My partner doesn't drink coffee and he loved it. Stopped by this place on our way home to Cali and it was perfect. Warm and sweet.

you will drive right by this and think nothing of it. But inside house is an amazing unexpected espresso machine. The owner is from europe in takes great pride in making an excellent latte. I was in Blanding on business I ask around if there was any where I could get a latte. I was told sadly, no. To my surprise there actually is a place and that is hunt Trading Post. Their hours say 8 to 4 but the husband and wife owned business is often open a little bit outside of those times.

My second sip of the spiced mayan mocha.

Fabulous cappuccino made by friendly and welcoming locals. Would absolutely recommend a stop here if you're in Blanding.

We went to Hunt's for a coffee and spent an amazing hour with Wayne talking about his family who have run Trading Posts for decades.

I had…read morejust got a speeding ticket and wanted to get out of the car and enjoy a coffee beverage somewhere. High Desert Cafe looked inviting, so we made a stop here. This place is pretty cool. The outside of the building is very colorful. High Desert Cafe is a coffee shop, gift shop and diner all in one building. We first checked out the gift shop area before getting our coffee. They have a number of shirts, blankets, jewelry, local stones and art for sale. High Desert Cafe has two separate counters - one for coffee and tea drinks and the other one for food. The food menu has a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, breakfast items, smoothies and ice cream. It was early, so we ordered breakfast burritos and coffee on it. The kitchen staff was nice and chatted with us while they cooked our food. There is a small dining area where you can eat your meal when it is ready. High Desert Cafe is a nice hidden gem to stop by if you are passing through Monticello.

They had all the basic breakfast items, things like omelettes and pancakes, etc. They had a decent list of drinks too, and even though it wasn't on the menu they did make me a lavender london fog since they had the ingredients for it. The food was very filling and I left happy! The inside gives off a diner vibe, but slightly more upscale/indie? And they sell some independent products (e.g. lip balm, recipe books, etc.). Bathroom was pretty decent too, but there's only one stall so note that you may have to wait if a few folks are also dining there (was pretty quiet the random weekday morning I cam though). Plenty of free street parking available outside too. Overall it's a cute little spot for brunch if you're passing through Monticello.

Grandma's was closed, but this stand was open. They have quite a lot on the menu for such a small stand, and a lot of options for fry bread. We decided to go with the regular fry bread with cinnamon and sugar. The two ladies inside were friendly and got our order ready quickly. It was nice and fresh as they made it while we waited. It was extremely windy that day, so even though there were tables and seating available, we opted to just eat in the car and head back out on the road. The fry bread was delicious and a wonderful snack!

In fact, it's the only spot in the area to grab food. They got a picnic table where you can sit and eat, which is nice if you want to take a quick break. I tried the traditional fried bread ($8). You can choose your own toppings, either sweet or savory. They have options like cinnamon sugar, honey, or garlic salt. I went with the garlic salt one, and while it was definitely on the salty side, it had a great garlicky flavor that I liked. They also sell snow cones in different flavors, and sodas are $3 and water is $2. They also really appreciate cash payments. Service was great. Food didn't take that long to come out.
