more air out of the vents. We were grateful for finally having a solution, and he said someone else would need to come out to take a look and draw up the plans before we could get an estimate. At this point, we knew we'd be spending at least a couple grand to replace what they were talking about. He said someone should be in contact quickly to schedule follow up. A few days pass, I call back since no one has followed up with me. I speak to someone who apologized for lack of follow up and then throws some excuse out about the last rep leaving and him being new and not getting the info passed on... whatever. He says someone should reach out to me. I call back one last time to find out what's going on and let the rep know I'll be looking elsewhere if I don't get contacted soon. He again apologized. I finally get a call back a week later and another appt is scheduled for June 16. Now we're in mid June still without a plan and a baby that can't sleep in her room... not to mention everyone else being hot on the 2nd floor. A more senior person comes out on june 16th to draw up what needs to be done. This is a Friday. He confirms what the tech said about replacing top floor duct work and said he'll submit his report and get back to me by Monday or Tuesday the LATEST. Well guess what, another week rolls by. I call and ask what happened to getting a report and estimate by Monday or Tuesday. I get an apology saying that it would be just a few more days. ANOTHER WEEK PASSES. We're now in July. I call back again, having already having paid a fee for them to come out and not wanting to pay another company again. The guy apologized again, saying the guys that have to make the ductwork were backed up and hadn't gotten back to him yet but that he'd get on them. At this point it's July. We started this in late May. I then proceeded to ask how much longer they'd need... one or two weeks maybe? (I didn't expect it to take that long but just threw it out there to see what he would say). He says, hopefully not, but maybe... and that he'd get back to me. It's now mid August and I have NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. The summer is basically over. And the problem that I was assured would be promptly fixed, never even got started on. I immediately called another company after getting off the phone with this one. The company I called came over quickly(we were leaving on vacation in 2 weeks and wanted at least an estimate before we left). #1. They were there in a few days. #2. They RE-rewired the same dampers that the hvac specialist tech did, noting that it was wrong. #3 they found a 3rd damper that this company missed and noticed that it was just closed!!! The new company said the ductwork was perfectly fine. Once he found and opened the hidden 3rd damper everything was fixed and the new company ended up saving us literally thousands of dollars!!! All they did was check the fundamentals. They never even had to come back and the problem was fixed on the same day visit in less than 2 hours. The new company was so thorough, checking things I never saw other techs do. I found my new HVAC company! read more

I hate writing bad reviews but in this case I feel it is necessary. I had HVAC specialists replace my air conditioning units over the summer and they did a great job. When I started having issues with my boiler I called them thinking I would have a similar experience. My main point of contact was John and he was a disappointment from the beginning. He says all the right things and talks like a used car salesman. I had to follow up for months to get someone out to my house. Finally someone came and said he wanted to send an expert to check the efficiency of the boiler. I again had to follow up to make that appointment. Once we finally got someone out they found air in the line and drained and said our unit is in great shape and should be running fine and hopefully this will help. That was this past Tuesday. Well now our boiler is not working at all which has never happened. Could it be a coincidence? Sure. Is it likely that the work done had an impact? 100% There is water dripping out of the unit. It was running fine before... I got a hold of John and from the beginning he had a major attitude that I was bothering him on a Sunday morning. I asked when he had a tone and was being so defensive and that only escalated him further to a point where I told him I would have to go somewhere else. I have worked in customer service for 20 years so I understand how this should have been handled and how it was. Wanted to make everyone aware when they are looking for an HVAC recommendation. read more
