Thin crust tasted like cardboard with no flavor
Lindsay F.

Haven't had Hungry Howie's pizza in years so decided to give it a try since they had a $15 deal for 2 medium 1 topping pizzas plus howie bread. The thin crust tasted like cardboard. Very bland with 0 flavor. I couldn't even tell I was eating pizza. The hand tossed pizza also lacked any flavor. The sauce and cheese with butter cheese crust were all so bland. So disappointing. The howie bread is gross as it literally had grease and butter dripping from each stick as we picked them up to eat. Disappointed in everything ordered and expect much better quality even for a pizza place.

Just in case I have to prove that I was here

Great selection and delicious food. The sizing is a little strange with the small and large…read moredifference only being the amount of meat. I've tried it both ways and I like the smaller amount better as I think you get more flavor out of the sandwhich that way. They also have great soups. Wish they were opened on the weekends though!

It's a place you'd never know about unless you drove by it or saw it recommended somewhere because people have almost never talked about it. The sandwiches range from unappetizing to great. Plenty of types to choose from and some unique options. Nothing nearly as groundbreaking as the theming implies, but far more interesting and quality than many other sandwich and sub places. Cranberry sauce on a sandwich was not invented here, but you won't find it anywhere else in the area. The salads used to be cold and unimpressive, but they've actually improved significantly. The chicken is bad and basically inedible, but that's true at almost every place of this caliber. For a few bucks more you get something way better and more appetizing than what you could at a Subway or Jimmy Johns. It's a step or two above Panera Bread. The shop is very spacious and large with a lot of cool decor and arrangements, but with the hours you'd never come here to eat in. They used to be open on Saturdays (and would sometimes hang up on you) but have cut their narrow times to basically nothing. Carryouts couldn't be more convenient. There'll be a brown bag with your name on it to the left of the counter. Online ordering is great. Location: 4* Convenience: 4* Service: 2* Product/quality: 3* Aesthetics: 4*

A amazing experience from start to finish. I looked up the store number off of DoorDash to order…read moredelivery through the store directly (support local business) It was forwarded to the owner himself. It was 15 minutes before close & he called the store himself and made sure his staff got my delivery order placed for me. The closing manager delivered it himself on his way home to ensure we got our delicious, hot, real ingredient pizza, wings and salad. Pouring rain, they drove from wixom to new Hudson no questions asked. They really saved our Friday night. The pizza was hot & they even did 1/2 just cheese for the kids, fresh crisp salad, nice bbq boneless wings. This is the type of business I'm happy to support. Thanks again Fonz!

Looks like they use fresh ingredients, that's always a good sign for my hubby…read more Bryan took my order over the phone. Ordered 2 Small square pizzas: chicken, jalapeño and pineapple, butter parmesan cheese crust, a veggie with jalapeños, roasted garlic and Parmesan and butter garlic crust flavor. $35.21 - was the price over the phone. $36.77 was I paid with CC at the counter. They are out of anchovies. All Veggies is then. I was told it would be $35.21 over the phone. The pizza bill reads $35.44 with tax. I was charged $36.77, so they charged me some for using a credit card then. The pizzas look good, fresh ingredients. Anchovies would be good with my veggie pizza, not today. My veggie is nice and garlicky since it's got garlic butter crust as well as roasted garlic cloves. Pizza tops are good, the dough is quite doughy, slightly undercooked except for the crusts. The chicken, pineapple and jalapeño pizza isn't too bad. Not a lot of chicken, same doughy soft texture minus the bottom and crust. The fresh toppings are good. Pizza dough could be a thinner for the square and cooked through more.
