I contacted Jeff with Straightline Carpenty and arranged for him to look at it. He arrived at the scheduled time on time. It took him about 2 hrs to complete the adjustments so that the wood would feed properly. His fees were very reasonable and I should have paid more. He is very knowledgeable and just a great clean cut guy with a great personality. I have been in the construction and woodworking business for 48 years and it nice to know that there are still some young men out there with a good work ethics, eagerness to work and do quality work. He responded to my request so quickly, showed up on time, sent a bid right away (great price) and delivered exactly what I asked for (beautiful custom wood outdoor entry gates). His workers were so professional and nice and I was very happy with everything. With that, I was going to keep him around to do custom interior doors, new fence and some smaller outdoor projects. He came back to look at all the other things and completely ghosted me. I was very taken aback by this. I emailed him a few times, texted him and then called him because I was worried something happened to him. No response. I call his carpenter that did the gates to see if he was ok and Mike confirmed he was fine and he didn't know why he wasn't responding to me. He said he would be seeing him the next day and see what was going on. I have since heard back from either one of them. This is just so disappointing, disheartening and extremely unprofessional. No matter what the reason, I feel he could have let me know. The fact that he carpenter didn't even follow back up with me is weird too, just not cool. He experimented with different stains for two weeks and came by our place twice to check options against the original wood in the other room. Before the job he offered a few different options (direction we wanted the wood to run, how did we want it to look near the cabinets, etc.) and then during the job he came up with a few ideas to make the final product even nicer. For example, we have a skylight and he lined the interior of that with the same wood and it looks fabulous and really finishes the room. He also used trim to finish the edges. Matt is a true craftsman who takes pride and great care in his work. He is also super professional: he was always on time, communicated well before, during, and after the job, and his pricing is competitive. We would use him again in a heart beat. He's also a honest, straight forward, and a super nice guy!

They had the skills to handle the full job, including installing cabinetry, appliances, tile, plumbing, electrical and hardware. They did a stunning masonry job on our fireplace, complete with a custom mantle. They built a faux beam to match the mantle and installed all new lighting and fans to finish the room. There was no shortage of delays caused by the cabinet distributor, but Brady and Steve were smart and flexible, allowing them to keep the job moving along.
