Went to get an inspection for my brakes and routers, while there, they had MANY people dissatisfied with their service for being blatant thieves. A guy came in for his brakes and routers as well, they fix more on his car than he requested and charged him for it and the labor he didn't agree to nor ask for. He ended up paying over $900 on something that is an entry level mechanic job. He was not the only customer upset, there were PLENTY more to speak about. My son had a tire blow out when he hit a pothole exiting I44 at Rangeline Rd. He was towed to this Firestone location. After spending the night in his car in their parking lot (it was after closing when he arrived) they jumped right on his car first thing. Unfortunately, his is an All Wheel Drive vehicle and so they recommended purchasing 4 tires. Knowing this was an emergency situation, they gave us every possible discount and my son was out the door for less than $425. Amazing! Thank you so much for all your help and for not taking advantage of a bad situation like the Albuquerque NM Firestone location did, not 24 hours later. I told Michael at this Firestone Complete Auto Care store exactly that I needed. Michael at the service desk tells me after taking my afternoon on this appointment and my $10 for his opinion on my vehicle. I was clear on the service I wanted and was quoted over this phone. Michael even had to show me an example on the wall of a different tire that it's okay for all the tread to not go the same way. I explained to Michael I did not receive the services I wanted but instead a referral of what I should do with my car. Argumentative Michael said, "come back!" I won't come back knowing arrogant men work. I guess they think I don't know what I'm talking about. I'll gladly take my business to a local tire shop and give someone local my money. Rather than a corporate tire store selling only one brand of tire in the mall parking lot. My experience here was a joke and these mechanics could give a hoot about pleasantries. My car broke down 35 miles south of Joplin. I had to have my car hauled into Joplin and picked Firestone Complete Auto Care as it was one of the few places that was still open on Christmas Eve. They were due to close in an hour due to the Holliday! But they went above and beyond assisting me and were able to repaired my car instead of me having to wait until two days later. I got my oil changed there on October 10 and when i went to get another oil change on December 23 i went to good year and they told me that the last person who had done my oil change had pulled my drain plug and caused damage which caused me to need a new oil pan and when i went to Firestone they told me it was nothing they could do even though they were the ones who broke it in the first place. The manager named JJ or something like that was very rude to me and refused me service that they promised me a week before that. I've read reviews about this same incident happening at the same location so I believe someone needs to come in and investigate this store for doing their customers wrong. read more

First and last time I ever use Firestone in Joplin. Called to set up an appointment for a simple state inspection on January 30th. Rep said they had slots for 3,4, & 5 pm, I asked for the four pm. He got my address, phone and info, and even told me he'd note that I didn't want mail ads. I came in around four and they told me I had no appointment and my info wasn't in the system. They said they would "squeeze me in". So I went down to the mall a few yards away and waited. An hour passed and I had gotten no call, so I called them. They said they had dialed the wrong number (not sure if my fault or theirs), but my car was done. I asked if they would please send someone to pick me up because I was in a mall store further away now, the rep said he would get someone to drive down there in a black Silverado. I headed for the entrance minutes later and waited in the 18 degree cold for a black Silverado which never came--when I called the rep said he'd check on it, but after waiting longer, nothing. And when I called back, he said the guy had his truck and he couldn't reach him. After another several minutes I was freezing and couldn't keep waiting, so I made the hike up to firestone myself. By the time I got up there I was coughing and my knee was trying to dislocate. I told the rep the Silverado never came, and I have asthma and bad joints and was hurting and wheezing from the cold--but the rep just pointed out the window at the black Silverado which was apparently *just now* leaving Firestone. 20 minutes later. I was obviously hurting and upset but the rep never acknowledged it and never apologized. The two stars I've left are for the completed inspection, and they checked my tire pressure when I asked. Sadly, everyone else I have mentioned this to said they too have had bad experiences with Firestone and will not return. Update: Firestone called me, two weeks later. To say I had an appointment for 4pm February 13th, but they didn't have any techs available for that time, so would I do it at 3pm instead. Even if I had scheduled the appointment for this date (Nope, they miss-scheduled my appt for the 30th), they were going to make me change the time! Got a flat tire outside of Joplin on my way through and stopped in to see if they could fix it. Had been driving all day and they were about to close. Not only did they fix my flat but they checked all my fluids and topped them off since I had a ways yet to go. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Oh where to start, purchased tires with a 50000 mile waranty from this location. Tires wore extremely quickly and so took them back to have replaced. Even though only had 5000 miles on them they still would not honor the warranty. Had to buy new tires. Got a screw in New tires and they would not fix it. Literally was told they were too busy. I paid for this service. It seems once they have your money they couldn't care less about service unless it means being able to charge you more. I hate this place, and I don't like using that word but they are slow to do anything(took them 2 hours for an oil change not an exaggeration) and they are more focused on upcharges than service. I lament because this small town doesn't have enough other choices. read more

So disappointed. Went in to have an oil change and figure out why my car was making a "fan" noise. After being promised it would all be done in 1 hour, I sat for 3 waiting for my car. They weren't busy, just lazy. Oil change went as planned as far as I know. However, the idiot tech told me if was my radio frequency. Nope. Made the tech get in my car to hear the noise again. Agreed that it was not the damn radio. Was then told it was either a lifter of I threw a rod. Sent me to a Kia dealer for absolutely no reason. After being so fed up with my entire day spent dealing with morons I popped the hood again. There was CLEARLY a hose that was not in its hole. It was obviously the problem. Drove back to Firestone and was pissed. Showed them what hose I was talking about (apparently they had no idea what or where it was) as I'm showing them I pop the damn thing in myself. I am so pissed and annoyed that my entire day off was spent telling these grown men how to do their own job. Please save yourself the time and drama and go somewhere else.
