Well, the X-rays don't lie St Peters, but did you bother to do one and make sure? Nope! So I was taken here instead, to Riverwood Health. They were immediately concerned when they saw I couldn't walk any longer, and since I was laying on the floor groaning in pain, as well. I was taken back immediately and seen by a qualified doctor, who then gave me some great suggestions, did X-rays and prescribed pain medication and examined my back, which St Peter's did not even bother to do. Dr. Paula Colledge, at Riverwood was like: Omg....I have never felt a back like this! The muscles are like rocks! She was very concerned, and I was treated like a human being, whereas at St Peter's, I was not. I cannot thank this clinic enough, for taking me and my injury seriously, and doing something about it. Would this ever happen at St Peter's hospital or Clinic? Never. At least, not for me. I said no as he was here for a groin issue and she got mad at me....I stood my ground as they do not need to do all kinds of tests just because you have insurance! We have had so many bad experiences here over the years and have complained several times to no avail. Actually 1 time they sent me a $10 Starbucks card to appease and let my complaint drop!!!!! We avoid them and do all our medical at Benefis!!!!! They have earned their bad reputation!!!!!!

There seems to very little concern for patients who go the ER. Root causes of why the person came…read morein are often overlooked. My elderly mother was discharged from the ER but was able to perform daily tasks, she probably should have been admitted to the hospital. I reached out to the hospital, to a social worker to get some help or resources regarding what we may be able to do in regards to her health and living situation but they didn't return my call. But hey, why return calls or come up with solutions to an ongoing issue when they can fleece Medicare for ambulance rides and ER visits. If you don't absolutely need to utilize this facility, I highly recommend going to Great Falls or Missoula.

Since then she has become so busy and swamped that when you visit her, she treats you like a new person every time she sees you (meaning she can't remember her own patients). It is impossible to get a hold of her and they rarely consider anything important enough to schedule more rapidly than a month to two months out. EVEN when you have issues after being diagnosed with cancer by a different doctor. Her nurses constantly tell you different stories and I wonder whose medical records they are looking at when I call. You better hope you never miss a call from this doctor or God forbid you end up in the phone tag run around. I will be finding a new doctor, and that is just as frustrating that I am so disillusioned I have to go to those lengths.

I was unable to make copays because all my money was going for these things. I was receiving weekly treatments that I was told were critical. One day, forty minutes prior to an appointment, I was given a certified letter stating that SHIM was dropping me as a patient. No warning whatsoever was given. Just bye bye, we don't care if you die because we only care about rich sick people. They give good care. However, they are despicable cowards when it comes to communicating with poor sick people.
