This was what I could only describe as that neighborhood cheers-like roadhouse pub. Reminds me of folks you see in movies. The regulars perched at the bar or tables where staff know their name. I give the staff all the props in the world. The friendliest bunch. That being said, oh boy. The food was not too good. I had ordered nachos and they just besides being covered with lettuce didn't have much else to them. The drinks were either too boozy or too watery. So in terms of consistency I would say that may not be best to order cocktails. The washrooms though. They are an adventure. You know a scene in that movie, you know the one I mean. Where the audience says don't go there. Well, if you want an adventure in bathroom below ground haunts this one is pretty up there. Have to say, I can't bring myself to go back because I really don't wanna go back there. But again, customer service was awesome.

My boyfriend lives in the area and so this is our go-to spot when we want to have a couple of beers! The staff are super nice and welcoming, the poutine is AMAZING and overall it's a good atmosphere! The little patio in the back is pretty basic and could use a little more decoration but it does the job!

This is another favorite place I go to for wings. My favorite are their grilled wing with Canes Sweet Heat. Wings are often juicy and have a nice smoke taste to them. It comes with either fries or veggies sticks. They got half price wings on Monday and Tuesday but you have to buy a drink. If you haven't tried grilled wings before you should definitely come here.

Hurricane's is a great little bar/restaurant in the Bloorcourt neighbourhood. It has just about everything you'd want your local watering hole to have: Pub grub, a full bar, music, sports fanatics and every night has a special theme. Tuesdays' are 2-4-1 wings (which has in the past been my night-usually with a pitcher and the Leaf's game), and Wednesday's are karaoke (very fun to watch). As basic pub food goes, try the wings or their fish and chips!

Food: was pretty good actually. I ordered a Canuck burger with poutine. The poutine was great. The burger was good. A little bit burnt for my taste and simple but good. Girls: the girls that worked there I can only assume are usually happy. Then again we went on a holiday Monday at around 7pm so they were probably tired. Our waitress looked like she was ready to go home. She was not too pleased when we asked to split our bill in the end. But overall attention wasn't too bad. They brought everything we asked for. Location: not the best location. Crazy house on the other side of the street where a lady greeted us yelling am"stop touching my stuff" to a door. The thing we hated the most was that they kept the door opened the whole time and there was a group of about 4 guys who smoked every 20 min and he wind brought that unpleasant odour inside the restaurant and we as well as the table beside us had kids. Gross. Finally: I personally wouldn't go back unless, like yesterday Victoria Day, We couldn't find anywhere else better!

    Grilled wings. Delicious

We had been coming here for years we stopped about 5 years ago because the menu changed and it tried to be something it wasn't. It's a dive bar and that is what was fantastic about it. We decided to give it a try again because I really needed a cold beer. We had Mill St. Organic and honey garlic and medium grilled wings. The wings were really delicious and the grilled flavour goes nicely with tge sauces. However, what the frig is with the plates!??? Serve bloody wings in a basket with a bowl for the bones the plates are too big for the tiny bar tables. If they just embraced their dive bar glory it would have been a great experience. We are so going back on 2-4-1 wing night.

Simple pub food, but decent. Had the burger and it's made in house with a fresh brioche bun from ACE. It was yummy.

Gord and I had Pep & Cheese pizzas (10" New York style pizza, pizza sauce, Ezzo pepperoni, mozzarella, oregano and Grana Padano cheese) and we both took half of our pizzas home for lunch tomorrow. Rosemary had Mac and Cheese (creamy mac and cheese made with our beer and cheddar sauce, topped with melted cheese, shaved scallions) and Chicken Tenders - Kids Combo (3 kid-sized buttermilk marinated, panko-breaded chicken tenders; served with thick cut french fries, plum sauce and ketchup) ... the mac and cheese looked delish and she took half home but the chicken tenders were overcooked. Kevin had a Chicken Clubhouse Sandwich and fries (classic clubhouse sandwich served on 3 pieces of toasted white bread, stacked with grilled chicken breast, shredded lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, bacon, guacamole and chipotle aioli spread). Alfred had a Margherita pizza (10" New York style pizza, pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and Grana Padano cheese). Christine had a Chicken Caesar Wrap (grilled chicken breast, romaine, parmesan, caesar dressing, wrapped in a 12" flour tortilla) and took half home. Ocean was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us. For some reason, the 3 pizzas came out about 15 minutes after the other meals so they were almost finished by the time we started.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

There's a variety of booze and you can even sit at the bar if you want. So it seems to be quite spacious. You can also reserve an Open table. We had a big breakfast with French toast. I found the bacon could've been a little more well cooked for me. Especially since I asked for it being crispy, but it was OK. The rest was pretty good like I said a standard breakfast. And they did leave us alone to kind of have a nice chat . Getting there. I know there are parking garages nearby including one right next to the Scotiabank Theatre.
