I am currently a senior in high school and along with my grades, my great ACT score has given me the opportunity to attend my dream school, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and I can attribute my ACT success to my experience with the Reading Tree program. I am so happy with my choice to attend the Reading Tree program. I had other friends in similar ACT prep programs with hundreds of students being taught by very few teachers. They said that they felt as if they "never got any personalized attention" and that it was a "waste of time." I found this to be the complete opposite at the Reading Tree. The teachers were warm and patient (regardless of the level of the student), and they always had an answer to my questions. The intimate environment really made me feel that my success was a primary goal to the program. Along with the books we received for homework and practice tests, we got a binder that had so many different helpful hints and tricks that I used when I took my test (and my test results confirmed...they definitely work). I felt the homework assignments to be well thought-out and relevant to what we needed to focus on. I can't say enough about how successful I feel the Reading Tree program is. From its personalized program, helpful text materials, well-educated teachers, and of course, great test results, I feel that it is beneficial to any junior or senior looking to do well on their tests; it is definitely worth it. Thank you to all my teachers!

Ok this is our 2nd child in the program and wowza!!!…read more Our son came in needing basic English and Math prep before ACT prep, we started the summer of 2014 going into his Junior year. 18 mos. later he goes from an OCT'14 (19 ACT) to an APR'15 (22 ACT) to a SEP (27 ACT). All we did was follow the program, my son worked hard because he new what was on the line, and his tutors quite honestly took a personal interest in his progress. We would like to thank the test center (all associates) and his tutors, he will give it another shot next month so maybe further improvement... Check out my other review - My oldest son went from a 29 ACT to a 35 ACT, needless to say we have had 2 very successful experiences and we have 4 more kids to go... money well spent. They have a great indoor gym for those days that they can't go outside to play. That's an important thing in preschool! They also do a good job of teaching them the basics - numbers, letters, colors, being nice to others, etc. As far as price goes, it's pretty comparable to the other schools in Wheaton. They have parent teacher conferences and even provide baby sitting for them, which is really great. Alas, our favorite teacher, Mrs. Craig is gone. She was the bomb!

The sales pitch was strong but we saw very little results. I could understand this but when I tried to address this and ask questions , I had ZERO response. Ghosted. I'd suggest trying another route and will the next time.

I came from a really big camps (UCLA - go Bruins!) so I was not used to attending school at such a small campus but it is actually really nice because you can walk anywhere within 5 minutes (except when you have to walk to the Wellness Center). The library is a great high tech center with lots of study places and on the first floor next to the library, there is a 24 hour study room. I was a bit bummed to find out the library isn't open 24 hours. The gym is pretty neat and it is almost never crowded. I wish we had a pool on campus. The commons (cafeteria) has lots of yummy dishes that rotates every day so you can never get tired or sick of the food. It is CASH only though so if you plan on eating often, I would suggest getting a meal plan with the school. Parking can be pretty tough when all the students are on campus at once or trying to get out all at once...since there's only 1 way in/out.

I love where it's situated in beautiful Downers Grove, the security is a bit much but it's nice to know we're safe and it's not like other schools with high people traffic where you have bums randomly asking you for change, etc. (I went to undergrad in Chicago) It's clean and has a beautiful setting near a woodsy area, love it! The teachers are awesome, I've met some great people who are at the top of their field and are not only there to teach but honestly make sure you succeed. They provide you with the knowledge you need but also people skills and I've realized I've learned so much just in my first year about myself and what I need to do to improve in order to be the ideal health professional. I think Midwestern is an excellent school and if you're contemplating on going here, you should simply visit to see what they have to offer. I'm sure you will fall in love with it as much as I have :)
