I purchased my first new (to me) car as an adult and the day I picked it up it rained. It rained for a week as I tracked mud in and out. I then went on two consecutive road trips. I called Hunters Mobile Detailing based off reviews here and google to set an appointment because I wanted to get my new car looking newer for longer than the time it took to hand me my keys at dealership. We booked early March, and I did not get it in calendar correctly so I asked to reschedule and they were super accommodating. Day of, Wayne arrived promptly ready to go, and got to work. He was able to go a little extra mile and take out my grandson's car seat because I don't understand it. I asked ahead of time to clean the original floor mats that came with car so I could store them, and then also put in the new hard shell mats I purchased. I did purchase upgrade to leather condition which was nice option to have. One other thing: I miscommunicated in a way that made it seem like I wanted only the interior done so when I came out to see finished product my exterior was still dirty. Wayne and immediately took action and completed exterior. It was my mistake and they did not make me feel silly at all. The car looked amazing and no one can touch it but me for at least 24 hours. Hired to wash a small (19 foot) trailer. Offered to move trailer for easier access when worker arrived. He declined. Did not wash top of trailer, said he had no way to access. Also only washed only a portion of side near fence saying he could not access. Said he just normally worked on cars. When I complained to company, said they "couldn't do anything about it". I reached out for a quote on Yelp and received a response very quickly! We just needed two car seats cleaned, and they gave us an available appointment time and we were all set to go. They come to wherever you are which is so convenient! They arrived about 30 mins early, after double checking if it was okay to get there early too. They were done in about 45 minutes with both car seats which were super clean, including the car seat bases. Extremely friendly service and will definitely be recommending them to others. I found noticeable dirt, tar, and bugs still on the exterior, including the headlights and trunk area. Overall experience with detail was satisfactory except when the detailed damaged my factory truck decal while buffing my truck. I mentioned it and asked if he could come back on a later date to correct issue and I would even pay to have it fixed. I got no response. Someone at customer service reached out to try and sell me another detail service and when I mentioned it they just said there's no record of any text to the detailer. On 05/18/2022 he and another detailer caused more than $12,000 damage to my luxury SUV soon after starting to wash and wax my factory fresh vehicle that was less than a week old. Their gross lack of due professional care caused the damage. They placed a tent over my vehicle as a Sun shield for them. A mild wind quickly blew the tent off, which significantly damaged the sides and roof of my vehicle with many deep scratches. The damage was caused by: · Their inability to correctly assess the proper weight to hold the tent down (They added weights only after I pointed out their need). · Failure to have previously wrapped the legs of the tent in tape or material that would reduce the risk of scratching a vehicle if they misjudged adequate hold-down weights. · Gross inattention to the tent lifting off the car (failure to grab it before it lifted off). Their mistakes are what a novice detailer would commit, thus evidencing their lack of skill or care. I seriously question some of the positive reviews in Yelp for their company. Those customers were luckier than me, if they are real. They were slow admitting they had significantly damaged my SUV. Also, a body shop I met with noticed the detailer had not removed all their polish, thus evidencing the detailer tried to polish out the scratches. An experienced detailer would have known the scratches were too deep to buff out. Also, oddly, the detailer asked if we could pray after telling me about the damage. While I am not opposed to prayer at all in general, I am opposed to it being used as a manipulation device to remove guilt from themselves, which was their clear objective. Their prayer was focused on asking me to forgive them and not God forgiving them for their negligence, or God finding me a quality body shop. One of them also attempted to blame God by saying maybe God was testing me, which clearly is an attempt to absolve themselves of guilt, by blaming it on God. I found their conduct unprofessional and unethical in that they were too eager to divert blame from themselves and they grossly misrepresented their skills. Obviously, I fired them on the spot. Nevertheless, at least they had business insurance, which will help. While they claimed they only had time to wash the SUV, before the tent incident, if they did wash the SUV, it was a poor job. Everyone who has seen it, including the body shop, considered it a poor wash job and the damage they caused a sign of gross negligence. I must do all the work to find a body shop, talk to their insurance and rent a car. It will take more than a month to be on the body shop's schedule, obtain parts, and perform the significant repairs. Thus, the SUV will be an advertisement of the detailer's poor quality for some time. Additionally, their damage has permanently reduced the value of my factory fresh SUV because even when repaired the fact it was damaged reduces its value compared to a never repaired car in the eyes of buyers. Also, the new paint will never be as durable as the factory finish. I have used other detailers in the past and they were more professional and never damaged my car in the least, nor attempted to manipulate me. read more

I scheduled this detailing service to detail my car. I did receive a clean car after the detail with minor issues like residue left on the windows and in the interior leather. But overall, they did a good job. The reason for my bad review is they removed two items from my car and never put them back. I contacted them the next day and they promptly apologized for inconvenience but that was the only response I got. It's been over 3 weeks with multiple texts to him with no response. One of the items was an alumni jacket from my Alma mater that I want back yet they won't respond. I have also seen quotes for lower prices on the service they provided and will look elsewhere next time. I would really like my jacket back, Wayne! We recently moved and my 2016 Toyota Sienna doubled as a moving van as well as our primary mode of transportation. My van was pretty disgusting. I had random things everywhere and on top of that I have two small kids and we're always on the go. I let them eat in the car and there's usually a rogue french fry or food wrapper somewhere. I decided to get my van detailed after the move and it just so happened I spilled a latte and kimchi soup that same week. (Yuck, I know.) I requested an estimate through Yelp and Hunter's Mobile Detailing was quick to respond. He offered the most affordable estimate and was able to come out the next day. He and another gentleman came out to my house and worked on my van for about two and a half hours for an interior detail. My car looked better than when I first got it. The leather and dash sparkled and it smelled brand new. I'm very happy with how my car looked on the inside. The only thing I was unhappy about is that they left our garden hose on and unraveled. My husband discovered it was still on after it flooded a little around the spout. There was also trash around the car and lawn (albeit my trash from inside the car). We also had an issue with the estimate. The price he quoted me was different than what was listed on the website BUT he honored the lower quote and I really appreciate that. I reached out to Hunter mid April to detail my car for mid May. He told me what he charged and an extra $25 for travel fee. I texted Hunter end of April to let him know that I no longer need the service since I decided to sell my car. He asked to reschedule but I didn't need his service anymore. I asked for the refund of $25 travel fee.. he said that he can't refund me that because that was the deposit. He never told me this was not refundable over the phone.
