The weekend was so busy I was on hold with USAA for almost 15 min when a state trooper pulled up to see if we needed help. He called Schrader's and they said they would be on their way, so I dropped my roadside call to wait. Schrader's arrived after about 30 minutes and the tech went out of his way to make sure the kids were doing well and comfortable. Our best plan at the time was to tow to Wal-Mart and have my sister pick up my wife and kids and bring them the rest of the way to their place; I would spend the night in a local hotel to walk over to Wal-Mart and get it fixed first thing the next morning. However, the driver said they would have a tire available so we took it to their shop and they did have a tire. They popped off the tire and found that whatever I had hit had not only punctured the tire, it had blown a 1/2" hole in the wheel. Just when I was starting to accept our independence day weekend was blown, they realize they have a Nissan Rogue in their junkyard and go and get me a new wheel. So after about a 3 hour total delay, we are back on the road. Again: 8:30 pm Saturday July 3, these guys hook me up with a tow, a tire and a wheel, for a grand total of.... $150. I was expecting closer to $500 and to be honest, I would not have complained at all. Schrader's came through with help when we were really in a tough position. I cannot recommend them enough.

This is my second terrible experience in less than a year with Jackson tire. The first time I left my vehicle overnight so they could "start on it first thing the next morning" and was promised it would be done the following afternoon by close. When I stopped by just before close to pick it up, they had my vehicle torn apart and told me they had just started it 30 min prior to my arrival. I wound up going two more days without a vehicle, after which they still made me pay full price. They also put one of the pieces in wrong which caused me to have to replace the piece again 2 months later. Recently I went to get an inspection and was told by the lady behind the counter they could get me in, in an hour. I left and then returned an hour later. After setting 2 more hours I was finally given an inspection 3 hours after being told it would be one. This place was awesome when I was a kid, but I will never do business here again because of what this place has become. There is a reason I selected a star, because no stars is not an option, and this is what they earned. -That is all

From my phone, I headed to discounttire.com and ordered a pair of inexpensive tires, setting an appointment for the day after we arrived in Joplin. I was warmly welcomed to the store when I arrived and the service advisor tried hard to find the specific tires that I ordered. Couldn't find them. Thankfully, he had alternatives in stock and he honored the original price. A few minutes later, I headed across the street for a breakfast bite while the team worked away. A text message that the car was ready and I returned. All set and the work was complete. When you include the road hazard cover, the disposal fee, the this-that-and-the-other fee and such, it's not cheap. But they were thorough, friendly and I am confident in the new tires on my daughter's SUV. At least now if she hits another curb, the tires will be replaceable at this or any other Discount Tire. However, after attempting to get a procedure on my car finished I realized that the store was heavily limited in their abilities. I also think that certain employees are less reliable than other ones as what Skylar told me was significant different and less helpful, I would actually dread going up and seeing that I was in line for him to help me. I would wait for hours, for my car to get up on the rack, just to be told a new thing was wrong with my car and I would have to fix it and then put it back on the rack to have something else wrong.
