I knew I needed the experience of this Hospital and these doctors. From my first call there the office staff guided me through the process, who I would see, and set my mind at ease. Five Stars are not sufficient to express my gratitude for the training, knowledge and compassion I was greeted with. My questions were answered, and I knew I had come to the right hospital for this very detailed dental procedure. I will never be able to thank my Doctor there completely for the time he gave me and all the staff with the assistance with the bill as well. This place is where you want to bring your four pawed children- reasonable and fair - caring - you will find peace of mind and a family of professionals you can count on! Bless you guys!!

DO NOT GO HERE! We…read morehave been going here for 3 years now and they know both of our dogs pretty well. They know our 9 year old mini American Eskimo has bad reactions to vaccines. They pushed the vaccines of us and didn't pre-care for our one that is sensitive. She had a severe reaction to the vaccine and has been pooping/puking up straight blood for hours. We took her to the hospital and they are keeping her overnight. The vets at the hospital said the vaccines are unnecessary for these 2 dogs because they don't go to dog daycare, but the Strawberry Hill animal hospital continues to push them. This place is a money grab and not only did we pay $600 for shots they didn't need, we now have to pay $2,000- 3,000 for an overnight visit. Never going to this place again, highway robbery and we might lose part of our family tonight.

From the moment we arrived, the ER team was compassionate, caring, and incredibly attentive. There was 100% transparency on pricing range based on diagnosis and treatment plan. They treated both our dog and our family with so much kindness while providing thoughtful, high-quality care during a very stressful time for us. What stood out even more was watching how they handled every client and pet who came through the door while we were there. Despite the obvious stress and urgency of an emergency room, they remained patient, compassionate, and professional with everyone. It's clear that they genuinely care about each animal and family they are helping. You never want to need an emergency vet, but knowing there are people this dedicated and committed to doing everything they can to provide excellent care makes all the difference. We are so thankful for Dr Natalie and the entire VCA ER team and the care they provided to our dog

I called VCA in Norwalk to get contact information for Dr. Wilcox, who is supposed to be an amazing…read moreophthalmologist. It's my understanding that he recently left VCA. The lady I spoke to in reception told me that he was no longer involved with the practice and she could not help me at all with getting in contact with him. And oddly, she repeated it several times in a weird and gleeful way. I mentioned that it was regard to an eye emergency and she could not care less, and then disconnected my call. Draw your own conclusions from that interaction, but would you really want to try to get help from these people during an emergency? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. PS- I called a local veterinarian in the area and was able to get the contact information for Dr. Wilcox immediately. And they could not have been nicer about it!

Ive unfortunately had to change my rating of a Cats Place after being a loyal customer for 7+…read moreyears. I've seen a shift in the way the place is staffed - the new staff seemed to care less and less. I've ignored signs (being that I myself work at an animal hospital - the burnout is real) but the fact that clients pay you to take care of their fur babies is a service you commit to provide. My boarding experience earlier this year- I noted that medication for my sick asthmatic cat was not given by the staff due to the fact that he "looked stressed". It would have been okay since they take your phone number in case of an emergency and promise to call if anything comes up. Instead I took him home, coughing and wheezing after 4-5 days away to look at the inhaler count to see it hadn't moved. I wasn't notified at pickup and had to call them to find out why. The funny thing is all the times we have used them to board, he could come back sick and we always used to think it was a change of environment. When I complained Jessica (management) was really great and compassionate and apologized essentially for the mishap and informed me that they will have protocols in place to tell owners when things like this happen. That's great, right? Except that it shouldn't take a mistake to have that plan in place. That should be the FIRST thing you do. I ended up having him admitted in another facility for 3+ days in Emergency until he was back to normal. All in all, it's a clean facility with only cats which is a major plus. However, I don't think we will be returning anymore. For those of you who board your pets, make sure that meds are being done when they are supposed to be done whether it be marking the bottle or noting the counts.

The rudest most despicable people I could ever imagine. After years as a customer and thousands of…read moredollars spent on our cats care they left us high and dry with no treatment plan and no medications for our extremely anemic cat in her most critical moments. To add insult to injury, they threatened to call the police on my fiancé after she called 4 times begging for the vet to call us back or put in a prescription before closing time. I would not recommend my worst enemies bring their cats here. All they care about is taking your money, of which they managed to extract thousands from us, but when it comes to the actual care of your animals they could not care less. After being told we were no longer "a fit" at this vet, we made the decision to bring our cat to the local emergency vet for a second opinion. Lo and behold, she was diagnosed with feline leukemia, which she was also likely suffering from the last THREE TIMES we brought her to A Cat's Place since last April for the same symptoms, where the vet insisted on several occasions that our cats diarrhea and low grade fever were due to stress. Unbelievable. Who licensed these people to practice medicine on animals?

My 6 year old Australian Shepherd and Beagle mix suffers from chronic itching and dry skin along…read morewith ear infections. All of this began after she was spayed at 6 months and developed a staff infection. I followed traditional medical treatment for years using steroids, creams and shots which only helped on a temporary basis and her condition continued to worsen. I then changed her diet to a raw and grain free food and began a more holistic approach to her care. I saw improvement but not rapidly enough. After reading about the benefits of Chinese herbs and acupuncture, I searched for a veterinarian that used these tools in their practice. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Gurevich to treat my dog, and the results so far are more than favorable. My observatioan of Dr. Gurevich is that she is a very knowledgeable and dedicated young woman who clearly has a great love for her profession and the animals that she treats. She examined my dog and reviewed all her medical records and stated that she would work along with my preferred vet if I wanted her to. After her evaluation, she prescribed two Chinese herbs to help with her skin and inflammation and then performed acupuncture and laser which also treats her skin and paws. After two series of treatments and several weeks on the herbs, my dogs coat is beautiful, and her constant licking of her paws has subsided to where the fur is starting to grow back. Her energy level is astounding to me! She has the energy of a puppy! The best part is that Dr. Gurevich comes to my home to treat my dog which has completely eliminated the stress and anxiety factor of going to the veterinary clinic! I am so pleased and grateful that I have found Dr. Anna Gurevich. I highly recommend her services for alternative therapies in treating your pet.
