What I got was a chicken torta with rice and beans. I was annoyed, but I wasn't gonna put a hit out on them for this. Mistakes happen. The taste. When I began to dig into my torta, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. It tasted cheap and unseasoned; like they just bought a rotisserie chicken from Walmart and shredded it up. The bread on the other hand had a very nice texture. It made the experience a little more enjoyable. The beans and rice tasted generic. It felt like the beans were just straight out of a can from the same Walmart, and the rice had no flavor. The portions. The old reviews are still relevant when it comes to their portions. I found that the torta could've had more meat on it. I was already slightly upset that they gave me chicken instead of steak, but the lack of protein is what pushed me into writing this review. Overall, the experience yielded empty promises with a smile. Despite the banner they hang proudly, anyone who has eaten Mexican food outside of Washington state would understand that this is not "Authentic" Mexican food.

The interior is decorated with lucha libre masks and art, so it adds a funky vibe. There was one waitress holding down the restaurant and she was on top of it! She greeted us and was back within a few minutes to take our order. I'm primarily vegetarian, but sometimes splurge on seafood, so I couldn't pass up the Shrimp Al Fuego taco as I love spicy food. It was large for a street taco and was packed with large, juicy shrimp. I will say it was not that spicy, as advertised, (although I have a high spice tolerance) and a bit on the expensive side, but very flavorful. I do wish the tortilla was warmed or toasted to amplify the flavor. They had a huge selection of hot sauces, including some local ones, which was really cool.
