Dr. Gilbert always took however long was needed to actually listen to me, do a very thorough examination & made certain I understood whatever the issue was at hand and all of my options. I never once felt rushed to get out of there or that another patient was more important than me at that time. Dr. Gilbert is a compassionate, understanding gentleman who genuinely cares for his patients, has the skills, knowledge and experience to help his patients with any health issue and the network of associates to assist. I would recommend Dr. Gilbert above any physician in the state of Montana. If you have the opportunity to see Dr. Gilbert & choose another doctor, you may as well just plan on staying sick.

Dennie Rau, PT is the sole therapist in this practice. I was impressed from the moment I met him and couldn't have been happier with the treatments he used to alleviate the pain, and the useful back strengthening excercises he assigned. This man brings many years of expertise to help his patients and is the most effective PT I have ever experienced. His sense of humor is pretty refined too. He is very perceptive and his disagnostics skills are excellent. He really provided me with relief from the pain and techniques to avoid future problems.

I had been a customer of Elkhorn Vision for a number of years and also have brought my 4 children…read morein each year just before school to get an eye exam. 3 out of 5 of us have to wear glasses/contacts. I had a co-pay of $4.00 that I was given a call about 7 months after my visit. When I asked for the bill to be mailed to me the person I spoke with said it wasn't worth the stamp to send it, but would email it me, and sent it to me on 04/21/17. I then received another email on June 2nd saying they were going to send me to collections for my $4.00 co-pay. The thing that upset me was that I have been a client of theirs for a number of years, and to send me a nasty gram via email for $4.00 has caused me to seek eye care somewhere else. It was the principle behind it. I could have paid when I came to see them in August I have never not paid them. The other thing that was upsetting was they had told me was that I would be refunded for the contact fitting that my daughter had, but because she was so young was having problems getting the contact in. When I said I didn't want the money back just the ability to get it done this coming year she said they couldn't do it. I do not like being told one thing, and then another months later. The doctor is great, but the fact his staff is allowed to treat long standing paying clients this way speaks volumes.

Adequate service but sloppy or dishonest business…read more I bought two pairs of glasses from Helena Vision Center. The glasses are okay, but I was told that they do not accept my vision insurance, and that I needed to pay cash, which I did. Later I found out that not only do they participate in my insurance plan, but that they filed the claim and the claim was approved. I do not know if they collected the insurance money. When I complained, they promised to rectify the mistake, but they never did. In fact they sent me another bill. Later they simply refused to talk to me. "Someone will call you later". No one ever called. So I am out the money that my insurance covered, $500 to be exact, and they refuse to correct the situation. I have no other recourse but to take legal action.
