We weren't able to set up for the wedding until a few hours before and that was because they didn't have anything ready. We had to clean the place before setting up because nothing had been cleaned. They had my deposit for over four months and I paid the entire balance 30 days before the wedding and yet they still did NOT have the place ready even though I was assured it would be. Because we had to do all of the cleaning and then the setting up I missed out on being present while my daughter got ready. I didn't get to help her into her dress. I didn't get to make memories or take pictures. I was robbed out of many things that day. Also, family stayed on the property and paid full price despite dirty rooms that were t even ready to be checked into until late evening and no hot water the next day. The website promises available breakfast and yet there was no breakfast and the restaurant was closed. They were told it was seasonal; the website says NOTHING about being seasonal. For the first 3 months after booking the ranch for the wedding, I could NOT get anyone to communicate with me. Many emails went unanswered as well as voicemails. When the one and I guess only staff member did finally communicate with me it was to tell me that an entire crew was getting the event center ready. Well that turned out to be one of many lies to come!!!! Nothing was ever done to get the place ready until we did it ourselves, the day of the wedding!!!! Also, we booked the "event center " sight unseen and was promised pictures on many occasions. Never once got any pictures. Then when we finally get there and are taken to the "event center," it turns out to be a huge garage, with no heat or running water. The bathroom facilities were several yards away and if turns out they were dirty and didn't have any towels to wipe hands on. We were out and out lied to many times and I will NEVER recommend this place, at least not with the current staff!!!!!!!

We were greeted with a wonderful smile and seated, then Olivia was quick to introduce herself as our server. The dining area was very comfortable with plenty of soft light and the walls displayed what looked like wonderful artwork from a local artist, nicely presented. Olivia started to take our drink order but we were hungry and ready to go to the next level. We asked about local favorites, After highlighting some things on the menu, she described the special of the day, a bacon wrapped sirloin. I was sold. I asked her if she would recommend a pairing from the bar, a cocktail. She suggested an Old Fashion with my steak and explained why. In short, my meal came eloquently plated with my steak perfectly seasoned and cooked ( HOLY SMOKES!! GREAT BEEF, PERFECT SEASONING AND PERFECTLY COOKED!!) My Old Fashion prepared with Woodford Reserve, was by far the greatest Old Fashioned i've had in a long time, probably the best ever, and it paired perfectly with that steak. Not at all pretentious but definitely 1st class. spend the very few extra dollars and pass up those hamburgers and barbecue places. And check this place out! Perfectly staffed with professional yet friendly staff, A GREAT chef and definitely an OUTSTANDING bartender. Sadly I was too full for dessert, but I will definitely go back tomorrow before I leave town. 7 's

Drinks are still awesome, service is still amazing, but gosh did the prices go up from last year. 40% or more, unfortunately, we took a couple that isn't rolling in cash and we felt super bad. We decided to pay for all of us, since we all got hit by sticker shock. I totally understand inflation, the need to pay better wages, if this would have gone up 10-20% I'd understand, but that's big city prices. I unfortunately have to call it out, otherwise, people with a smaller budget hoping to get nice value again might be stuck with a much larger bill than anticipated -like us. Steak dinners are still great here, service is still amazing... but not sure if we would come back again.

As I sipped my beer, I watched Jessica host one of her Sip and Paint get together. Everyone there seemed to be having a great time - lots of laughter, lots of smiles, and lots of happy people. Afterwards, I spoke to Jessica and said that I would love to try this but that I was a "can't draw a stick man" level artist. I also said that I was impressed with how well everyone's paintings seemed to have turned out. Jessica encouraged me to attend if I had the chance (I am in Cody on vacation for a couple weeks, so I did indeed have the opportunity), and that I just might surprise myself. So, despite my reticence, I made reservations for a family member and myself for the following week. When we arrived, the space was all ready to go. Tables, chairs, tabletop easels, paint brushes, a cup of water (these are water based acrylics), and a tray of all of the needed paints to complete our American masterpieces. Although the night's basic idea was an American flag based sunset with a Buffalo, We were encouraged to use our artistic creativity and to "paint whatever you feel - express yourself." I stuck with the Buffalo. Jessica patiently takes you through the steps of the painting with the brushes to use, the paints used for each step, the blending, and the brush techniques to use to get the different effects. She uses a headset and sound system so she is easily heard by all. My big fear was creating the Buffalo. I was afraid it would look like anything but a Buffalo. Who'd of thought that with just a couple of circles, an oval, and some basic angles, you can build one. We were given excellent and well-paces step by step directions and suggestions as we painted. While there is a finished example prominently displayed elevated up front, Jessica also (effortlessly it seemed) created one as she demonstrated the step. By the time it was done, there were big Buffalos, small Buffalos, flying and levitating Buffalos, branded Buffalos, and skies filled with stars and moons and comets. Just like the week before, our two hours were filled with laughter, smiles, and a lot of people surprised at how well their paintings turned out. And believe me, no one was more surprised than me. What a fun time - a great beer, a chance to meet new new people, an encouraging and charming instructor, and a result that was 100 times better than I had expected. If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and go. I guarantee you will love this.

No matter how long your stay, Cody Shuttle takes care of the details, offering convenient pickup and drop-off at your campground's site. The day we spent with Cody Shuttle, especially our guide Heather, exceeded all our expectations. We set our sights on encountering wildlife and exploring the park, especially the northern part of Yellowstone, having already visited popular spots like Old Faithful. Before we even reached Yellowstone, we marveled at the picturesque landscapes and visited two quaint Montana towns, Cooke City and Silver Gate. We even entered the park via the less-traveled Northeast entrance. Heather was a fountain of knowledge, pointing out wildlife, identifying bird calls, explaining geological features, and offering insights about local plant species. We knew we were in for a treat when we saw a majestic bull moose, its massive antlers on full display. Heather had binoculars and a scope on hand, enabling us to appreciate the wildlife in incredible detail. As we journeyed through Lamar Valley -- the "American Serengeti" -- Heather was always the first to spot the Bison. We saw a vast herd of these "American Buffalo" and their calves often referred to as "red dogs" due to their color, roaming as far as the eye could see. Pronghorn Antelopes were also seen mingling with the herd, a sight that was a poignant reminder of nature hundreds of years ago! Throughout the day, we saw more of Yellowstone's wildlife -- Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, and Elk, often with their young. We enjoyed a fresh and tasty deli lunch at a hotel in Mammoth Springs, a historic district formerly known as "Fort Yellowstone." Heather shared the evolving story of Mammoth Springs. We ended the day with not one, but two Black Bear sightings at different points. We even joked with Heather about arranging a Grizzly Bear appearance, and as we drove on Sylvan Pass towards the East Entrance, there it was, a massive Grizzly Bear! It seemed like every wildlife sighting was perfectly timed, although we know it was pure luck. But we'd like to think that Heather was our lucky charm! By the way, Cathy and Alvin, the owners of Cody Shuttle, are truly dedicated to their service. We met them during our tour; they were exploring the park on a holiday, looking for ways to enhance their tour plans.
