Amazing experience!! John was delightful and made our time very memorable. He is passionate, informative and a great representative for the Hunnicut brand. Bravo!

Some terrific wines being made here!

I am here usually twice during harvest, as the wine maker I assist makes a few clients' wine here. So do a couple of others whose wines are worth noting: Perliss, Tor, Rudius, Doumani and more are all produced here. The staff is terrific and the facility clean and well organized, unlike another local facility I pass through. There is a nice guest area with a good view. Whoever invites you here, go and enjoy!

Lunch in the cave!

Can't say enough good things about this winery. Spent the weekend in St. Helena for my 50th bday, and chose Hunnicutt for my main bday lunch. (Also did my 40th here as well!) Smaller production wines that focus on bigger-bodied Chards, Zins & Cabs. Visit starts in the outside lounge with some history on the winery, and moves into the cave for a tour. Can do tasting in either location; this time we did cave in part because of hot weather. Hospitality director Andrew Bohi is the nicest guy ever, and really knows his stuff. We love to find lesser known wineries, making very good wines, at relatively reasonable price points, that offer intimate, personalized tasting experiences. Hunnicutt definitely checks all of those boxes.

What a great winery! If it weren't for my boyfriend's friends, I may never have discovered Hunnicutt! It's a relatively new, appointment only winery, but it is a gem! Friendly staff, beautiful property and delicious wines. I do highly recommend the cave tour, which I found fascinating. Because of the personal attention that we were given, we were really able to look around and ask questions. On this visit, we sampled three wines - Chardonnay, Zinfandel and a Cabernet. While 3 of the 4 of us really enjoyed the Cab, my personal fav was the Zin! I find it hard to find non-pretentious wineries in the Valley these days, but Hunnicutt is definitely one of them!

Patrick was an excellent tour guide, very personable and informative. Highly recommend this winery if you're interested in a low key, relaxed tasting. They are a small, family run operation with a great facility to tour, and delicious wines to sample.

As someone who's slowly getting into wine, their tasting was incredible. It got better and better after each tasting. I ended up grabbing 3 bottles at the end because it was that good. I've brought guests 4x to this vineyard and they've all had a great time and really enjoyed the views and the property. The gondola is a great touch, and the whole winery is really beautiful from the outside looking in to even a whole wall of wines from each of the years it's been open. All the employees here are nice and really seem to enjoy their job, which adds a lot to the atmosphere. Cooper, in particular, had been spectacular. He has been sweet and accommodating since my first visit from helping me join the club, making reservations, and greeting me by my name anytime I visit. It really is a nice cherry on top of a really great experience already. I also met Jensen, Vic, Maurice, and Ariancili(?) and they are all super friendly and provide great service. The wine itself is obviously good. My out of town friends have all bought bottles to bring back home. The reserve wines are absolutely delicious. I've also been able to enjoy new wines they've introduced to me like the petite sirah and cabaret franc. I've done the sterling stroll and founders experience and can't recommend them enough.

Beautiful back patio deck views and barrel room. The madrigal family has been caring for the land for decades makes killer wine. Update: Sad to hear madrigal is CLOSED recently sold June 2024. Sign is down. Per the north bay business journal (Jul 10, 2024) quote: "The deal, completed June 21, includes 8 acres of planted vines, the winery, appointment-only tasting room, a garden and a small home, but founder Chris Madrigal retains the namesake brand, according to Hundred Acre. Madrigal did not respond to inquiries on the future of the brand. Madrigal's father, Jess, also founder of Madrigal Vineyard Management, retained 40 acres of vines, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The purchase price and other terms of the deal weren't disclosed. The Madrigal grape and wine family came to Napa Valley with Jacinto Madrigal from Mexico in 1938. Jess Madrigal started the vineyard company in the mid-1980s, farming about 800 acres of vines. Chris Madrigal started the winery in 1995, and it was producing about 10,000 cases annually."

BIRTHDAY SECOND WINERY VISIT…read more Two Saturdays ago my sister, her husband, and my relatives took me to two wine tastings for my 50th birthday. Frank Family Vineyards was the second and last winery visit. My sister and her husband have visited this winery before and highly recommended. At this wine tasting there were four glasses. The wine tasting menu was structured with four different wines - one white wine and three red wines. The first wine was the Chardonnay. It was a nice wine to start with in the late afternoon. The next wine was the Pinot Noir. It was more robust wine. The third glass was Zinfandel, which had a smoother taste that the Pinot Noir. The last wine was the Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the wine Frank Family Vineyards is known for. Of all the four wines the Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite as it had the robust texture along with the smooth taste. Since it was my birthday I was going to buy the Cabernet Sauvignon for $120. Then my brother-in-law convinced the host John if I can taste a glass of the Winston Hill, which was $175 a bottle. I tasted the Winston Hill. It blew away the Cabernet Sauvignon. I didn't buy the Winston Hill, but it prevented me from buying the Cabernet Sauvignon by saving $120. Overall I had an enjoyable while relaxing time for the second wine tasting menu on my birthday.

Whether you love sparkling wine, red wine, or wine in general, this is an experience you shouldn't miss. The historic caves were unlike anything we've ever seen, and walking through them while learning about their history made the visit even more special. Our guide, Francesca, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. She made the tour engaging and memorable, and we're so glad we had the opportunity to experience it with her. We enjoyed it so much that throughout the rest of our trip in Napa, we made a point of telling other visitors to make time for Schramsberg. We would absolutely recommend this experience to any friends or family visiting the area. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday, and we'll definitely be back!

I love sparkling wines but I'll be avoiding ever buying schramsberg again. The cost was 200.01 for 2 people. Not worth the price Heitz was much less and a great experience I would appreciate a response and a refund
