They had a lot of fun drinks to chose from though. I decided to start with the Winifred. When I got my glass I was a little shocked. It was $13, and small with a lot of ice. I brushed this off thinking well it's a pop up bar and specialized for Hocus Pocus theme. I took a sip and was shocked. It was as if the drink wasn't mixed. All the syrup was at the bottom and all the alcohol was at the top. From the looks of my friends they too were not enjoying their drinks. Sadly this is not where my experience ended. After receiving our drinks, no one came to check on us. We decide to move to another location, but it took a long time for our server to get to us so we could pay our bill. I was sadly disappointed with my experience.

I love the dim lighting and the different seating that they have. My favorite part was the back patio area and there is an extra ducted off room that is more intimate than the inside. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got one drink off the menu and he made me a drink based on what I liked for my second drink I will say that the drinks are very strong. I generally like a balanced cocktail, but I won't complain about a strong drink either. Once I told him what I wanted, and he was able to adjust my drink even the one that came off the menu. The cocktail that I got was called it's more than peeling. It was good, but very strong I asked for more chocolate to balance it out and that made it perfect for me.

This is the first bar they started playing in and the became part of this odd family there... and an odd family, it is! This little hole in the wall is strange. It's difficult to navigate because of how small it is. There are literally 4 tables to seat in here, and not a lot of standing room. I'm not sure if it was really dirty in there, or if the wood paneling and low lighting gives the illusion of dirt. The drinks were cheap, but limited. They only have like Budlight and Miller High Life class of beers... but on that note, they don't have PBR... which was surprising to me, since it seems to be a Kansas City epidemic of sorts. They do however sell giant cans of Monster for 3 bucks! Cheaper than QT! :) And if things couldn't get weirder... they did. There is no stage, so the band was literally playing in the arcade section of the bar. The lack of space didn't stop two completely wasted girls from dancing wildly and knocking things over, including themselves and band equipment. Maybe going back on a normal night, no event, less people, etc... maybe then, I could change my mind about this place. But as of right now, I don't have much intention on returning. If you're looking for a small backwoods, midwest American bar, this is the place for you.

We didn't spend much time at the actual bar out in the main area, but it looked snazzy and our waitress was on the ball with drinks to our private room. My minor quibbles are that several of the songs...the lyrics weren't actually right? And it didn't seem like the mics worked particularly well. But it was good enough for friends just having drinks blasting out well known tunes together. Overall it was a good time. Just dress appropriately for the walk over, make sure you've got your ID (they card), and try not to sing too far...off key.

The sound system or the platform they use at times was difficult to hear the music prompts to follow along. The music seemed a bit too stripped down to pick up at times especially when several people were singing along. The system would add it's own song suggestions, which I can understand the reasoning for that, but it ended up kind of overwhelming our list of preferred songs and we ended up having to frequently skip several songs in a row that had been added "for us". The "disco lights" in the room added a fun touch but there were a couple that were like red laser lights that ended up being a bit too much as they'd zap you in the eyes while trying to watch the screen. I did leave with a stiff neck and a bit of a headache from the lights, but it had already been a long day at the office so that likely added to it.
