Pleasantly surprised. We were in the area visiting family. After a tourist adventure to Solvang we headed to Santa Barbara for the afternoon to eat and run the baby around. It was a rainy day and we had to be back at the house for dinner early. My wife found this spot and we parked in the adjacent lot to read the menu online, while the baby slept in the back of the car. This was one of the hardest choices I have had to make in a while. So many amazing sandwich descriptions.. and I was hungry. My wife, of course picked out her sandwich quickly and impatiently waited for me to make a choice. I went back and forth for about 15 min. Finally landing on the #9. Turkey and bri on panini with honey mustard mayo. It had some additional veggies as well. My wife exited the vehicle so I could have some quality time with the sleeping baby and instagram while she ordered for us. -oh, instagram... Some time later my wife returned to interrupt my scrolling. She had with her a modest paper bag with a life changing meal hiding inside. Upon first inspection, the sandwich was awkward to eat in the car. The baby was snoring and I almost lost some of the sandwich when I opened the wrapper. After getting situated, something miraculous happened to my mouth. A burse of colorful flavor, honey, turkey, brie, lettuce, peppers, honey, sweet mayonnaise, light mustard, all dancing on my tongue. The sandwich was a euphoric. My body just started making delicious Yum noises; my wife looking at me like I was crazy couldn't understand how delicious my sandwich was. She kept saying hers was just OK. I kept repeating how life-changing the sandwich was how euphoric how everything was happening all at once like in that movie with the hotdog fingers . But she couldn't understand. When I got to my second slice of sandwich, I offered my wife a bite. She was so excited she made a noise. I haven't heard since we conceived our child. Delicious she said. I finished my sandwich and we headed for a walk towards State Street started pouring on us with the baby in the stroller. We turned around and went back to the car. By the time we got there, Panino had closed for the day, but the door was open, and the employees were still cleaning up . I walked inside and told the woman at the counter that I needed to talk to her seriously about my sandwich from earlier. Her skin turned pale and you can tell she got nervous. I told her it was the best goddamn sandwich I've ever had in my freaking life. And then I was stuck in the car eating it because of the sleeping baby, but I had to come, tell them how great they did whoever made. My sandwich should be pushed towards Saint Hood. We all laughed. I asked for another sandwich. They said they were closed and I could come back tomorrow This was two weeks ago and I'm just now sitting down to write this review. It was so good. I can't stop thinking about that damn sandwich. I don't understand why they only have the sandwiches in Santa Barbara County and not Northern California. Apparently they're only for Megan, Harry and Oprah to order whenever they want. Go get the damn sandwich it's delicious.

Panino is one of my favorite sandwich spots I've been coming to for years! I always get the #9 on focaccia & the flavors mix so well together. The service is quick, yet friendly & there is seating indoors as well as outdoors at the downtown location. It's always super clean & well-kept inside, I highly recommend!

Best foccacia sandwich I've ever had! It's fresh and soft and delicious in every way. They have a sandwich for everyone. You can enjoy it outside and enjoy the vibes of Los Olivos. I kept seeing everyone order more than one sandwich. I chose the pesto chicken and it was perfectly balanced. This is a great spot to enjoy lunch before or during wine tasting.

Wow, such a delicious sandwich! We got a sandwich on a baguette, which was perfectly crusty and crunchy! Mozzarella was super fresh and delicious!

Panino is always a solid choice. The deli sandwiches are delicious--fresh, flavorful, and generously made. The service is great too: friendly, quick, and consistent. Definitely a go-to spot when you're craving a good sandwich.

flavors are good, but not enough turkey

first off --- I love the flavors here!! bread is awesome and the honey mustard sauce is to die for. but lately am very underwhelmed at the amount of turkey meat you get for a $20 sandwich. I tried this place a week ago and had to ask for extra turkey, which she happily gave me free of charge-- so nice! I thought it was just a fluke, so I tried again today and again was disappointed. Might start making my sandwiches at home.

I wish I could leave 1/2 stars. I would give a 4.5. Person at the counter was really nice. Let my super picky daughter know she could make her own sandwich rather than subtracting everything from a sandwich on the menu lol I wasn't sure what to expect. Ham and cheese? Sounds pretty basic. This sandwich was not basic. Ham, yes. Swiss yes. Focaccia yum. I guess I was expecting mayo and mustard? But honey? I was not expecting that. And it was so good. Soooo pleasantly surprised. The plates were cute too. The chairs were a little uncomfy, but that's a me thing. Only thing for me, is I would prefer a non-kettle chip. They tear up my mouth lol Edit: 2 weeks later, and I'm still thinking about this sandwich.

Located a hop and skip away from the presido this sandwich shop has something from everyone. Get your sandwich or salad or soup and people watch. The ingredients and products used to make the sandwich are delicious and fresh. No stale bread. You have different bread options. The chicken sandwich with sundried tomatoes pretty filling. The service was friendly and prompt. We had just sat down and the sandwich followed. They have bottled drinks from small businesses. They have mostly outdoor seating and some indoor sitting.

Come here! The workers were so nice & helpful with giving recommendations- although i dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The ingredients were so fresh. We got the chicken pesto on baguette, the curry chicken salad & the turkey and salami in focaccia. Took it to the beach & that was the perfect combo. My regret is not knowing about this place sooner. I will be back :)

Panino is my favorite sandwich in Santa Barbara. #9 Turkey and Brie on focaccia is the best! I'm normally a sourdough gal, but trust me, get the focaccia. The honey mustard on their sandwiches is so good too. I also enjoy their salads - chicken salad is good!

They offer Thai dishes including noodle bowls, small plates, and handmade dumplings. We got the Northern Thailand Curry Noodles "Khao Soi" and the Tom Yum Noodles. The Khao Soi had egg noodles and chicken in a curry base broth with coconut milk, fish sauce, pickled mustard greens, cilantro, green onions, and housemade chili oil. They also give you crispy egg noodles to put on top. I appreciated that they wrapped this separately in foil, so they didn't get soggy right away! The chicken pieces were quite large, but overall the broth was tasty! I enjoyed the Tom Yum Noodles! For these, they use flat wheat noodles with Thai chili paste, bunashimeji mushrooms, white button mushrooms, fish sauce, red jalapeño, galangal herb, makrut lime leaves, lemongrass, cherry tomatoes, and cilantro. I chose chicken for my protein. The tom yum flavor really came through! They also give a pretty big portion! Since they are located in a food hall, you can sit at any of the tables. Empty Bowl will give you a pager, so you know when to return to the counter to pick up your food.

We tried the garlic noodles, spicy beef noodles, popcorn chicken, and corn dumplings. The garlic noodles were creamy and the spicy noodles had good flavor, but the dishes overall felt a bit underwhelming. The popcorn chicken was soggy (but probably cause I had it to go), though it wasn't particularly memorable, and the corn dumpling were fine but didn't leave a lasting impression. The service was friendly and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, which we appreciated. The restaurant had a relaxed, casual atmosphere that made it a comfortable place to grab a meal, but was super packed for a weekday. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't anything special. I might give it another try in the future and order some of their more popular items before making a final judgment.
