The weekend was so busy I was on hold with USAA for almost 15 min when a state trooper pulled up to see if we needed help. He called Schrader's and they said they would be on their way, so I dropped my roadside call to wait. Schrader's arrived after about 30 minutes and the tech went out of his way to make sure the kids were doing well and comfortable. Our best plan at the time was to tow to Wal-Mart and have my sister pick up my wife and kids and bring them the rest of the way to their place; I would spend the night in a local hotel to walk over to Wal-Mart and get it fixed first thing the next morning. However, the driver said they would have a tire available so we took it to their shop and they did have a tire. They popped off the tire and found that whatever I had hit had not only punctured the tire, it had blown a 1/2" hole in the wheel. Just when I was starting to accept our independence day weekend was blown, they realize they have a Nissan Rogue in their junkyard and go and get me a new wheel. So after about a 3 hour total delay, we are back on the road. Again: 8:30 pm Saturday July 3, these guys hook me up with a tow, a tire and a wheel, for a grand total of.... $150. I was expecting closer to $500 and to be honest, I would not have complained at all. Schrader's came through with help when we were really in a tough position. I cannot recommend them enough.

When the mechanic looked he said he wouldn't advise using the 12 ply and suggested getting 14 ply. They didn't have them in stock. I was warmly welcomed to the store when I arrived and the service advisor tried hard to find the specific tires that I ordered. Couldn't find them. Thankfully, he had alternatives in stock and he honored the original price. A few minutes later, I headed across the street for a breakfast bite while the team worked away. A text message that the car was ready and I returned. All set and the work was complete. When you include the road hazard cover, the disposal fee, the this-that-and-the-other fee and such, it's not cheap. But they were thorough, friendly and I am confident in the new tires on my daughter's SUV. At least now if she hits another curb, the tires will be replaceable at this or any other Discount Tire. Complete scams and tries to take advantage of people (especially women) and take their money. This tire center has been a mess for years. Recently needed 4 tires and they were the highest of…read morethe tire stores in town. Carried in 2 tire/wheels to get balanced. Weights looked terrible and wheel came back covered in grease (not my grease- they were carried in). Yesterday tried to get 4 new tire pressure sensors installed (basically valve stems) and they broke off an old one, damaged a new one installing it, quit and put on the work order they could not do them because they did not have the correct tool to take off a tire valve stem (in a tire store!). Department manager gave 3 different explanations, none matched the work order and I was given back 3 of my 4 new parts. They had attached one of their valve stems to my new (broken) pressure sensor and refused to do the rest. Manager made no attempt to resolve the issues.
