I frequently go to the park slope store and have been going there for more than 4 years. I also registered for the loyalty program which is I believe where the problem started. Since that time I never had a negative experience. The coffee is great and the staff is very attentive. Recently ( December 2025 to be exact) I noticed when I was in the shop that someone had obtained my phone# and redeemed all of my points ( 300 to be exact). They are continuing to use my number to gain points. It is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING that no one seems to be able to help. I have sent numerous emails and no one gets back to me to help!! Really poor customer service. Tend to completely ignore you even when you are quite literally the only person in the shop. Tons of other great coffee shops in the area. Ownership should look at their staffs customer service skills as they are costing you money. read more

Found this location on google maps and decided to check it out . Drinks were great- not too bitter/not too sweet (just the perfect amount of sweetness to enjoy the coffee). I had a vanilla latte and my boyfriend had a cappuccino. We got them both with half and half to make them creamer and it was worth it. Service was prompt. Ambiance was relaxing and modern- had a greenery backdrop and plants around the shop which was ascetically pleasing. No seating options on the inside but there is a coffee bar table. Wandered in for a quick breakfast coffee and was happy to see that they also have king David breakfast tacos. I picked up the queen bean, pec, and mama's migas tacos to go with a small drip coffee. The tacos, like always, were warm, delicious, and a nice blend of eggs, cheese, and other ingredients wrapped up in a soft flour tortilla. One of my favorite ways to start the day. The coffee was fresh, hot, and stayed warm nicely for my 15 degree weather, 10 minute walk back home. Why only 4 stars? I didn't try anything else on the menu! I purchased a regular croissant and drip coffee. I rare this business 4 stars due to lack of interior seating, no heated pastries, limited milk options, and limited access to sugar and napkins. The ambiance is visually appealing. The venue played soothing smooth jazz instrumental music, which was relaxing. The employees were kind and articulated services clearly. The cafe has seating outside - 2 benches and two small tables. If you do not want to sit outside, then you have to stand at a counter, which becomes uncomfortable after a while. This venue does not heat pastries, and it's not easy to add condiments to your coffee because the cafe only offers creamer and whole milk for free and not lower fat or lactose free milk. (The cafe offers oat and soy, but those alternatives overpower the natural flavor of coffee.) In addition, the venue provides sparsely filled packets of brown sugar. So you have to open many packets of sugar if you want to sweeten your coffee. In addition, the napkins were hidden in a corner. The register doesn't print receipts. With a few operational and supply changes, this cafe will be worthy of 5 stars. read more

I had Matcha latte with almond milk and it was OK. There's a faint taste of sweetness either from the milk or from the powder which I would prefer was not there. It was crowded when I first got in, but cleared pretty quickly- Good thing is that people don't linger too long. Had heard good things about Hungry Ghost so stopped in this morning for a cup of coffee to give them a try. The coffee was incredibly weak (watery, tasteless) and really disappointing, especially at $3 for a small. Frustratingly, at one point, the cashier made a comment to his co-worker that signaled that they were probably aware that the batch of coffee they were serving was bad (in my under-caffeinated state, I didn't piece it together until after getting to my office and sipping the coffee). I can understand poor coffee coming from other places, but was expecting better from a coffee-specific business! read more

It was $9 for a chai latte and a vegan banana muffin. I was expecting them to be quite tasty at that price, but was highly disappointed. The cup for the chai was filled to the brim with ice, so there was barely any chai. It was also like 95% milk, lighter in color than any chai i've had before. Not a lot of spice to it, mostly tasted like milk. The muffin was very, very dry (stale). I would highly recommend they put a cake cover over their baked goods to keep them fresh instead of leaving them out on the counter to dry out. Overall a pretty cute place, probably better for people who just want coffee and nothing else. There's no seating. read more
