I've been a fan of Aces & Ales since the original location at Nellis. They are remarkable for…read morestanding their ground and not selling out to Big Beer. Hence, the entire draft selection at all of their locations consists of craft beers made by independent breweries. The centerpiece of this location at Tenaya is the impressive selection of 50 rotating craft beers on tap. This includes plenty of strong beers for hardcore craft beer enthusiasts like myself. Now, it also includes beers made by the newest location in their family, Evolve Brewing. The size of the location is also impressive. It is divided into a gaming tavern (with ashtrays and video poker machines on the bar), beerhall sports bar, outdoor patio, and private event space. To me, the most unique item on their food menu--and its claim to fame--is the Eddie Spaghetti pizza. As Aces & Ales has evolved--no pun intended--the business has placed more emphasis on its food menu. Historically, their kitchen was secondary to their draft selection. Now, the business wants to be a restaurant first, and taproom second. Upon being seated, you are handed oversize food menus with heavy lamination (as done at their Evolve Brewing location at The Bend). These overshadow the single beer menu provided separately on a smaller sheet of paper. The server is trained to use scripted language to further induce you to order food. In other words, it's not the kind of place you can come for a beer without being expected to order food. Though, that is what the name of the business implies. I'm okay with the concept of the restaurant being primary, and the craft beers secondary. As long as this is reflected in the business name. For example, why not call it, "Aces & Ales Tavern, Restaurant & Taproom"? Similarly, "Evolve Restaurant & Brewery"? Another surprise during my most recent visit came after paying my bill by credit card. The server returned with a receipt that included a 2.99% "credit card surcharge." First of all, why is it not rounded to the 3% that it really is? Secondly, this is not a typical fee charged by restaurants. Therefore, shouldn't it be disclosed to customers before accepting their credit card? Furthermore, does this lack of transparency have the potential to discourage repeat business? Or, more frequent business from regular customers?

From wings to chicken sandwich to a burger, everyone else at the table was pretty happy with what they ordered. I highly recommend the fresh margarita. It was the perfect thing after getting off a long flight. And I can't forget - if you are a fried Oreo fan give them a try. I am not an Oreo fan so I did not partake. But the ones who did seemed to like it. They smelled like funnel cakes and who doesn't like a good funnel cake? Anywho give it a shot I think you will enjoy

Håfa Adai!!! I brought a coworker with me to put him on Chamorro food, and Island Comfort did not disappoint. We ordered the Two Lovers Plate, the Fiesta Plate, and two empanadas. The food came out hot and juicy as hell--instantly brought me back to family BBQs. Tasted like HOME. Everything hit the spot: the red rice, the finadene, the perfectly marinated proteins--no misses. Highly recommend Island Comfort, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Vegas. Also had to cop some t‑shirts and a hat while I was there.

The Chamorro food scene in Vegas is a bit smaller, so finding good Chamorro food is always a treat. The flavors here are spot on every time and tastes like that nostalgic backyard cookout food. The meat is always well-marinated, flavorful, and grilled just right. I usually order the Fiesta Plate, which comes with a sparerib, short rib, grilled chicken thigh, chicken kelaguen, a hot dog, red rice, potato salad, and a side of fina'denne. It's a HUGE portion and feeds me more than once. The servings are generous and I recall only one time I was slightly disappointed when my sparerib was on the smaller end (it was one of the end pieces and you get only one in the meal). If you're in the area and love grilled bbq and vinegar and soy flavors, this is the next spot to try.

This place is located just minutes from the strip and in a quiet complex off the street. Plenty of seats for a small or large group. Service was great from start to finish and would you believe that 4 meals and 20% tip was under $100! So it was a bargain! Plus the size/portions are generous! Can't decide what to order, order a couple entrees and share. Waitress was more than happy to explain the menu and popular selling items, they also gave you chips and salsa. The tator tots was just mouth watering and delicious! We were also provided a sweet Korean sauce and a salsa, both paired well but I enjoyed the sweet sauce more (though not sweet) and hubby enjoyed the salsa. We ended up getting extra sauces! They sell them separately for the holidays it makes great gifts too!! The food was just absolutely amazing for the ethnic styles, it paired very well together. The Chimichanga was bulgogi as well amd the Enchilada sauce was delicious. While now internal sauce, it was super cheesy and moist! The fried rice needed nothing as it was so tasty and moist! I normally need soy sauce or something extra but it was perfect as cooked! Would highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Amazing portions and selections. Can't recommend KoMex enough!
