Thus, I have been using them for years and they are the best! They are honest, do a fantastic job and are very easy to work with. Their entire team starting with Kelly who does the scheduling, Erion, Mirim and Leo are absolutely the greatest! I had a hard job for them and "pestered" Kelly, whom I never met, for quite a while. She was always gracious and helpful. Today, Mirim and Leo did the job that I doubt is anyone's favorite. They never complained and did it expertly and efficiently in about two and a half hours. An A/C specialist ("FRED") from Superior Comfort Heating & Cooling LLC phoned me on Weds. afternoon April 24th 2024, and he was here before 8am the very next morning (Thurs) to inspect my split-type central A/C system. He quickly determined that the outdoor Condenser Unit and the indoor 'Coil' needed replacement. FRED then contacted my property manager. He returned before 8am the following morning (Friday April 26th) with several large boxes of new A/C equipment (Carrier brand), which he temporarily stored in the garage here. On Saturday morning (April 27th), FRED returned before 8am again, this time with a helper he called his "duct man". They wasted no time in getting to work. I was impressed and amazed by the speed and efficiency with which they worked together. Two hard-working, knowledgeable, experienced individuals working together seamlessly. They completed their work within hours, MUCH more quickly than I expected. They left absolutely no mess behind them. It went up to 90F a couple days later, and I was glad to feel that my central A/C system was now working like new again. Big difference. And now, in the middle of a heat wave, our air conditioner died, and they are bending over backwards to make sure we get a new one ASAP, even if it means them installing the thing in the middle of the summer. Our rep, Scott Fischer, even said he'd loan us a portable air conditioner so we don't melt before they can get the new air conditioner installed. Everyone we've ever dealt with from Dowd have been helpful, knowledgable and kind.

The woman on the phone assured us that they do. The first thing the hvac gentlemen said is "we don't really work on these oil heaters". When i said to him that we specifically asked the woman about it he told us "she's just dispatch". We were told that the soot needed to be cleaned(over $2700), they may need to remove the wall to do it which would cost more, and they don't replace the wall if they take it down. Then after all of that, they would be able to diagnose what is actually wrong with the heater, if its something more than a cleaning. If you live in Levittown, don't walk...run! You might as well throw your $150 in a hole and call someone else. Benjamin Franklin came out and hour later and fixed it for $417.

They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. We'll definitely be using them going forward, and have a fall furnace checkup scheduled.

On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.

Names and pictures of the three technicians reported that text they came one time removed the old equipment cleaning up as they went. And installed the new equipment. Walked me through the operation of this equipment. They left my house cleaner than it had been before they came. I cannot recommend highly enough this company. Friendly, professional, quick service. After installing a new blower motor on 1/9, Jacob and Emanuel assessed, it was not the motor, then proceeded to order a motor module. After installing the module on 1/19, the heat was good to go. Both were professional and knowledgeable. Also Brooke, whom I contacted on 1/20, requesting detailed information pertaining to the job performed, for insurance purposes, was emailed to me within 30 minutes.
