If we can give 0 stars, we would. Ralph Hunt is abysmal. His receptionist even worst. We had our dog for 8 years and due to unforseen circumstsances, we had to find someone to adopt our dog. We didn't want to give him to a shelter, but wanted to find him a happy home with other animals he can interact with too. After many interviews, we found a woman who had her own pets and seemed lovely. She had taken the dog to R Hunt for treatment of a possible infection because he peed a lot. She only had him for 3 days and we spoke about this situation and that it could be a UTI. R Hunt, the vet, instead of waiting for the blood work to come back or waiting for the history from previous vets to come through, prescribed a high dose of antibiotics which caused the dog to have a seizure - which he does NOT have a history of. We got a call from the woman who adopted him to say that our dog died. When we called the vet to ask about the events and what occurred, he did admit to giving a high dose of antibiotics, but would not release any information about what antibiotic, etc He became irate, rude and even screamed at my daughter. We just wanted clarity about what occurred so we can have closure. We were told that we couldn't have access to the dog and no more information was forthcoming. When my daughter's partner called to speak to R Hunt, he continued to scream at him and hung up on him too. I, as mother, decided to call the office and speak to them calmly, but the receptionist would not put me through to Dr Hunt saying he was busy all day and then she proceeded to be rude and insisted that she could not speak to me right now and hung up the phone too! Obviously, they know they have done something wrong and won't even address anything with us. Instead of cooperating and also realizing that we have been traumatized that the dog we had for over 8 years had just died, and all we want is closure and to see our dear dog one final time before he is put to rest; they just yelled at us and hung up! No compassion.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS VET AT ALL! No heart and no principles. read more
