From my phone, I headed to discounttire.com and ordered a pair of inexpensive tires, setting an appointment for the day after we arrived in Joplin. I was warmly welcomed to the store when I arrived and the service advisor tried hard to find the specific tires that I ordered. Couldn't find them. Thankfully, he had alternatives in stock and he honored the original price. A few minutes later, I headed across the street for a breakfast bite while the team worked away. A text message that the car was ready and I returned. All set and the work was complete. When you include the road hazard cover, the disposal fee, the this-that-and-the-other fee and such, it's not cheap. But they were thorough, friendly and I am confident in the new tires on my daughter's SUV. At least now if she hits another curb, the tires will be replaceable at this or any other Discount Tire. Traveling through the area and had an issue with our rear right tire losing pressure. Stopped in to check it out and they took me in right away. They knew I was traveling through and check all four tires to ensure we didn't have issues during the remainder of our travel back to Texas. The staff was awesome! Every experience I have with Discount tire has been very satisfying. This visit was no different! Had a split sidewall on one of my tires, and substantial ozone damage (cracking) on the remaining 3 tires. They did a really good job of working with the tire manufacturer processing the warranty so the only money that I was out was the road hazard transfer charge to my new set of different brand replacement tires. The staff here is always courteous, and quick to help you. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful while answering any questions. Quick and friendly. Had a leak in one of my tires that I noticed one morning. Drove up without an appointment, and in less than an hour they got me all taken care of. Turned out I'd driven over a screw. They fixed it and sent me on my way, no charge. HIGHLY Recommend!!! I was traveling across the country when my tire sensor went off. I had just entered into Missouri from Oklahoma and found Discount Tire in Joplin. They were absolutely fantastic. All of the guys in the shop were super friendly and I felt very welcome even during these strange COVID times. I was able to stay in my vehicle the entire time they worked on my tire. They did indeed find a nail in my back tire. They removed it, plugged the tire and patched from the inside. I was then shocked when Ben came to tell me to have a safe trip and told me there was NO CHARGE! I couldn't believe it. I had been dealing with a slow leak in one of my tires for several weeks and got tired of having to put air in it 2 or 3 times a week, so I called them and got a same day appointment. They found a screw in the tire, patched the tire, gaged the air in all 4 tires, checked the tread depth and age of the tires. They also let me know my tires had some dry rot which I was aware of, and let me know they would beat any price on any tires any time, even Sam's or Costco's sale price! I've also purchased trailer tires from them before and received fast, professional, and courteous service. These guys are definitely on their "A" game and care about what they are doing! Picked up a used motorhome in Illinois, spent the night in Joplin and woke to a flat on the inside dually. Made it the mile to this Discount Tire and they immediately jumped on it. The wheels were pretty much rusted on and it took three of them about 40 minutes just to get both of the tires off. It was hot and humid and the sun was shining on them, but they never slowed down and never complained, they just showed determination to get it fixed. I was out of there in just over an hour. I know had this been the Discount Tire by my house, they would have looked at it and told me to go somewhere else. These guys are great! By far the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time! We had a blowout in our RV on a trip from Illinois to Arizona. Stopped by Wal-Mart because they opened at 7 and was told no one could look at it for 3 hours. I then proceeded to call Discount Tire which wasn't suppose to open for another 45 minutes and someone answered the phone. I was told to come on in and park by the last door. He came out and talked to us well before they were set to open.
