Ernie's cabinet installer, Johnny, was good. He was nice and did a good job. He even went above and beyond on a few things. Unfortunately, Ernie (the owner) wasn't so helpful. For one thing, he's lazy. He didn't finish the demo that we hired him to do. He left an entire cabinet still attached to the wall, and several scraps still attached to the pipes and subfloor. He used lame excuses to cut corners: "they're not paying me enough for this job", "I don't do plumbing ", "I don't do electrical." Really? You're in the kitchen-remodel business and you don't know how to disconnect a range hood? We had to finish the demo on our own. Worse was his not-my-problem dismissive attitude, like he really didn't care that this customer had paid him money. At one point, in trying to schedule the next phase of the job, his assistant told us "next week". But when we followed up to confirm, Ernie told us it wouldn't be until the week after that. He was rude. We said "we're just trying to get our cabinets installed". He snottily replied "yeah, you and every other customer!" I would not recommend Boise Kitchen Cabinets & Design.

He listened to my complaints regarding the kitchen I had at that time and the ideas that I had regarding a new one. He added his expertise into the mix with suggestions. The quote was provided within a week as well as the different businesses I would need to visit to select finishes. Once I entered into an agreement with them I was provided a contract and calendar that defined which trades would be in the house and on what day. The whole process took a little over four weeks and the timeline was followed exactly. The different trades that he contracts with were very reliable and the work was impeccable. I would highly recommend Boise Kitchen Cabinets and Design for any kitchen and/or bath remodeling project.

I mentioned purchasing my own flooring from the beginning but he offered that he could get nice flooring at discount (contractor's price), so I trusted what he said. Well the flooring was faulty. It looked horrible once completed. It had different sheens, while some of it looked matte, some of it looked glossy, with a sheen. It resulted in a complete re-do after the inconvenience of waiting an entire month of delays, with poor communication, as he was very busy with the Eagle job! The flooring company people ended up coming out twice to look at the horrible flooring, to see if they were going to replace it. In the interim, this is a rental that I'm losing time and money on. Long story short, they ended up replaceing the floor, but charged me for the labor cost for doing it! Something that was never my fault in the first place. If Stephan had been there over-seeing the job, I believe that this wouldn't have happened as I'm sure he would have noticed right away the faulty flooring, it wouldn't have gotton to the point it did. I don't think he ever even went there until after his guys had completed the job. Might I add that the entire house was coated in an inch of dust afterwards, no clean up! Not sure if they were cutting the flooring inside the house or what?? The job was only for 611 sq ft. My final cost over $5, 500! I will never use this company again and would hope that people really do their research before hiring these guys!

RHG was one of the positive experiences I had and I love my countertops...until recently. I noticed a stain that had showed up after some time. I spoke with RHG and they agreed it was something that occurred in prep process. They were willing to work with me and have my countertops removed and fixed. After a lengthy repair process, they returned the countertops with the stain almost gone, however a larger stain in a different area next to a noticeable crack were now there. I asked numerous times to gain a better understanding about the crack and why no one mentioned it before they reinstalled it and why I had to bring it up to them. Overall, RHG made several attempts to help me, but we couldn't get on the same page at the end. I am super frustrated with my island countertop and left feeling uneasy about the quality and integrity of my countertops overall.

My contractor picked up 83 boxes which contained 7 tiles, equaling 14 square feet. The total pickup was 996 square feet, not the 1200 listed. This was also evidenced when I ran out of tile. This also happened on a small order where I did the math for what I needed , added 10% for waste and was still 2 boxes short. The receipt does NOT show boxes, so you do not have recourse once you leave the store. Phil is argumentative, and although Marco seems decent, this has not been resolved so this is my PSA. This has cost me over $1500 in materials and trips back to the store for more tile. It was Florida tile so part of the issue is probably with the supplier too. Count the boxes AND the tiles. Sorry guys but that is the truth. Otherwise, good selection and customer service.
