wraps with lemon chicken and falafel
Blu M.

I know Hummus Republic is a chain but this spot is great! Totally a great place to get a bit of variety in my meals when I eat out in IV. I usually go to this shop pretty late into the day, and service is still good. Chill vibe here and there is ample outdoor seating on their patio! I appreciate the variety of food that is served here as well. I usually find myself going for a wrap or a pita. This place loads up on proteins and toppings no matter what. No skimping done here whatsoever. I favor the lemon chicken and falafel for my meals, and I get all the *free toppings*, sometimes adding artichokes if I'm feeling it. A wrap usually feeds me for two meals because of how large it is! Servings are big and definitely worth the price! If you are looking for something other than burritos and burgers in IV, come here!

This place is pretty good! I would say the bowls are about 2 servings. It is pretty good for sharing. The staff is really friendly and there is a big seating area.

Amazing mediterranean restaurant and is similar to CAVA. Got a bowl with just about everything in it! My vegan friend got the Earth Burger and enjoyed it! The staff was very generous with portions and was patient as I decided what to get. Have to ask for the free pita that comes with your meal. Inside has limited seating but outside has plenty and is perfect to eat with some good weather.

Chipotle's Greek cousin, Caesar. I could write a whole review for this, but I'm sure you get it. You get the vibe. Base options Protein options Hummus options Dressing/topping options All in Mediterranean/Greek theme Try the mushroom shawarma in your bowl. A tad salty, but I LOVE IT. Hey...why does the university never have parking? I'm not from here and I have been to this area just a few times, but no parking ever. Anyway, don't expect parking when you come. Figure it out.

The set up; build-your-own type of deal

FINALLY somewhere I can eat in IV where I feel refreshed and healthy and happy afterwards!! It's an incredible set up, with a build-your-own type of process like Chipotle or Blaze, but for Mediterranean food. I got a bowl (there's a few other options too, ie a wrap) with tons of different sauces and spreads, falafel, garbanzo beans, greens, and lemon chicken. Wow. It definitely wasn't the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, but it was tasty for sure, worth the money, and I was overall just super happy with the meal. It felt clean and yummy and wow. So happy this opened, I'll be back!

Lack of consistency across locations. At this location I had to pay extra for the amount of tzatziki I wanted unlike the Ventura location where it is unlimited. I ordered what I usually order and it tastes completely different than my order in Ventura. I have 1600 points and wanted to use them for a free meal but upon paying I realized you can only use the points in Ventura. I wouldn't have gone in if I knew that points couldn't be used and I'd have to pay extra for more than 1 scoop of tzatziki. The actual bowl is also a lot smaller here than in Ventura, kinda seems like they're trying to gyp students. The food at this location is also very dry and rather bland. Thought I'd be getting a free meal but ended up spending $20 on my bowl.

As soon as I walked in, I was impressed by the restaurant. They have this beautiful, large outdoor seating area surrounded by greenery and lights that creates a really nice atmosphere. The customer service was great from the moment I arrived. After being seated, I ordered the Salmon with Basil Cream--grilled wild salmon topped with onion, parsley, and a basil cream sauce. Hands down, this was one of the best salmon dinners I've ever had. The salmon was delicious, and that basil cream sauce took it to another level. For my first experience with Lebanese food, Zaytoon definitely set the bar high. Great food, great customer service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I would absolutely come back!

Hands down, the best restaurant on the UCSB campus in terms of quality, variety, and value…read more Santorini is my favorite place to stop for greek food, and actually one of the few good mediterranean options in Santa Barbara. Their vegetarian platter, which includes a generous portion of dolma, falafel, hummus, and spanakopita, is excellent. With a side of their freshly-chopped greek salad, this makes a very satisfying meal. Their gyro sandwiches and salads are worth a try. While their grilled chicken can be a bit dry, it has good flavor as well. The little team that runs Santorini has a positive attitude and are always friendly. I love stopping by because both their food and service impress me. If you're on the UCSB campus and want food that is flavorful and a step above typical college fare, Santorini is the place to go.

We were quite hungry and were still pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. Portions are generous. We shared a gyro pita combo with Greek salad. The salad dressing and tzatziki sauce it came with were tasty and complemented the food well. The gyro meat was well-seasoned and melt-in your-mouth juicy. There was plenty for us to share (though neither of us have big appetites) plus a bottomless drink all for the bargain price of $12. Overall, I would come here again if I were visiting UCSB. This is a great fast casual dining spot with friendly staff!

I'm at this place ALL THE TIME now. Best Mediterranean in SB! They have white lanterns hanging around the exterior and on the ceiling of the interior, which add an element of fun. It is quite cramped in this space, so they also offer outdoor seating and there was even patio seating in an area across the street. I was able to quickly place my meal and received a buzzer to let me know when to pick it up at the counter. The food was incredible! I ordered the falafel plate and a lamb kofta sandwich. The sandwich was loaded with veggies and the lamb had such delicious flavor! The falafel plate was so filling and came with a good amount of items. They gave us pickled cabbage, carrots, and cauliflower, which I still miss! Wish I could've bought a bottle of them! SO GOOD. The meal was filling but not heavy! It was perfect. The only issue that I'd like to point out, which isn't big but did bother me was that the water station that they offered didn't have any indication of which silver cups were clean and which were dirty. I asked a guy who was sitting next to it and he said, "Drink at your own risk." Also, if you're not a fan of little birds flying around during your meal, you might have an issue. They aren't scared of going around people. One jumped on our table and I had to move our drinks away. Aside from that, it was a solid meal and we still enjoyed ourselves!

Honestly... save your money…read more I dropped by this Jordanian restaurant /hookah lounge to chill for a bit, have a beer, and enjoy some hookah. It looked like a cool vibe from the outside, but the whole experience left me super disappointed. When I walked in, the place was empty--just the owner and two staff. No greeting, no welcome, just awkward silence while the owner stayed on the phone trying to fix what sounded like a billing issue. The staff didn't speak much English (which is fine), but there was no real effort to help or explain anything either. Eventually, I got a hookah and a beer--$48.50 for one hookah and one beer. Yeah... nearly $50. No food, no extras. That's wild. Then I was told I had to smoke outside on the back patio, which turned out to be a tiny little corner--maybe 6 by 10 feet--with uncomfortable chairs and a random wood bench. It took 15 minutes to even get the hookah (remember, no one else was there), and when it arrived, it was totally burnt. Overpacked, harsh hits, and I ended up having to scrape it and fix it myself just to get it to smoke right. Wanna know the kicker? You only get three coals. That's it. No refills unless you pay for more. No one checked on us for almost an hour, and when I finally asked for more coals, they said (in broken English and mostly Spanish) that that's all you get unless you pay extra. I've smoked hookah all over the place--three coals is nothing, especially when you're charging $35+. No one came around, no vibe, no music, no nothing. Just me, my burnt hookah, and a beer that wasn't even cold. I really tried to find something redeeming about this place, but nothing hit. The service wasn't there, the product wasn't good, and it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by being there. Bottom line: for $50, you can do way better just about anywhere else--or even at home. Hope they turn it around, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it.
