If you enjoy Popeye's chicken sandwich, then you're going to LOVE Mary Brown's chicken sandwich…read more It's hands-down my favourite chicken sandwich right now. The chicken they use is perfectly cooked and moist and the batter is so light and crispy. They even put a pickle slice on the top of the bun like it's a crown (or more like a tiara). Speaking of the bun, MB also gets this right with their soft and cushiony bun that melts in your mouth with the succulent chicken. Honestly, this is one of the best burger buns ive had in a while! I bought a couple of their chicken sandwiches for $4.99 each as their Monday special. Another customer was mentioning how their special used to be $3.99. That's inflation for ya. I also tried their 2 piece combo with potato wedges (on a different day. I'm not a pig). The 2 piece was really tasty however not as mind blowing as their chicken sandwich IMO. Their wedges are actually amazing with their high amounts of powder seasoning. It's like the Doritos of wedges when it comes to more seasoning. The insides were potatoey which was a nice contrast when chewed with the crispy flavourful exterior. This is a fairly new location. I'm surprised no one reviewed them yet. They're located in the Longo's plaza, across the street from McDonalds.

Came here with my boyfriend on a whim for a nice date. Made a great choice! This place is a gem…read more Ordered two baskets of the fried chicken, an order of the spicy rice cakes, and an order of fries. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomaches but the food was so delicious! Highly recommend coming here. What I really like is that you can get alcohol with your food. Fried chicken and alcohol pair really nice together :). Service was great! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and it was a very nice vibe with Kpop music playing. We were even given some free cheese corn and some sides with our meal :) (maybe because we ordered too much food!) Great experience!

Service is a little slow but that's okay, they had a lot of take out orders. They have some combos which would save u some money. We came with a party of 8 so we got to try a lot of different flavours! We ordered all boneless chicken. Cheesling and the one with corn(forgot its name) tasted pretty similar. Got galbi, sweet and spicy, onion, and supreme. Supreme was my fav. Rose rice cake was really good and chewy, not too spicy. However I found the chicken to have too much batter. Compared to chicken plus aurora, their chicken is a lot juicer and bigger with less batter and also cheaper so don't think I'll be coming back ..

Went for lunch around an hour after their open time and got seated right away. It is not a large…read morerestaurant though (can seat maybe 24 depending on group sizes). Since the weather was so warm, we wanted something refreshing and not too heavy, so ordered 물냉면 (Cold Noodles) and 산채비빔밥 (Wild Vegetable Bibimbap). Each of our dishes came with their own servings of 반찬 (banchan side dishes): 잡채 japchae noodles, 깍두기 kkakdugi diced radish kimchi, and cabbage salad. Both mains tasted exactly how we were expected them to, neither with overpowering flavours, saltiness -- balanced well. Server came around mid-meal to ask if everything was good and if we needed any refills of the banchan. There's a 5% discount if you pay with cash, but they do accept card payment as well. Parking spot was very easy to find at that time, but even if at a busier time, you can still find parking in the plaza.

Korean food that warms the soul…read more We were excited to visit Bap.Zip in Richmond Hill on a frigid cold day. They feature a simple menu of typical Korean food from hot soup to bibimbap, Korean fried chicken and charcoal grill. The shared meal options are a bit limited but each individual portion comes with a set of different banchan side dishes on a meal tray. The flavours were a tad mild in the donkatsu and the potato in pork bone soup, in contrast to the in-you-face seasoning that I'm used to in Korean food. Pork bone soup ($19.50) was piled high with a sizzling hot broth and 3 sides that surprisingly didn't include kimchi cabbage. King donkatsu ($23.50) featured fried pork cutlet in a truly huge wingspan topped with an aromatic curry sauce; a portion that was enough for two meals. Since one menu item is required per guest, we also had the Kids Special ($14.50) with katsu & bulgogi served in a fun toy car. The dining interior vibes were decent with tables spaced out along each side wall. But the corridor to the restroom and the rooms themselves were messy and dirty which detract from the vibes. Service was friendly with occasional follow-ups and the place got busy during the latter part of our weekend lunch meal. Skip it or hit it? It's good Korean fare in the area. Just note pricing is higher than I'm used to elsewhere albeit with good portions that made up for it.

It was one of many businesses that got me through this weird, uncertain time. For the last few months, I got myself reacquainted with Aurora. Well over a decade ago, I frequented Aurora often. I'm not sure why I stopped visiting, but it has been great returning every few weeks. While rediscovering Aurora, I have noticed this Rudy for a while. It used to be a Starbucks that I frequented often back in the day. It's also nearby a Gong Cha that I love. A couple Saturdays ago, after running a bunch of errands, I felt like lunch. I remembered this place and drove up the 404 to get here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at roughly 3 pm. I parked and walked in. I needed to use the washroom, so I made a left to use it. There are two single stalls. The door handle tells you whether it's vacant or occupied. The one that I used before and after my meal was clean. I headed over to the counter to place my order. I got Sarah, who was super patient and friendly. I looked at the combos menu. I went with the rude dude combo. The rude dude is a double cheeseburger. I got it with bacon, which meant that my burger was tattooed. I liked that I got a small poutine as the side because the poutine at Rudy's is excellent. I also got a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She let me know when my food was ready. I found a table by the wall with windows. I filled my cup with ice and Diet Coke. It was so refreshing. I went back to refill my cup because I needed more of it to wash my food down. It is drafty in this eatery. Most folks had their coats and jackets on. There was a heater in the corner, which did little to heat the entire eatery. I looked at my receipt. Sarah had asked for my name. It was Marrie on the receipt. Close enough! My order was number 71. I thought that I'd hear the number called out and fetch my order. Nope. Sarah brought my food over on a tray. So nice! I thanked her and went to town eating my late lunch. My rude dude burger tasted yummy and fresh. I loved the buttery leafy lettuce, juicy sliced tomatoes, two slices of cheese, sauce, and bacon. The two smashed beef patties were flavourful and perfectly grilled. The bun was soft and held everything together. I loved being reunited with this burger! The poutine was excellent. The gravy was perfect to melt the cheese curds. The fries were perfection. It is the perfect side with the rude dude. I love that this Rudy location is in Aurora. I'll be back again for more good eats. (502)
