I responded back, how rude and asked what he found confusing or difficult. He responded with another really mean, nasty, uncalled for email. I am unsure if it is because I'm a woman, or whether he's just no longer fit to be dealing with customers with large jobs. I recommend skip them. Sad, because they had done small projects for me in the past. If you do use them, only for 1 singular project at a time. However this did not inmediately cut power to the house so I was left very confused and stressed as to what one should or should not do when a live wire still supplying electricity is blowing/lying around the backyard - since 311 and Xcel were both, after long wait times, rather unhelpful upon hearing that I still had power - and apparently unconcerned that said power was being delivered by a downed wire. Sigh. Enter Ashley, who quickly replied after I sent a Hail Yelp message. Finch was not the only responding electrician who visited that day - so I am trying to detail in this review what they did well, and why I was able to proceed with Finch over the other companies. Ashley called and was very helpful in explaining my options with scheduling the consultation; having dropped too many hundoz to have a downed tree chopped, I was stressed about springing for the upfront cost of asking multiple electricians to come and evaluate the storm damage and competitively quote out repairs, but once Eric came (the last of the electricians) it was done. Finch's automated text update system also confirmed schedules, updated ETAs, and sent a brief bio and headshot of which crewmembers were assigned on-site. All of this communication was pleasantly novel to me and, I gotta say, despite it being mostly automated, it went a long way toward knowing what and whom to expect, in the wake of a storm while juggling many contractors' visits and feeling this-old-house-noob-gonna-get-exploited stress. Eric was very thorough, braving cobwebs in the cellar to make sure the electrical panel was not also damaged. In a very accessible manner, Eric was able to explain where my system could be modernized and brought to code, and he was patient with my (many) questions. Finch's estimate and explanation of needed repairs was detailed, and drawn up / sent the same day, which helped me get the ball rolling on a very opaque (to me) and mystifying insurance claims process. Hearing that I was about to tarp the house meter (which had a gaping hole where the mast had been ripped off) Eric helpfully applied some mystery goop patch instead. Finch helped me track my claim process (Id never navigated that previously...) and Eric accommodated the insurance adjuster's site visit into his schedule. Will update review as the work progresses but I mainly want to emphasize that in all (but not only) the ways in which prompt responsiveness, professionalism, and follow through in the wake of a storm mean that the early bird (Finch?) electrician often gets the work worm, I didnt feel pounced or preyed upon by this crew.

In my case, they sent their senior guy (Joe, master plumber, electrician, everything you can think of), and he suggested waiving the trip fee in exchange for the hour he spent diagnosing my Daikin heat pump communicating system (zones, zone board, etc.). That was $195, and I thought it was fair. The fix was mostly to adjust my zone board directly rather than through the thermostat, and also to analyze my plumbing needs for other projects. Nice guy, knowledgeable, I enjoyed talking with him. For the HVAC work, Joe had to call Andy, who is their Daikin pro and duct engineer. Andy knows what he's talking about, more than any other HVAC person I've talked to (4Front installed my system in a mess for the previous owner, Binder HVAC charged me a lot for wasted time because they didn't understand Daikin systems, while Twin Cities Heating and Air, Midwest Heating and Cooling, and Golden Valley Heating and Air all had no idea what to do and had weird suggestions). If you have a Daikin system, ask for Andy. He tuned my zone board, fixed some miserable duct work and leaks, and better yet taught me about how things work beyond the mysterious Daikin "algorithm." He was patient with my questions and suggestions, too. This work was about $400, which is way less than the $3,000 I got bilked out of at one of the other places. It took a few hours. For the plumbing, they sent Frank, who is another senior guy specializing in plumbing. Frank worked fast, was courteous, and did a few extra little jobs for me when I asked for advice on them, such as greasing a fused spigot and dabbing some silicone on a hole in the shower frame. He also educated me about my water system, including winterizing and shutoff procedures. For the plumbing work, Frank installed a water mixing valve and also terminated a leaking pipe in the ceiling. This work was about $600. It took a few hours. In both cases, they brought along an apprentice, each of whom was equally courteous and attentive. It was very endearing. For billing, there are a couple of things they do. 1) the charge is the price. They don't do the most granular breakdown of costs in the invoice, but they do calculate it and you can ask what the calculation is. It is not an estimate or a minimum charge, more like a bid. The nice thing about that is that it will cost that and no more, which means they are happy to stick around and help here and there without charging for time. For larger projects, I'm not sure if they would charge the lesser of the bid vs labor time, but I would hope so. I haven't needed them for something big yet. For example, Pulse Electric is an electrician service that never charges more than their bid, and charges for time if it's less. I think Krinkie's would just charge the bid, but I got the sense they would be reasonable if, say, a 3-day project took only 1 day. 2) They have a subscription service that seemed like a no-brainer. For $20/m, they will come out twice a year to tune your furnace/AC, and you also get 20% off all other services, which paid for itself with our plumbing and ductwork needs. Use these guys! I love having them as my go-to people now.

Said he would contact us within half hour with price of board and time frame for purchasing. I would need to sign something for them to actually obtain the board. Never heard from him the rest of Friday, and as of Monday 10:17 am still haven't so contacted a Bryant dealer who can come out tomorrow and will replace the board if necessary under warranty. The problem was not with the timing but with word play and laziness of the repair person. Kept asking "Was the equipment working when they left". And what do you expect me to do at 9:00PM at night. After several attempts he finally admitted they guarantee their work but only on the following Monday. The repairperson enjoyed using generalizations , making statements that had no appearent relation to the request for service. Basically the repair person was absolute they would not be repairing it over the weekend even though he was on call. The conversation lead to me asking if he enjoyed all this word play to which his answer was a definite Yes. He ended the call after his smart ass answers, by promptly hanging up. Clearly he was not enjoying his word play any further. We have used this company to replace three homes Heating and A/C and, we believed they are a responsible company and that the Owner as of this writing is unaware of the abuse from his weekend tech(s). Two attempts to get straight answers from the same tech were made. The one made by a women was aggressive , demeaning and upsetting. The discussion with a male was wordy, out of context and appeared designed to elicit anger. Not getting the anger from the male he hung up. I would think twice before engaging this company on any home where there are elderly, disabled, or home bound young children present. I would also encourage that the male of the family be the one to approach any tech or representative of the company. They have a preference to treat women as second class citizens
