Had an excellent experience here today. My husband and I like to collect wines. FoR the most part, we like to support the up and coming producers who still believe in the traditional way of wine making. Adamvs was a perfect find.
We called Heather the General Manager arranging a private tour. The winery is located off of Deer Park Road in the Howell Mt. Region. The winery is so private, the only identifier at the gate is a small print Adamvs on a post just bellow the call button. We found it by the house number first.
The tasting room architecture is so amazing. The room is encased by store front glass on 3 sides and then lined with section of tree trunks showcasing the tree rings which is Adamvs's logo as well. At 10am in the morning, the room is completely lit by natural light no artificial lighting. When we sat down with Heather, she explained the visions of their proprietors which explained a lot about the architecture. They along with their wine maker and all the staff believes the traditional way of cultivating of their grapes; marrying with the art of bio-dynamics, they take sustainability and organic way of doing business seriously.
We not only fell in love with their wine, but their approach to wine making. Heather took us around the vineyard and introduced us to Chris, the Assistant Wine Maker. We were able to learn what grapes go through from fruit to wine and learn all the nuances between different wine from different lots. Most of the information went over my head, but I will never for get the passion both Heather and Chris had when speaking about their wines. That is what I think it is all about.
Needless to say, we have become big fans. Adamvs, keep up the good work. We love your passion. read more
